Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

The staff I met, who are looking after my uncle, were absolutely fantastic. So warm and welcoming. They really cared and went out of their way. Their kindness was so touching I can't say how beautiful it was, knowing that he's in such compassionate hands.

My wife has only been here for a month, but already her condition has improved from being discharged from the hospital. This is an excellent care home with a good friendly feeling, all the staff I've met have been excellent with very good communications on my wife condition.
No complaints about this

I was happy at Queensmount from the beginning. It is a lovely friendly and caring home to live in. The staff here have made themselves interchangeable. If staff for some reason are unable to attend, this causes more work for those working but the residents do not notice any difference from normal routines.

I have been very pleased with the care being provided for my dad including everything else concerning Queens Park Care home. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and dementia and despite these problems, he has put on weight since arriving and is very happy there.

Such kind and caring staff. They have gone above and beyond for my uncle, quite literally chasing a famous footballer down the street! The whole team have been absolutely amazing in caring for my uncle!
The manager was also kind enough to think of my uncle after finishing work when she met one of his heroes, she arranged a visit which meant the world to my uncle!

I was very impressed by the standard of care offered by Queensmount Care Home. My brother’s room is spacious, well-lit, clean and well-equipped and he has been able to personalise it with photos, cards and TV. All the staff have been very friendly and welcoming to visitors such as ourselves, and my
brother tells me that they are just as caring to residents. My brother unfortunately is virtually bedbound and has complex medical needs including oxygen tanks and a cocktail of different medications which Queensmount have been happy to administer.
My brother has been much happier since moving from hospital, and it is clear that his quality of life has much improved. Thank you for treating him with dignity, understanding and humour.

It was very hard for my brother in particular, and all the family, to accept that at 57 his best option was to move into a nursing home. However, he settled in successfully, very quickly, which we believe was due to the fantastic care and understanding that has been provided by all the staff after a
very difficult and traumatic year for my brother and his daughter. The staff go out of their way to accommodate visits from our very large family and we cannot thank them enough for making our brother’s life more comfortable.

Queensmount has surpassed my expectations. I have had a very difficult year losing my mother and grandmother very suddenly and then having to make the decision for my father to go into a nursing home when his needs became too great to look after at home. I couldn’t believe the sense of community, wonderful
nursing and catering staff and amazing facilities at Queensmount. The reception staff have been so welcoming and kind and the manager has been incredible and very involved in helping my family and I, wherever possible. I couldn’t recommend Queensmount more.

Thank you Queensmount for all the wonderful care you have shown my lovely brother. You also organised a fantastic meeting with a famous footballer who was once the manager of his team West Ham. My brother is a lifelong supporter of 'The Hammers' and was surprised and delighted by his visit. It really

Everyone is extremely helpful. In a time of restrictions, they have enabled me and my family members to visit my mother on a daily basis who is at the end of her life. Queensmount is mostly very professionally run, very clean, good entertainment and staff very caring. It has been difficult for staff during Covid, but I have noticed that they are not all following the rules in a consistent manner which has left me confused at times. I did not get good notice of rule
changes last July during lockdown when the nature of the visits was changed without me being notified until I arrived at the home for my visit. I feel that even though a letter may have been sent, those visitors arriving on the day of the change should have been contacted by phone/email as the post not timely or reliable. It would be good if details about my mother's daily routine, the condition could be visible via a confidential online account as that it would be easier to be kept updated without continual phone calls to nursing staff. The garden facilities are not adequate (very small and no grass area) - this, I think, has been a particular disadvantage to residents during the lockdown.

Thank you for your feedback. We follow the government guidance and as a result, our policies change in line with the guidance, which we communicate by letter. We appreciate that this might not be the most convenient method of communication for you and that a phone call may be more suitable, so thank you for this feedback. At present, we do not have the facility to be able to share care plans online and our team members will keep relatives informed of any changes within a resident’s personalised care plan. If you would prefer a different method, please let us know.
We are pleased to say that we now have a sensory garden and we are currently working on the garden to get it ready for use during the summer months. We also aim to utilise the woodland area close to the home for walks. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate in contacting the home directly. I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
