I found Blenheim House Care Centre very welcoming and really caring staff. Well situated on the main road from Melksham to Bath. Ideal for non-car owners as there is a bus stop right outside.

A modern facility maintained and cleaned to a high standard. Comfortable rooms of a comfortable size, able to accommodate some of my mother's own furniture. Excellent staff who cared for my mother and our family with genuine care and empathy. I felt Mum was in a comfortable, safe, caring environment.

When we arrived four or five staff greeted my husband and said "Welcome Back" (his second stay). He was well looked after and a carer helped with his morning showers. I had lunch with him on the day he arrived and on the day after I returned from a short holiday and enjoyed an excellent well presented lunch on each occasion. I appreciate his chance of a break in such attractive surroundings as caring can be tiring when one is 86.

My mum came here for end of life care and deteriorated very quickly. My sister and I found this hard but nurses and carers were fantastic, always checking we were ok as well as mum, very caring and compassionate. Making it an easier experience all around.

I have found the care and attention that we have received for my mum as excellent. All the staff are caring and compassionate. Beautiful outdoor space and a coffee shop for relatives to use and this has been wonderful. Also giving us lunch and nothing is too much trouble. If you need to go into a care home, this is going to be the best you are going to get! Only one thing that the toilet is not working in the bedroom and there is horrible limescale in the toilet.

My father moved into Blenheim House in May and passed away mid-August. His stay was much shorter than I anticipated but it was long enough for me to form a very positive impression of the care centre. It has beautiful gardens, delicious food, light and airy rooms and varied activities, but it is the attitude of the staff that so impressed me. Dad had a room on Clover Street, the Dementia floor, and was very frail and vulnerable; the staff were wonderful with him, showing such compassion and understanding and he had settled well. During the last week of his life he was receiving end of life care which was very distressing for the whole family, but once again the staff were wonderful; Mum was able to sit with him and they extended their support and understanding to her during that sad time. It is impossible to fully express my gratitude, thank you all so much; you are exceptional people and it has been my privilege to meet you all and watch you doing such wonderful work.

My father-in-law would often be left unclean, unwashed and in old clothes. They didn't accommodate to his personal needs and he was often left with no one to talk to. There were a few incidences where staff shouted and upset my father-in-law. They lost his false teeth, TV remote, clothes, and other things. When we questioned the staff about him they were rude, unaccommodating and acted as though all the issues either weren't a problem or as though it wasn't their fault.

They shrunk his designer jumper and when questioned about it, pretended it was in the wash for months hoping we would forget about it when in actual fact they didn't want to tell us they had ruined it. We took all our issues up with the manager who was awful and patronising. We moved our father-in-law to another home where he was much happier and the staff were wonderful.

Thank you to the family for taking the time to provide feedback, which we always truly value.

I accept that back at the time to which the comments relate, February 2016, there were shortcomings in this gentleman’s care and in the way that the family’s concerns were initially handled. As with...

When the time comes for a parent to go into a care home, it's not an easy time. Finding somewhere like Blenheim House has made that transition the best for mum that it could possibly have been.

Aesthetically beautiful, bright and airy. It's not what you normally think of when using the words "care home". However, it's the staff and quality of care that makes Blenheim absolutely fantastic. Always smiling, always going the extra mile to make mum as settled and safe as she could be. I am so grateful mum is in such a great home.

Mum was very poorly when she came to Blenheim House after having a nasty fall in August. The staff were wonderful. Very caring and attentive to her every need. Unfortunately, she was bedridden and couldn't use her hands. I can't fault any of the staff. We always had a lovely welcome and were treated as friends. Wonderful food and great facilities. Would highly recommend Blenheim House.
