I'm the General Manager of Blenheim House, an exceptional 85-bed care home known for its care and warm, welcoming environment. I'm proud to lead an amazing, dedicated team who are truly passionate about what they do. Together, we're committed to delivering the highest standards of care and creating a place where residents feel valued, safe, and at home-and where our team feels just as supported and engaged.
I have spent most of my career in the NHS. I started my nursing career in Learning disabilities and then went on to do General nursing with a particular interest in Organ transplantation, in London/Cambridge/Oxford. I then spent several years within the Respiratory area, building services at a hospital in Surrey to encompass community and hospital cross-working. More recently, I moved back to Chippenham, where I was a Clinical lead in the community and then a ward manager for the community hospitals. I then went to a GP practice where I managed the Respiratory patients and undertook Hypertension management, Minor illness clinics and Learning disability reviews..
I am very passionate about patient/Resident care, Staff wellbeing, Infection control and safety.
I am always happy to chat and discuss any concerns or worries people may have. Please feel free to come and see me if I can't help,p I will find someone who can.
Hi, I'm Mandy, and I joined the team at Blenheim House in 2024.
I have an extensive and varied background in administration. Working at Blenheim House is my first job in the care sector, and I absolutely love it.
In my free time, I do a lot of crafting, which includes crochet, painting and laser cutting. I enjoy going away in our motorhome and sightseeing all the great places in the UK
Being the Catering Manager at Blenheim House brings me great joy. I take pride in ensuring our residents receive hearty and healthy meals through a stimulating and social dining experience. Our experienced catering team can provide meals for all types of dietary requirements as well as celebrating our residents birthdays with beautifully decorated cakes and a person centred special menu.
I have a passion for working in the care industry and joined Blenheim House in February 2020, having been an Estates Manager at a Mental Health Hospital in the past. I have strong knowledge and understanding of building and services compliance, Health and safety and experience in construction. I lead a dedicated Maintenance Team in carrying out daily and weekly compliance checks, ensuring our home has a robust safety record whilst making sure the home’s aesthetic and comfort levels remain first class.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling and walking our dog, Shylo.
