My uncle feels well cared for, and the staff are friendly and keep us well informed on his welfare. Living 200 miles away, our mind is at rest that he is getting the best possible care available.
Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy to hear you can feel comforted knowing your Uncle is receiving the best care possible.
Every touchpoint with the home is a joy. Nothing is too much trouble and my mother's health and her condition are remarkable. She is so happy.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to hear that your Mother is happy in our care.
Queensmount is mostly very professionally run, very clean, good entertainment and staff very caring. It has been difficult for staff during Covid, but I have noticed that they are not all following the rules in a consistent manner which has left me confused at times. I did not get good notice of rule changes last July during lockdown when the nature of the visits was changed without me being notified until I arrived at the home for my visit. I feel that even though a letter may have been sent, those visitors arriving on the day of the change should have been contacted by phone/email as the post not timely or reliable. It would be good if details about my mother's daily routine, the condition could be visible via a confidential online account as that it would be easier to be kept updated without continual phone calls to nursing staff. The garden facilities are not adequate (very small and no grass area) - this, I think, has been a particular disadvantage to residents during the lockdown.
Thank you for your feedback. We follow the government guidance and as a result, our policies change in line with the guidance, which we communicate by letter. We appreciate that this might not be the most convenient method of communication for you and that a phone call may be more suitable, so...
Treatment by Queensmount has met my requirements to date, which are becoming increasingly demanding.
Thank you for your kind review. Especially understanding due to the difficult times we find ourselves in at the moment with COVID. If there is anything more we can do please just ask.
As there is a pandemic at the moment, I am the only member of my mother's family to visit one hour per week, no other visits by any other family members. So very cruel as we want to visit her more. My mother asked to visit the shop to buy hair stuff and was told "I will see if they have any", so she never got to the shop? My mother is not and has never been sociable, so she doesn't go to the communal room, so she is in her room 24/7. Such a shame as we could and want to visit and help her, to take the pressure of the nursing home.
Thank you for your review. I can now confirm that 2 designated people are allowed into her room after having a lateral test that shows negative. In addition to this, other family members or friends can also do the safe pod visits. If you can contact the home and book these visits I am sure it will put your mind at ease.
I'm very comfortable. Everyone is very nice. I'm treated with kindness and dignity. I enjoy the activities.
Thank you for your lovely review, we really appreciate you leaving us some feedback.

I am comfortable.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care.
Queensmount have consistently shown to us how well they are caring for our Mum. We miss her dearly and with her being both deaf and blind during Covid-19 has made communicating even harder. It is heartwarming to see that the carers will hold her hand, give her a light hug, brush her hair and even try to speak clearly into her ear saying our names to let her know we are there. It eases our thoughts that she is not alone and the staff's act of kindness to Mum transcends to us too. Thank you Queensmount for all that you do. Stay safe.
We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care. Thank you for the kind words.
I was very pleased.

My friend was admitted to Queensmount in January 2021. Times are very difficult in the world right now and I know how hard it is for care home staff but I am happy to say I feel she is very very well looked after and cared for by all the staff. The care within the home is exceptional. Thank you

This is truly an outstanding care home my mother had several short stays here over a number of years the last one being July this year and was always very happy with the care she received. She enjoyed the food, entertainment and saw the staff as friends as they always welcomed her very warmly into their care, and even when not staying there they did not forget her and she enjoyed many lunches on a Friday with them. The staff are always happy, friendly, efficient and caring and I could always relax knowing she was in such good hands when she was with them. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Queensmount family.
Mum was with you for two and a bit months only before passing away (old age) and the care she received was excellent. Everyone saw to her every need unflinchingly with humour and kindness, night and day. We tried to involve her with afternoon activities, but she had no interest, and I think the staff were aware of her imminent death long before I would believe it. The kitchen staff tried, oh how they tried, to interest her in food, but her appetite was gone. Thank you all.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely, kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss. Thank you so much for trusting us with your Mum's care and for sharing your compliments with us.
Good staff, good food, nice room.
Staff are efficient, food is reasonable, rooms are excellent. Quite happy all round.

Meet the Team (2)

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application
I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.

I have worked at Queensmount on reception since June 2016. I thoroughly enjoy my work here; I enjoy welcoming people into the home and making sure people are happy and comfortable.
I realise how difficult it is for families making the move from their own home to a care home and try to make it as smooth as possible.
