Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

My first month as a resident has been a happy one.
I have felt calm and relaxed. My daughters have noticed that I sound happy and content on the phone.
All the staff have been kind and helpful and have made my new life in a rest home a happy one.

My mother has been in Queensmount Care Home for about a months and I can already see that she is happier and more relaxed than when she was coping alone at home. From the moment we arrive, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Having witnessed the pancake tossing last
week, it feels like one big family. The food is excellent.
My mother rings me several times a week to tell me her latest exploits, such as Google Earth and virtual reality goggles. New experiences she's never have dreamt of in the past. She's even thinking of trying table tennis. I think it is a brilliant place.

My mother needed to move at short notice into Queensmount Care Home a few days before Christmas. The trauma of this was very much minimised by the kindness of all the staff.


My mother is blossoming and very happy. We are very fond of the person who looks after her beautifully. The lady on reception

On the whole a good care home. Some carers are lovely and helpful but there never seems to be enough of them, especially if my mother asks for a commode. She seems to have to wait a long time and quite often does it in her pad.

This two-week stay was to help me recover from recent illness and operation abroad.
My health definitely improved during my stay, with rest, daily walks on the golf course, good food and care from the staff.

All the staff I met were very friendly. (Especially the receptionist.)
The nurse caring regularly for my father appeared exceptional in her ability to assess and monitor his needs.
He was reassured and happy.
The dining room was beautifully set up and this provided an enjoyable social focus for my
father's day.

Very well cared for. I chose to keep myself to myself in knowledge care was a call away. Food of very good quality and well presented gained 1-2kgs. Took local unassisted walks daily, used Rollator, distance 1 mile. Total duration no more than 1 hour.

I placed my father-in-law in Queensmount for 24-hour care and I was surprised how well the staff and management settled him in. He was treated with great respect and kindness and he was classed as part of a large family. Nothing was too much trouble and when he passed away, they had tears in their eyes.

We were extremely pleased with the care my mother-in-law received at Queensmount Care Home. All staff were caring and compassionate and treated my mother-in-law with the utmost dignity and respect. My sisters and I looked at various homes and when we walked into Queensmount knew immediately that it was the right place for our mother. She really didn't want to go into a care home but thanks to the staff has really settled in. I find all the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The staff couldn't
have been more friendly and reassuring to my sisters and I as the whole process was very emotional for all of us.

We find this care home very flexible and accommodating regarding resident's wishes. A real effort is made to help residents feel at home.
Nursing is taken very seriously. The general tone of the staff is friendly and cheerful. Sometimes, some of the residents would benefit from more stimulation but
this is difficult as the residents' abilities and interests are so different.

My experience during the 3 weeks stay has been remarkable. Immediately you notice the kindness, how friendly all the staff are. There is no pressure they are so approachable. The food, breakfast, lunch and supper are extremely comprehensive to suit your diet. The activity programme is light for morning
and afternoon allows you to meet colleagues so you do not feel alone.
The nurses help at all times to ensure your medication is not forgotten, I can recommend this care home most highly. I have been very happy and the staff have been absolutely brilliant.

My friend has been very well cared for at Queensmount, the carers always do a brilliant job of looking after her. The food menus are very good and varied, with all lovely homemade food. The team at Queensmount always go above and beyond. She is very happy and always singing praises of the team.

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.
