Our family would like to thank all the staff of Down House Nursing Home for looking after our mother up to her death on 17th March 2017. My mother was very happy with the home and got on very well with all concerned.

Although I found the carers brilliant in working with my mum and others residents, I also found there wasn`t enough of them at times, which led to a lot of residents spending a lot of time in their own room especially at weekends. Whereas my mum always liked to see what's going on, not particularly
joining in but she did like to see others around her.
The meals were good and wholesome and did cater for all tastes and my mum was diabetic and was well catered for.
There was a lady that came in to do activities but wasn't a paid member of staff and I did find that there wasn't a lot of activities going on throughout the day.

Hopefully, the review may be useful.
