Staff are all nice and helpful. They take care of Mum well. It does take time if Mum steps on mat for them to come, but I appreciate staff shortages at times. The home is usually clean.

Thank you for your comments about your recent experience at Devonshire House Care Home. Our residents' wellbeing is our main priority and it is great to hear that you were so pleased with the quality of our care and staff.
Staff very caring. Treating resident as an individual and discussing their interests. Keeping an eye on them. Taking to (common) room. Also discussed an issue with management (only TV-related). Sorted out happily. Had a cup of tea.

We are very happy with the care our mother receives from Devonshire House. The facilities are excellent, as is the lifestyle program. The food can be a bit variable but steps are being taken to try and improve this. All the staff are friendly and approachable.

My only moan is being woken up every hour in the night by a knock or door opening to check on me, but I can see it was necessary for quite a lot of the other residents, I have no complaints at all other than that one.

My dad was moved from Torrs to MV2 recently to ensure his safety. He was very comfortable in Torrs, it was quieter so the majority of the time he was very happy. His carers were truly amazing with him. Nothing ever too much trouble. Since moving upstairs he has seemed less comfortable, lots of residents whose dementia is more advanced which can be disturbing for him. His room is now smaller and he has lost a private shower facility. I was told that he would be moving to a room with a shower. I have left a few messages for management to call me to discuss this but not heard. I cannot fault his care. He often doesn't have a pillow and his bedding is minimal. The food is very good. He has a good appetite, a larger portion would be good. The carers and the activity leaders are really great and try to get Dad involved, which takes away the boredom. There was also going to be a 'Walking Club', however no news on this. Now we are in Spring this and Minibus trips would be welcomed.
Thank you so much for writing a review. I have asked the management team to look into the issues you have raised. With best wishes, Managing Director.

We cannot praise all the Devonshire House staff enough for making my mum's last year so happy. Physically she was not mobile but she loved so many things, like having her hair and nails done weekly: the activities including bingo, games, chats and visiting singers. Mum loved meeting her new friends for lunch every day. So many times we visited and had to find her in one of the many social rooms or in the garden. There was always someone at hand to help her manage her pain or even to chat with. A truly amazing place for a special Mum and her visiting family. Thank you!
With best wishes.

My dad has been at Devonshire since March 2023 coming from another care home that closed. My dad is so happy and very well cared for and the nurse is a very special person to my dad. The care is so wonderful and all the staff are so helpful and caring. Congratulations to the nurse and all her team.
Thank you from all our family.
It would be great if you would let the Home Manager, know the name of the nurse you mentioned so that she can have formal recognition of the great work she does. I'm glad that you feel your dad is happy and well cared for.
With best wishes.
This is a lovely care home. The staff are so friendly and Mum is well looked after. She has a lovely room with an en-suite. There is a lovely atmosphere when you walk in. Family and friends live close by so can visit at any time.
