Blenheim are brilliant.
Dad has just celebrated his 101st birthday there and the staff made sure they gave him a special time despite us being unable to visit.
During the year that Dad has been at Blenheim, the care he has received has been excellent. Family members have always been welcomed and he had an extra special celebration for his 100th birthday last year.
The effort and work that has been put in place to ensure residents ongoing care and safety during this very difficult Coronavirus time has been outstanding and we consider dad is as safe as he can be at this time.

Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend Blenheim House.

A big thank you to all the team at Blenheim House who contributed to the video message that was created for Grandad's 101st birthday. A special thank you to the whole team for putting it all together and making plans to celebrate with Grandad. We had a lovely party at Blenheim last year for Grandad's 100th birthday and really wish we could be there again this year. We really appreciate all the care that you are giving to the residents at this time and look forward to thanking you in person very soon.

I cannot recommend Blenheim House highly enough to anyone looking for respite or residential care for their loved one. Dad initially went to Blenheim for respite care at the end of March 2019 but is now on the nursing floor. It is a very difficult and traumatic situation to find yourself in when searching for the right environment for your family member but from the minute we arrived to assess the home, my Mum, sister, brother and I were certain that this was the right place for Dad - and we weren't wrong! Not only are the facilities absolutely first class but, more importantly, and without exception, all the staff are amazing, offering the love, care and support that you'd put at the very top of any priority list! The Activities Team have recently gone above and beyond in their efforts to ensure that Dad celebrates his forthcoming 101st birthday in the best way possible without family members being able to visit under the current lockdown conditions. Thank You is not enough!

Dad has only been at Blenheim for a week-and-a-half but he seems to have settled in very well, at what is a difficult time, due to the care and attention of all the staff. Dad had been having problems mobilising and it's clear that staff have been helping him to help himself.

From our first visit, everyone has been very helpful and it's clear that staff interact a lot with residents and there is a strong emphasis on providing interesting and involving events and activities. The physical facilities are excellent - given the current lockdown we obviously haven't been able to try the food but everything we've seen so far looks highly satisfactory.

I am so pleased we chose Blenheim as the home to care for our mum. She may have dementia but the staff treat her like any other person. She loves the staff who go the extra mile to make sure she gets the most out of every day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful place or the team they have working there. The care my father received was truly outstanding. I can honestly say that each and every member of staff that were involved with Dad's care and that my family and I had dealings with were just amazing. A beautiful place, staffed with caring and lovely people, I can even include the handymen and catering staff, who also went out of their way to do things to help dad. I know you can't name names on here, which is just as well as I would have too many to mention and be worried about leaving someone out. Activities, food, decor, staff across the board were all on point.

My dad was brought in at the beginning of 2020, as he needed round the clock care. The staff were immediately on hand to help, from getting him from the car to getting him comfortable in bed.
I was a regular visitor and was always made welcome, even when I would make a coffee in the middle of a busy mealtime. Every member of staff knew my name, even if I wasn't sure of theirs.
Unfortunately, my dad passed away last Friday (14/02/2020) and they were wonderfully sympathetic. All the staff had lovely things to say about him, but he was a wonderful character.

Also, because of my dad's illness, he was bedbound and unable to eat so was unable to take advantage of the food and amenities.

We have been using the Friendship Room to have gospel meetings for the residents. The manager has a care for the individual need of each resident.
The service and hospitality couldn't have been better, we are very thankful for this opportunity to reach out to the needs of the old people.

The Memory Cafe is superb. When users hear the music, they remember the songs and their faces come alive. One particular lady has a wonderful smile. Their eyes start to look around. My husband has dementia and being able to access this is amazing. He looks forward to each session. It is so important for people in the community to be able to meet the residents and vice versa!

My mother came in for respite care, unfortunately, her husband died whilst she was in there. She will now be staying permanently. I think the care is excellent. Day trips, entertainment, gardening club, all sorts. My stepfather was in Blenheim for 3 days palliative until he died. I can only say he was cared for with love.

Fantastic staff, so friendly and helpful all the time.
Beautiful rooms, always clean and feel homely.
Nice communal areas and so lovely that you can visit and enjoy tea and cake together - such a normal touch but means a lot. The garden area is a nice bonus too.
But most of all my friend is settled and content and I am not at all worried for his well being here.

They really treat him well.

We have recently moved my 92-year-old mother to Blenheim. From the day we approached reception (without an appointment) to Mum's admittance, the care, kindness and understanding shown from ALL the staff to our family was outstanding and continues. The care and support Mum is now receiving as a resident is more than we could have hoped for. She is settling well. Thank you.

Blenheim House is a beautiful, spacious, welcoming and friendly care home. The compassion, kindness and respect shown by caring and nursing staff to residents make Blenheim House a very special place. It is not only the caring and nursing staff though but all of the staff that makes Blenheim House a happy and restful place to be. When it was decided that mum needed to go into care, we looked at several in the area. When I walked into Blenheim House without prior arrangement, it was evident immediately that it was a home of the highest standards. I was treated with compassion, respect and integrity by all staff, when mum moved into Blenheim House, my initial findings were superseded as the care and kindness was way above all expectations. All staff at Blenheim House are a credit to their care home and profession. I can now rest easy knowing that mum is getting the best care possible and is very happy.

Dad has advanced dementia and gets very anxious. He has visibly relaxed since being here and has given some respite to the family as a result.

All staff are calm and friendly and always have time to chat. Of particular note would be the dementia lead and the receptionist downstairs.

The only downside is it's a little too expensive, even for a 5 star!
