First impression fo the home is good. Staff on front desk excellent very knowledgeable about the home and facilities. Dealt with question and enquiries very professionally. The facilities in the home are very good. The home is clean and well kept, food is good, staff friendly. The cafe area is excellent
for the family. Laundry was an issue, clothes often missing.

When we arrived four or five staff greeted my husband and said "Welcome Back" (his second stay). He was well looked after and a carer helped with his morning showers. I had lunch with him on the day he arrived and on the day after I returned from a short holiday and enjoyed an excellent well presented
lunch on each occasion. I appreciate his chance of a break in such attractive surroundings as caring can be tiring when one is 86.

My mum came here for end of life care and deteriorated very quickly. My sister and I found this hard but nurses and carers were fantastic, always checking we were ok as well as mum, very caring and compassionate. Making it an easier experience all around.

I have found the care and attention that we have received for my mum as excellent. All the staff are caring and compassionate. Beautiful outdoor space and a coffee shop for relatives to use and this has been wonderful. Also giving us lunch and nothing is too much trouble. If you need to go into a care
home, this is going to be the best you are going to get! Only one thing that the toilet is not working in the bedroom and there is horrible limescale in the toilet.

My father moved into Blenheim House in May and passed away mid-August. His stay was much shorter than I anticipated but it was long enough for me to form a very positive impression of the care centre. It has beautiful gardens, delicious food, light and airy rooms and varied activities, but it is the
attitude of the staff that so impressed me. Dad had a room on Clover Street, the Dementia floor, and was very frail and vulnerable; the staff were wonderful with him, showing such compassion and understanding and he had settled well. During the last week of his life he was receiving end of life care which was very distressing for the whole family, but once again the staff were wonderful; Mum was able to sit with him and they extended their support and understanding to her during that sad time. It is impossible to fully express my gratitude, thank you all so much; you are exceptional people and it has been my privilege to meet you all and watch you doing such wonderful work.

My father-in-law would often be left unclean, unwashed and in old clothes. They didn't accommodate to his personal needs and he was often left with no one to talk to. There were a few incidences where staff shouted and upset my father-in-law. They lost his false teeth, TV remote, clothes, and other
things. When we questioned the staff about him they were rude, unaccommodating and acted as though all the issues either weren't a problem or as though it wasn't their fault.
They shrunk his designer jumper and when questioned about it, pretended it was in the wash for months hoping we would forget about it when in actual fact they didn't want to tell us they had ruined it. We took all our issues up with the manager who was awful and patronising. We moved our father-in-law to another home where he was much happier and the staff were wonderful.

I accept that back at the time to which the comments relate, February 2016, there were shortcomings in this gentleman’s care and in the way that the family’s concerns were initially handled. As with any concerns raised, we take these very seriously and seek to improve by listening and reflecting on all feedback provided. I subsequently investigated this matter myself, met with the family and provided a formal response.


As part of the continued development of the home, a new manager was appointed and we are confident that the care and hospitality services being delivered to our residents have been enhanced.


I am pleased to announce that the progress achieved by Blenheim House has been recognised by the CQC and we have received an overall ‘Good’ rating relating to their recent inspection.

When the time comes for a parent to go into a care home, it's not an easy time. Finding somewhere like Blenheim House has made that transition the best for mum that it could possibly have been.
Aesthetically beautiful, bright and airy. It's not what you normally think of when using the words "care
home". However, it's the staff and quality of care that makes Blenheim absolutely fantastic. Always smiling, always going the extra mile to make mum as settled and safe as she could be. I am so grateful mum is in such a great home.

Having enjoyed a rich and fulfilling life of travel and lots of contact with people, friends ands family - I can truly say Blenheim house feels like a home from home.


The staff, without exception, are attentive and kind and very good at making me feel comfortable.

Mum was very poorly when she came to Blenheim House after having a nasty fall in August. The staff were wonderful. Very caring and attentive to her every need. Unfortunately, she was bedridden and couldn't use her hands. I can't fault any of the staff. We always had a lovely welcome and were treated
as friends. Wonderful food and great facilities. Would highly recommend Blenheim House.

I was very impressed with the overall experience, in particular, the facilities available and the staff on hand. Reliable and accommodating all the time I visited. Food looked excellent and it was nice to take my friend out and about in the home to break up the hours. He is happy here now he is settling

My mother was in Blenheim care home, formerly Sampford House for three and a half years with dementia. I cannot speak highly enough of her care by the dedicated nursing and care home staff right up until her recent passing.

My wife spent her last few weeks at this centre. She had serious physical problems and her mental capacity was severely affected by her medical drugs. At all times the centre staff did their best to maintain her dignity and comfort level. They exhibited a high level of personal involvement and concern.
At all times I and other visitors were given as much help as possible and always made very welcome to her bedside.
I thank all the care and nursing staff for their determined effort to my wife's last days as peaceful and as dignified as possible.

We, as a family, moved our loved one into this nursing home to be closer to us all and from the moment we stepped in, without prior appointment, through the doors we were welcomed warmly and shown around the premises. We met staff and residents who were all very relaxed and friendly. The rooms are
all spacious en-suite and adorned with resident's own personal effects. The carers are all very professional and help each other when needed. Great efforts are made to preserve dignity at all times for residents. Dietary requirements are an important requirement. Medication is strictly adhered to and monitored by qualified nurses on each floor 24/7. This is more like a retirement village than a nursing home. a lost of thought has gone into providing a beautiful home for the whole family. Even a cinema where visiting children can view a movie/library/hairdressing salon etc is available. Beautiful gardens overlooking farmland lend to a peaceful environment. Activities and trips out locally are enjoyed, weather permitting, for those who are able to join in. Management always available to help. This is indeed a gem of a find and we are delighted with all aspects of care.

I have spent most of my career in the NHS. I started my nursing career in Learning disabilities and then went on to do General nursing with a particular interest in Organ transplantation, in London/Cambridge/Oxford. I then spent several years within the Respiratory area, building services at a hospital in Surrey to encompass community and hospital cross-working. More recently, I moved back to Chippenham, where I was a Clinical lead in the community and then a ward manager for the community hospitals. I then went to a GP practice where I managed the Respiratory patients and undertook Hypertension management, Minor illness clinics and Learning disability reviews..


I am very passionate about patient/Resident care, Staff wellbeing, Infection control and safety.

Being the Catering Manager at Blenheim House brings me great joy. I take pride in ensuring our residents receive hearty and healthy meals through a stimulating and social dining experience. Our experienced catering team can provide meals for all types of dietary requirements as well as celebrating our residents birthdays with beautifully decorated cakes and a person centred special menu.

I have a passion for working in the care industry and joined Blenheim House in February 2020, having been an Estates Manager at a Mental Health Hospital in the past. I have strong knowledge and understanding of building and services compliance, Health and safety and experience in construction. I lead a dedicated Maintenance Team in carrying out daily and weekly compliance checks, ensuring our home has a robust safety record whilst making sure the home’s aesthetic and comfort levels remain first class.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling and walking our dog, Shylo.

Hi I’m Chris Preston the Events Manager at Blenheim House Care Home, where I have proudly worked for the past five years. Starting as an Activities Co-ordinator, I bring creativity, warmth, and a strong sense of purpose to my role, developing a wide range of engaging and inclusive events that help residents live well and thrive. Passionate about giving back and making every day meaningful, I lead my team with pride and a commitment to creating joyful, memorable experiences. A lover of all things French—food, wine, culture, fashion, and history—I also have a deep passion for music, with an eclectic playlist that spans jazz, classical, modern hits, and rock ‘n’ roll. Fun fact: During my time as an Executive Head Chef in Maidenhead, I made Sir Terry Wogan’s 50th birthday cake!

Hi, I'm Harriette. I am the Quality Support Lead at Blenheim House. I assist our Registered Manager, Clare and our Clinical Deputy Manager, Shona, in many aspects of the home. Using my Level 5 Qualification in Health and Social Care and many years of experience, I am here to maintain our excellent care standards and support the home in its care of adults with residential, dementia and nursing needs.


I am motivated to see our residents and staff being engaged, happy and living a quality of life that is meaningful to them. Supporting our staff team and helping them achieve their personal goals is something I am passionate about.

Hi, I am Lorraine and I run the Cashmere Salon here at Blenheim House. As the hair stylist for the home, my role is to meet with each resident and offer them a salon experience to help them feel they're very best.


It's wonderful to work at Blenheim House and I am honoured to meet such wonderful people with amazing lives and stories to tell. Our salon experience is part of our All-Inclusive offer and we also welcome family members to join us in the salon for a truly person-centred experience.

Hi, I'm Ann and I am the Receptionist for Blenheim House Care Home.


I work alongside our lovely teams to keep the communication effective and deliver a first-class service to our Residents, Families and Staff.
