Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

My friend is very happy living at Queensmount and has adapted quickly to the new environment due to the exceptional care shown by all staff - management, care staff, cooks etc. Visitors are always made welcome and encouraged to join in the activities. A happy and welcoming home.

Queensmount is a lovely place to be, the activities run are fun and are always changing; meaning there is something for everyone. You can really tell the staff care about how the residents are and work extremely hard to brighten their days as much as possible. I have noticed a real sense of community
at the home and always look forward to coming in. There is nothing I would fault.

My brother has been in Queensmount for some time. He is always treated with dignity and respect even though he can be a bit short with some of the staff at times. He enjoys the food and I have had lunch with him at various times and it is always good - and good value for money. Whenever I have had a
question the staff always answer promptly and fully.

I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I arrived for post-operative care and was treated throughout by staff in a caring, friendly and professional manner by all. Unfortunately, I had to be admitted to hospital for two days, soon after my arrival, but staff handled what turned out to be a difficult
situation, due to failure in the 111 system, with concern and care.
I returned after treatment and continued my recovery from surgery aided by the excellent care.

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere greeted me as soon as I entered this care home. All the staff are extremely helpful and anxious to make my stay here a very happy one. I was treated like a special guest, not a needy hospital case. I would recommend Queensmount to anyone. I would not hesitate
to come back myself should my health deteriorate further.

The quality of care truly was outstanding and it extended beyond the patient to include family members from every member fo the team, front line carers, nurses and behind the scenes, kitchen, office, cleaning and laundry everyone. We are convinced that every single member of staff at Queensmount have
angels wings tucked out of sight in their uniforms, we cannot see them but we know they are there. Thanks to them all.

My grandfather was admitted to Queensmount following his discharge from hospital. He was in a very poorly state, but as soon as he arrived he was comforted by an amazingly friendly and professional team, keeping him calm, comfortable and at peace. He soon relaxed and felt at home. The nursing staff
were faultless and very committed to ensuring his needs were met and care in this regard to him as well as support to us as a family was very high and warmly received. The home is extremely clean and there are activities for those who are more able. Just wish he had been well enough to have joined in with them too! The quality of food is like being in a hotel and nothing is too much trouble. Gold star accommodation with gold star service with care and attention. Thank you for all you did.

Very welcoming reception staff. The building was warm, clean and very nicely furnishes and decorated. On visiting our friend he appeared clean, comfortable and well cared for.
All the staff we met during our visit were helpful and polite. Very impressed.

My father was admitted to Queensmount Care Home following discharge from hospital. I considered him to be in a very poorly state, Queensmount being chosen because of its high CQC rating plus a professional but homely atmosphere. His room was well appointed, kept clean, with good facilities and outlook.
The care received was outstanding, far beyond anything received previously. I found the staff in all departments were friendly, with a cheerful disposition, and extremely caring throughout his time there. This sentiment also applied to members of my family who visited my father. Nursing staff kept me informed of his condition and treatment without the need to ask, nothing was too much trouble. Sadly my father passed away minutes before our arrival, but we were glad the duty sister was there and held his hand in our absence. My family and I, feel that we could not have chosen a better location than Queensmount Care Home for my father to end his days, with dignity and consideration in tranquil surroundings.

The care my dad received was outstanding. The whole team were amazing and always so friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were kept informed about dad's care at all times.

My father moved into Queensmount for the last couple of weeks of his life following a lengthy stay in hospital. I can only say moving him there was the best decision we made. He was treated with dignity and respect and all the staff were caring and supportive. We were made to feel welcome at all times
and nothing seemed too much trouble. I would happily recommend to others!

My father visited Queensmount for two weeks of respite care and before his stay, he was rather worried and anxious. However, the care provided was excellent in every way and within a couple of days, he relaxed and was happy to be there. He is looking forward to his next visit and I can be content in

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
