Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

Westbourne Tower encourages residents to stay active, make new friends, nurture interests, learn new skills and pursue favourite hobbies. The Activities Co-ordinator arranges exciting events, trips and onsite activities so there is always something to do.

The care home is close to the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole and air, road and rail links (the mainline train station is just five minutes away) are excellent for visiting family and friends. December was very difficult as my father died aged 93. He and my mother lived happily together at Sunrise.
Afterwards, the staff were so supportive of my mother who suffers from dementia. They enabled a quick move onto the Reminiscence Floor as she could no longer cope on her own. My father had been
supporting her a great deal until his death. This move was made easy for all of us by the whole team.
We held my father's wake at Sunrise and this was organised easily and well. The food and drink provided was delicious. My mother was able to socialise in an environment she already knew.
A staff member supported her all day throughout the funeral and wake which made such a difference and allowed me to talk to guests who had come from far and wide. The staff were supportive and professional in all aspect of my mother's care and in communication with me. My mother has settled well and I cannot believe how fantastic they have been! Such a help during this very sad and difficult time.

My mum went into Sunrise of Westbourne after a severe stroke which left her half paralysed and unable to communicate. Yet somehow, the care staff managed to reach her. I remember one lady (care worker) coming down the stairs and my mum just grinned. Another time, one of the staff gave my mum a kiss
and there was joy and engagement in my mum's face.
I can't thank the staff enough for the difference they made to my mum in the last few months of her life. The dignity and respect with which they treat the residents is just amazing and humbling. They are worth their weight in gold.

I have a family member staying here after moving from another home. Her quality of life has massively improved compared to her previous home. We could not fault the staff, facilities or level of care that is being provided.

Our mother has been a resident at Sunrise for over four years now and we can't stress enough how happy we are with the care she has received. All the staff without exception are kind, helpful, cheerful and very caring towards the residents. We literally can't fault Sunrise of Westbourne on any level.

My parents have been in Sunrise for 2 months. Staff have "rescued my mum". She is transformed. Food is brilliant, she is eating well and now looks healthy. My dad has benefited more than he would like to admit.

A vibrant and welcoming community with a "nothing's too much trouble outlook." From the housekeeping right up to the senior management. Excellent food, maintenance service, entertainment program and health care. Mum has never looked so well for many years and is thoroughly enjoying her stay. Cost wise
admittedly not cheap but you get what you pay for and after all, there is no substitute for class.
In summary an absolutely splendid care facility.

My wife had a severe stroke and after over six weeks in hospital, I got her into Sunrise of Westbourne. They look after her extremely well and I find the staff and service most excellent. She seems reasonably happy and very content. It is an excellent nursing home.

Our close friends mum went into Sunrise of Westbourne, has sadly since died but she had 3 very happy years with Sunrise. Everything was seamless for my friend from the moment they assessed her to the moment she went in.....very quickly she improved by the constant kindness and stimulation she received,
when we visited her we were always made to feel welcome by the team and it was so obvious she was happy, relaxed, and felt at home and safe. It was also a great relief for us to see our friend happy with his decision about putting his mum in Sunrise.


Could not recommend more highly.

At a time when emotions were running high, Sunrise Westbourne helped me in moving my aunt into a nursing home and made it so much easier.
Their friendliness from the start was amazing and their outstanding care to ensure she settled in well and met other residents with similar backgrounds/hobbies really
was appreciated.
I cannot believe how well my aunt has settled in, made friends and joins in (and now encourages other residents) with the many and varied activities including little trips out on the minibus, which go on throughout the day/evening.

I moved in her mid-January having never lived in a communal complex before I had mixed feelings. However, it is now September and I must admit I am very happy here.
The staff are both pleasant and helpful whilst the other occupant's ladies and gents are very friendly.
All in all, I must say and often
speak very well of Sunrise of Westbourne and recommend it when necessary.

It is difficult to find words to adequately express how pleased my family is that my grandfather resides at Sunrise. The care he receives is fabulous and he is treated with dignity and the utmost respect at all times. The home itself and the staff are wonderful. Knowing he is so well looked after
is a big relief for us given we live overseas and are not able to look out for him personally on a regular basis. The ongoing updates we receive from Sunrise reassure us that my grandfather continues to be well. Thank you to everyone at Sunrise for all you do.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Sunrise of Westbourne for the last eleven months. The care, consideration, patience and support that she is receiving from everyone at this home is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and all facilities are excellent. She also receives good nursing
care whenever she is feeling under the weather.
Whenever we visit she is happy and frequently says, "I do not know how you found this place but you could not have found anywhere better".

I have been working in Westbourne Tower Care Home for over 15 years. I have progressed throughout the company from Care Assistant to Lead Care to Reminiscence Coordinator and now Deputy Manager. I am very proud to lead a team, many of whom have been long-service team members, who constantly provide quality care whilst keeping our core values at the forefront of everything we do.

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I am delighted to have been recently appointed for this important role, in delivering a varied, stimulating and educational programme for our residents. I like to think outside the box and ongoing feedback from our residents, it enables my talented activity team to deliver, along with our team of amazing volunteers. I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

I have worked here since 2006, and the things that have remained constant throughout that time are the love, dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it, dealing with professionals and family members. I have worked in the care sector since 2012, predominantly in dedicated dementia homes. I have been in co-ordinating positions since 2016. I am currently studying to become a Nursing Associate and my ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about person-centred care and ensuring that our residents live their lives as well as they wish, always upholding their wishes and preferences.

In my personal life, I am married and live in Southbourne. I love the beach, especially in the autumn. In my spare time, I love to read criminal and mystery books and take walks down the beach. I am also an unashamed Harry Potter fan.
