Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

I can not recommend Queensmount enough, the facilities, staff, food, activities and care are both excellent and varied.
Both of my parents have had outstanding care and attention whilst being in residence. I thank all the staff for all of their hard work, care and dedication to their roles and the

My uncle was incredibly well looked after during his four-week respite care at Queensmount. We were included in all the meetings so that we were aware of the support that might be necessary on his home return. Care staff were very knowledgeable and supportive to enable him to recover sufficiently to
become independent again at home. There were plenty of activities planned for residents to join in with during the daytime, as well as personalised activities in their rooms if a larger gathering not appropriate.

My dad was a resident for four years until he sadly passed away in March 2020. It’s always a tough adjustment from independence to dependence, but my dad was aided in this so capably and lovingly by all the staff at Queensmount. It became his home and he became such a part of the fabric of the home,
and he couldn’t have done that without the dedication and love from all who work there. I was happy because he was happy. Thank you.

My mum loved the entertainment; her favourite was the man who played the piano and sang. She enjoyed the trips out to beaches, shops and to Christmas displays. The food was fantastic, she always loved the desserts. The wonderful cakes made for anniversaries and birthdays made her feel special. We are
grateful for the devotion and friendship of those who cared for her every day for nearly 6 years. For all these things I want to say a big "Thank you".

Amazing effort gone to by the home to help us celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday during the COVID-19 lockdown. Very much appreciate all they've done, especially one member of staff in particular who has patiently arranged WhatsApp video calls for a myriad of family.

Queensmount Care Home is an outstanding nursing home with dedicated and compassionate staff. They looked after my Dad so well. All the family was so grateful for the care our Dad had and how lovely everyone was to the whole family at this sad time. I would not hesitate but recommend this nursing home

I came here for convalescence after a hip replacement operation and it was the perfect place to do so. Everyone was so welcoming and kind and although I arrived at a very difficult time for the staff, just as lockdown was announced, everything remained calm and supportive. The care I got was excellent
and there were much humour and kindness. I shall remember the experience as a happy one.

My friend has been treated with the utmost care and is enjoying her stay so much. She loves the food, and the chef has made such an effort as she is a vegetarian, and the food is delicious. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the care is second to none. We cannot fault them at all.

I recently attended a memorial service for residents who have passed in the past year, my friend included. When I used to visit her during her two month stay I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and their professionalism, the environment is warm and welcoming and my friend was looked

Our sister was very ill when she went to Queensmount Care Home. She gradually became more dependant on staff during her 10-week stay. The lady in charge of arts/crafts and other social activities gradually won her trust and was brilliant with her. The carers and management team gave our sister and ourselves
care and support appropriate towards a peaceful end.

My mother was extremely well looked after. Staff carried out duties with smiles on their faces. On her Birthday, the chef made a surprise Birthday Cake. It made my mother feel very special, also, have invited us back to the home for entertainment from time to time. Always made to feel very welcome.

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
