Recently rated Outstanding (August 2022) for a second time in a row and one of a handful of homes to be rated Outstanding in all areas across England, Queensmount offers a range of short and long stay residential and nursing care plans including day care, Queensmount also provides Parkinson's care. Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

The staff on reception are always warm + welcoming, happy to help when needed. I have found both nursing + care staff caring and conscientious and always ready to meet her needs. Also if she has a medical problem action is taken to address the issue and she is given the relevant treatment. The activities
staff are excellent and do their best to meeting mums needs and stimulate her with thought-provoking games and fun activities. They are very attuned to the needs of the residents and go out of their way to keep them happy. Mum is happy eating snack and the restaurant staff have got used to this and are always kind and courteous. Mum and I find the laundry staff extremely helpful + cheerful. They light up the room whenever we see them.

My dear friend was a resident at the care home for about a year. During his time there, he received excellent care, and was always made to feel part of the family. The staff were so nice and friendly towards us when we used to visit, so high praise to all the staff. It was so nice that after his funeral,
family and friends were invited back to remember him.

Had my late uncle's wake at Queensmount after his funeral. It was lovely to see some of the staff attend the funeral. He really did have a nice stay at the care home for his last year of his life and made some lovely friends, some residents and some staff.

I am a friend of a former resident, my husband was his friend for 55 years. The wake of my friend was there at Queensmount Care Home. I thought it was very well done. All the friends and family were greeted and shown where to be seated. The staff were very good, courteous and helpful. Beautiful and
exclusive place, the food laid out for everyone and drinks were wonderful. It was a happy atmosphere as many people knew one another and I enjoyed the video of my friend racing at Goodwood.

Queensmount is such a special place. The staff are so caring and friendly, not just to the residents but their families too. There's always something fun for the residents to enjoy daily and the staff go out of their way to ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect. I couldn't recommend

My mother has been cared for by staff at Queens mount for over 3 years now. During that time I have been very impressed by the level of care given by all the staff. The nursing care has been excellent and the staff know my mother's needs in great detail. The staff who organise activities have been amazing
- always arranging some fun activities each day but also have been super kind and go above and beyond their remit.
Whenever I visit I am always welcome and it feels like a home from home. My mother is very happy at Queensmount and this is down to all the lovely staff.

I never do reviews but these guys were so good, I just need to say how excellent the care they gave mum, all such friendly staff nothing was too much trouble, our only regret was we didn't move mum in sooner.

My mum was a recent resident at Queensmount, initially on the residential floor then the nursing floor. Sadly mum was only at Queensmount for a very short time but once she settled in, she seemed to thoroughly enjoy living there. The staff were highly professional in all aspects of her care.
Mum
has always been a quiet person but the staff encouraged her to participate in the various activities, she particularly loved it when animals came into the home and we have some lovely memories of her stroking the Easter chicks. All the staff are so kind and thoughtful not just to mum but to the whole family. She was extremely well cared for and I am grateful to the staff for making her last days as comfortable as possible. The home certainly lived up to recommendations from friends and our overall expectations. Thank you.

I recently attended a memorial service at Queensmount, held for the families of residents who had passed away in the previous 12 months. It was a lovely service, so nice to once again see the staff who had been so kind and caring towards my father and to us, his family, at the end of his life. My father
first stayed on the residential floor, but as his needs increased he was able to receive nursing care, the nurses are on duty day and night, the care was excellent, very professional. Staff turnover appears to be low, my father appreciated having help from people he had become familiar with, and come to see as friends - cleaners, kitchen staff, entertainment staff, carers and nurses all contributed to his well being. A big thank to everyone.

Queensmount is a very special care home offering a fully integrated package of care including physical, medical, psychological and social aspect delivered by committed professionals and through many channels including hands on nursing, an attractive and clean environment, a shared set of values and
beliefs, tailor made excellent diet and food provision, engaging and stimulating activities with a personalised care package. Nothing is too much trouble to make you feel cared for and home. The varied nationalities and cultures of the staff add a definite positive contribution to this healing community where personal dignity preferences and needs can be accommodated and acknowledged. This was my second visit to Queensmount - this time following a bad flu infection which left me unable to cope at home for a while. I felt that my reasonable quick recovery was down to Queensmount. Queensmount has a special magic which for me, is about its serenity, calm and positive atmosphere coupled with a very high standard of medical and social care.

My mum lived at the home for 3 years.
She was very happy there, all the staff were so good with all her needs and always friendly to her and myself when I used to visit her.
She passed away in October 2024. All the staff were so comforting when it happened. I have been back to the home since her
passing and have been made so welcome.

All staff at Queensmount Care Home continue to the 'Outstanding' CQC rating which is fully deserved.
Everyone no matter what their skill was kind, caring and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu and restaurant were a lovely touch of normality as was the constant activity in the lounge.
It was a pleasure to spend time with mum in Queensmount in her last days and I will remember them fondly.

Mum settled so well at Queensmount, right from the start. The home has an "outstanding" score, which is well deserved. It was a home from home for Mum, who sadly passed away earlier this month, Mum, and other residents, were consistently extremely well cared for and supported. Staff work together, as
a team to maintain very high standards. Everyone shows such kindness and respect to residents and visitors alike. There is a dedication that goes above and beyond in all aspects. First-class nursing support and care gave Mum a quality of life and a feeling of belonging, for which we will be forever grateful. The activities were lovely for Mum and some were brought to her, even in her final months. I cannot recommend highly enough. Queensmount is exceptional. Thank you so much.

A beautiful well-maintained care home. After being initially apprehensive about putting my father-in-law into a home, let alone choosing one, we couldn't have been put more at ease by the lovely reception staff who eased our concerns and answered the family questions. His stay there was wonderful and
he felt right at some. From the nurses, activity staff, cooks and cleaners everyone made time to talk to you and treated my father-in-law with dignity. Words cannot sum up how grateful we are as a family for looking after my father-in-law in what was an incredibly hard time for us all. Thank you again.

My father was a resident at Queensmount for 3 years. During this time the care they all provided for him was excellent, even during some very challenging times due to his health. The staff were always so patient, kind and caring. We couldn't have asked for a more supportive environment, both to Dad
and the family.
Dad sadly passed away in June and during the last few days we spent with him. The staff went above and beyond to look after him and us. They genuinely cared for him and we thank them all.

My mother was a resident at Queensmount for almost 6 years before she passed away there in June. I have nothing but praise for everyone who works at Queensmount. She received the best of care throughout her stay - their excellent care remained constant throughout despite Mum's deteriorating condition.
All members of staff (nurses, carers, kitchen, cleaning, finance, management etc) were thoroughly professional, friendly and supportive. They were also communicative and promptly addressed any concerns I had about Mum's care.

I found Queensmount very clean and a friendly atmosphere, the staff seem to be very attentive to the residents' needs and nothing seems to be too much trouble, my cousin seems to be very happy there and as she suffers from a serious condition so she can't enjoy and do all the things that we all take
for granted, yes they do their upmost best for her, so she can enjoy her remaining days in comfort and be in a safe and secure environment without having to rely on careers and family to help her with her basic needs. 10/10.

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
