Overall a good experience a very nice site with nice garden. Very friendly carer and staff. Overall everybody was very kind and helpfull. and in generall a very happy place.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback Roy. We are delighted that you made such great improvements while you were with us, and it is fantastic that you have been able to return to live at home. We do miss you, and your favourite table in the dining room still has a place for you, any time you fancy popping in for some lunch.
Henford initially took my dad at very short notice for respite care following a long hospital stay and rehab. When he arrive he was barely mobile and needed a lot of assistance. After a month we decided that he needed to stay. As a result of the care, support and encouragement he was given he improved so much that he has now moved back home to live independently. Every member of staff was brilliant, caring and personable. There were frequent visits and activities for dad enabling him to experience things he would never have done outside. Thanks to everyone.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are absolutely delighted that he was able to make so much improvement during his time here, and that he was able to achieve a return to living at home. We miss him dearly, but wish him, and all your family, nothing but the very best!
We cannot thank all the staff at Henford House for the reassurance they have given us as a family. My Granny as recently moved into Henford House and we have been blown away by the friendliness, kindness and professionalism of ALL the staff. Everyone has got to know Granny (and us!). They give her time, make meaningful connections with her, all the while providing her with an excellent standard of care.
Dear Laura, thank you so much for your kind words. It has been wonderful to get to know you and your family, and we are delighted to be supporting your Granny to have as good a life as possible.
She has enjoyed joining in all the activities on offer, the variety has been amazing.
Thank you for your kind words. We have loved having your Mum here in recent years - and I'm delighted that she felt it truly was her HOME. We hope you know that you will always be part of our extended family.
Best Wishes,
Trish
I spent 3 months respite at Henford House in Warminster to give my wife time to recover after her heart operation. It was a wonderful experience. From the sart I was made to feel welcome eg by the excellent reception staff. The carers were wonderful, often too thinly spread. They were very caring in the true sined and were very friendly. The food was superb with a great range of choices!
Dear John, thank you so much for providing us this feedback. As you know, we absolutely loved having you stay with us, and we will be delighted to see you back anytime in the future. Hope you have a fantastic start to the New Year!
My mother was a resident in Henford House for 20 months until at the age of 93 she passed away, I used to visit her every day except Sunday (that was my day with my husband). I knew a lot of the staff and knew how well my mother was cared for so when it was decided I needed a week's respite after losing my husband earlier this year Henford House was the obvious place for me to go.
Dear Isabel, Thank you so much for providing us this wonderful feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to have you stay for us, and we hope that you might be able to pop in and see us for a cuppa and a chat when you have a free day. Wishing you a healthy and happy start to the new year.
Mum has been in Henford House for a few weeks now - initially as respite care but is now a permanent resident with nursing needs. All the staff are very welcoming and the nursing care is second to none. They identified when she needed to go into hospital for a couple of weeks and she is looking better than she has done for a long time. Overall she is very well looked after.
Dear Jill, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you have been so please and will make sure to share this with the staff. Your Mum has settled in very well, and it is an absolute pleasure to have her as part of our community.
My mother hasn't looked as well as she does now for many years. She is on fine form now and her recovery could not have gone better.
Since retiring at the age of 67, my husband, professional painter and decorator, has developed depression, followed by Alzheimer's, at first manageable, last two years have been very hard for me to care for him 24/7 with very little help from NHS. On 3rd Jan 25 admitted to hospital where stayed til 28th Feb 25. Henford House is my and his saviour.
Staff always cheerful and helpful. Lovely with our mother.
Initial fears and reluctance of putting my husband into a nursing home have been allayed. He is so well treated and looked after, I can go home each day happy that he is settled into his new 'home' and engaging with the staff.
I have only been here for eight days so I am still learning. I expect to be moved to the room of my choice when the heating is fixed.
Friendly staff, comfortable, warm, my birds are happy.
Thank you very much for your kind words and a great review of our beautiful home. We truly appreciate your support and are delighted that you had a positive experience with our care home. Your feedback inspires our team to continue providing excellent care and compassion.
We have always been very pleased with the care my aunt received. My aunt was very happy at Barchester Henford House Care Home and being almost 3 hours away, it was a comfort to us knowing she was well cared for and happy. The staff were always friendly, helpful and very good with communication and updates. The staff were very respectful, informative and helpful when my aunt died recently.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us this feedback, it is very much appreciated. We cared deeply for your aunt and our condolences go to you and all your family. Very best wishes from all the team.
Good range of activities. Exceedingly welcoming room. Staff are lovely. Looking forward to moving in permanently.
Thank you very much for your kind words, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our beautiful home, our staff works very hard to make everyone happy!
I visited my mother-in-law to attend the fish and chips club. It was a really enjoyable experience. Thank you to all the staff, including the chef.
Thank you very much, Aisling. We love having your mother-in-law here and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the fish and chip club. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes, Patricia.
Mum came to stay on two separate respite occasions and had a wonderful time. She was very welcomed by all the staff and left each time feeling relaxed and happy.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. You know how fond we are of your mum and we are delighted that we will be seeing her again so soon. Best wishes, Patricia.
A really lovely care home. The staff were ever so kind to my dad who came in for some respite. The food was really good and so was his room. He really enjoyed the company of the other gents this time and made some friends. The staff were really kind to him and it felt home from home.
Thank you so much for your feedback, Helen. As you know, we love having your dad stay for a little respite and he (and all the family) are always welcome to join in any of the events. Looking forward to seeing him again. Best wishes.
My husband has been in Henford House for two days, but we are both thrilled with the beautiful buildings, the room leaving to the garden space. The staff really cannot do enough. They are so professional and kind and are prepared to give us time to air views, assess needs etc. Couldn't be more impressed. There is a real "buzz" about the place. It's very person-centred. The lounge and dining rooms are inviting. I'm sure my husband will recover here, and we can get him to join in with staff and residents alike. Thank you.
All members of staff were friendly, welcoming, caring, attentive, informative and very professional.
I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Barchester Henford House Care Home to any potential resident or family seeking a vacancy for their loved one.

Meet the Team (10)

I began my career as a Speech and Language Therapist, working with adults in hospitals, care homes and in the community. Having moved into leadership and management has provided me the opportunity to drive high standards of care and ensure that people are valued as individuals. I am committed to continuing with these goals in line with the high standards and superior lifestyle delivered throughout Barchester.
The highlight of my work is spending time with the people we support, and I am always available to have a chat about our home, services, staff, and most importantly, our residents.

I support the nursing and care staff and am available for residents and their family members to chat with and get information from.
I have a young son and l daughter who keep my home life busy!

I joined Henford House in January 2022, coming from the food industry it’s been an interesting change but I find one the best parts of my job is being able to have a chat with residents and hopefully helping to make their day better.

I have been at Henford House for more than 30 years. I am the Head of Housekeeping and I am responsible for keeping the housekeeping standards high. I am very proud of my role here and have a fantastic team which keeps the home in immaculate condition!
I oversee the laundry and the domestic teams, as well as supporting the kitchen team, I will gladly help out anywhere in the home.
I enjoy my position here, and I am always happy to help our residents and their families with questions or worries.I have 3 grown-up children and a dog who all keep me very busy outside of work.

I am usually found working on days and my husband Daniel works at night here.
I am always happy to help out with any questions you may have about your loved ones here. I am in regular contact with the doctors and pharmacies to ensure medications are checked regularly, and our residents are healthy.
I originally came from Romania and can speak fluent Italian.

I joined Henford House in March 2014; after five and a half years of domiciliary care, this position became available at Henford and I decided that it would be great to do more of the fun things in life with residents! It is great here at home; we get along so well and truly have some laughs. Residents have a wide range of activities to participate in each week, including armchair exercises, bingo sessions, singalongs, musical entertainment, pottery, manicures, celebrations and much more. It is very rewarding knowing that people are grateful for the work I've done when I go. Working here has also given me the opportunity to gain my Level 2 NAPA certificate.

I have worked at Henford House for many years and enjoy my role. We all work together as a team and its a very happy place to be. I love being involved with the residents and even took on some care shifts. We are one big family!

I joined Henford House Care Home as a Care assistant in June 2016. I very much enjoy my role here.

The grounds are fabulous, and I have taken great pride in building a beautiful environment for our residents and visitors to enjoy - weather permitting.
I also hold a weekly Gardening club with the Residents, which is very popular. Many of the residents have had a life-long interest and passion for gardening, and it is wonderful that I am able to support them to continue with this.

Working as a laundry assistant here is much more than just working in the laundry - I get to spend time with every resident, and have been able to build friendships with many of them.
This is a beautiful place to work.
