Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

The home is well-run with friendly and caring staff. The quality of nursing care, when required, is particularly high. Experience has shown that it is able to offer a flexible and supportive role in caring for the changing needs of residents. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful

Queensmount is always so warm and welcoming when I visit. My mother-in-law has been at Queensmount for over a year now and the change in her is remarkable.
She visits the restaurant daily and most activities to which she thoroughly enjoys even if she's not interested in certain activities she will
still go to them and have a chat with everyone.
She has made friends with other residents and has lots of fun and laughter with all the staff there, even though she forgets their names. Well done to all staff for everything you do.

My mother has been at Queensmount since February 2022 to present. She was made to feel very welcome and has been looked after very well, nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
The residents are afforded the utmost dignity and care, family/friends are made welcome.
All the facilities and rooms
are well-maintained and comfortable.
All the staff work extremely hard for the benefit of residents from cleaning/restaurant/laundry/reception/nursing and it feels like home from home.


Residents have so many activities to do and my mother has enjoyed joining in with them
She especially enjoys the Singers and musicians who come to perform for residents.


Very pleased with the care she receives.

My mother has been a resident in Queensmount for just over a year and from the day she went into the home, the care she has received from all of the staff has been excellent. Mum was quite unwell when she was admitted and the team has nursed her back to health with excellent care and attention.
Mum
has settled in so well and is now happier than we have seen her for a long time. The home is so comfortable and clean with plenty of activities for the residents to take part in.

My father was on end-of-life care, and the family wanted to get him out of the hospital and chose Queensmount for him to go into for his last days. The manager and staff were absolutely wonderful in making his final week homely and comfortable. He was treated with utter respect, and we are so grateful
for his last days, which were peaceful and allowed us to visit him at any time.

I have been extremely happy and satisfied with my mother's care at Queensmount. Every health issue she has had, has been promptly sorted and all the staff are most caring and helpful. My mother suffers from memory problems and we did wonder if she would settle down and although it took a couple of weeks,
we can now relax a little, knowing she is in such good hands. Thank you!

The staff at Queensmount are consistently friendly, professional and most caring. They work so hard to help meet the individual needs of each person. A huge thank you to everyone who worked to make the Queensmount Fair in the park on Saturday such a great event for both residents and their families
and friends. My mother so enjoyed being at the event with the opportunity to watch all the people and to enjoy some refreshments and be out in the sunshine. It was quite an emotional occasion to see Mum outside enjoying herself after a difficult period of illness. Thank you.

My mother-in-law is being treated with dignity and respect and is as well as it can be expected with her nearly 102 years of age.
The staff seems to be very kind and always ready to help when asked for it.

It is a difficult time to review Queensmount given the restrictions that are only recently easing. In my most recent visit, I was allowed to assist with my mother's transfer to another floor. They were all very helpful, friendly and professional. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well cared for despite
the covid restrictions.

Most important to me are the staff who are excellent, food was good and plentiful. As I had to remain in my room, I cannot comment on other facilities but I was very satisfied with my stay here.

My father is quite frail but is so well-loved and cared for by all the staff. I feel more than happy when we leave him. The staff are so caring and always keep us informed of all that is happening no matter what, which is just great as we live two hours away. I wish I could mention all the staff but
there are too many to mention so thank you to you all; you're all amazing!

Job Title: Financial Administrator Joined: 2015

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
