My dad has been a resident at Blenheim House for a year now. Great staff, good food, spacious room and lovely gardens. He had a weekly Tai Chi class and the wide corridors allow him to get around with his walker with ease. COVID lockdown has been a difficult time, but Blenheim took the threat seriously
from the beginning, locking down early. They currently have a Be More Festival and Dad was chuffed with his crazy golf medal. Events in the garden have been making the most of the summer weather. I have daily video calls with my dad using an Alexa show we had installed and staff have been fabulous fixing the technical problems we've had. It has been a reassuring comforting home for him, supporting him through difficult times. Blenheim House is the best setting we could have possibly found for him.

Dad lived at Blenheim for a little over 3 years. He was always happy and settled. His care and the affection shown towards him were exemplary. Blenheim understood the man he had become and appreciated the man he had been. His end of life care at this surreal time was superb. Blenheim always went the
extra mile. Their gentleness towards him and us, as a family, will always be remembered. We will forever be glad we chose Blenheim as his home.

My Mum has been living at Blenheim since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. As her symptoms progressed over the years she has been looked after in an exemplary manner by absolutely everyone throughout and as she is so happy and content, we as a family are happy and content in the knowledge she is experiencing
as full a life as she can. She is in such loving and capable hands.
COVID-19 has been a challenging and difficult time for everyone. The staff at Blenheim have been empathetic and totally professional, keeping me up to date with every change in the home and telephoning me with any personal changes with Mum. It was happily obvious that procedures were already in place for such an event as COVID and Blenheim’s preparedness speaks volumes about their overriding professionalism and desire to give the best possible care for residents and staff.
I cannot express in words the esteem I hold everyone who works at Blenheim. I would thoroughly recommend Blenheim for your loved one.

My mum was admitted into Blenheim one week before the Covid-19 lockdown and therefore we've been unable to see her. This has been distressing for all of us.
The activities team have been outstanding at organising various events to help keep the residents entertained. Mum experienced a swim with penguins
using the virtual reality equipment and we were able to see her enjoying this on Blenheim's Facebook page. The team also organised a Facetime call with Mum, it was so lovely to see her face, happy and smiling.
The activities team at Blenheim go above and beyond, they are clearly passionate about making sure the residents are engaged and happy.

We have been so impressed by the care and support Mum has received in the short time she has been at the home. Due to the national lockdown, we have been unable to visit her or even see the home and her move there came about due to the pandemic. She had been in several hospital wards for assessment
after her illness. Very quickly, we were comforted and our worries were soothed by nothing but kindness and patience at such a difficult time. From the receptionist through to the nurses and carers, we received updates and messages and they gave us time to talk on the phone. It was lovely to see V.E. celebrations and activities on social media. When we managed to arrange a video call we were completely overwhelmed with how well she was looking. The staff helped us with getting her to sign a card for my father's 91st birthday, which they posted and on his birthday last week they arranged another video call for his big day which was wonderful for him. Thank you so very much.

My father has been at Blenheim for 6-months now, it was a very difficult decision to make, but his Parkinson’s made it difficult for him to stay home.
We looked at a couple of other care homes, and Blenheim was by far the best that we saw. Dad has a lovely light room with an en suite bathroom, which
we felt was a necessity.
The staff are very kind, caring and friendly and Dad loves a bit of a joke with them, it keeps him quite chipper.
The food is amazing, Dad starts the day with a delicious cooked breakfast, followed by a tasty lunch, he says he’s often a bit full up come tea time!
We celebrated my birthday and my granddaughters birthday there and both were excellent.
We would have celebrated a couple more there if it wasn’t for this Coronavirus.
We are kept up to date with any health problems that Dad has, even during these tricky times, their care has been outstanding.
My whole family are delighted with the care that Dad receives there and thoroughly recommend Blenheim.

My mother recently celebrated her 102nd birthday at Blenheim House at a very difficult time for all care homes during the lockdown. The Home gave her the most wonderful day and although we were so sad not to be able to be with her, she had a really lovely time. Mum was absolutely thrilled by the whole
thing and phoned me up immediately she returned to her room to tell me about it. A special friend of hers was also brought in to join in, along with the staff - though at a distance of course. Mum said that she was amazed to be 102, living in a Care Home and so happy. I have seen a picture of her celebrating and I wish I could have a slice of the cake - it looks delicious. Thank you so much to the staff at Blenheim House for creating such a wonderful, caring home for my mother.

Extremely impressed when we were asked to look around the home in early 2019, for our mother. Spacious, clean, with many facilities for residents. It was the right choice to make to ensure the safety of our mum. The teams of Carers are fantastic and have assisted greatly with the comfort and well being
of my mum since she has been residing here and nothing is too much trouble. It is so nice to visit and take my mum out to the magnificent gardens with so many features which she dearly loves and enjoys or to have a coffee and cake within the cafe area. Entertainment is provided to the residents on a regular basis and it is a joy to see the happiness of all being involved. From the Maintenance team to the Catering Team, they all play such an important role by putting the residents first and making sure that everything is right. The Home Manager has done an incredible job in leading the brave and dedicated team through this very difficult time. We thank you all at Blenheim House.

My Father moved into Blenheim House Care Home in February 2020. We were dreading having to put him into a care home but Dad and ourselves were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. There are so many activities going on every day to suit all residents. The staff are absolutely amazing
with Dad which in turn gives us peace of mind and we know he's being so well looked after and cared for.
Blenheim is a home I'd highly recommend......you won't be disappointed.
Dad has settled in so well and his room is amazing. It's like home from home.

The care has always been of a gold star standard. I did not imagine it could get better. However, the standard of care during COVID19 excels the normal gold standard. As a relative I can say we have been kept informed every step of the way, care for the residents has continued to be of gold standard
despite a national pandemic. I have been sent photos, videos had online chats with my mother. Daily postings demonstrate the staff at Blenheim House are ensuring the pandemic is not affecting the residents' daily activities - birthday celebrations, VE day celebrations continue. Thank you all the way you have altered working practices to ensure the residents are kept safe and happy. One grateful relative - thanks to you all.

Blenheim Care Home is also a Care Family.
The Blenheim Family created and shared with our family something we will treasure forever, the time to enjoy our Uncle for all that mattered to him and all that he was as a person. Blenheim is the family that was there for our Uncle when we couldn’t be, providing
the medical expertise and equipment that we couldn’t possibly provide. The Blenheim Family gave their hearts to ensure that our Uncles wishes were delivered 100% and with professionalism. Our Uncle never felt lonely or unsafe. He knew a friendly smile or chat was always just a bell push away, he knew the right equipment was there to lift him, bathe him, protect him from falling and pressure ulcers. His health and happiness were constantly monitored. The Blenheim Family made every day an important day for my Uncle. To receive the beautiful video clips and photos as a lasting record of my Uncle, from the Events Team, was the most amazing and precious gift.

My Grandad has been a resident at Blenheim for over a year now, initially, it was really hard to come to the conclusion that our Husband/Dad/Grandad couldn't be adequately cared for at home but as soon as we visited Blenheim that changed. The staff and whole atmosphere made the decision a lot easier
to make. It's bright, cheerful and everyone is so helpful and above all...Caring! Grandad was 100 last year, around 25 of us came to celebrate, we had a beautiful room to gather in, Blenheim went above and beyond to make it a special day.
As they have again this year, as we're unable to go to visit due to Covid, we've made a video to show Grandad, someone in the activities team has recorded staff messages and helped me put it all together, they're putting banners, balloons up and making him a cake! It's the next best thing!
Grandad receives excellent care in beautiful surroundings, there's nowhere else we would be happy for Grandad to be especially right now. Massive Thank you to all for working so hard.

Blenheim are brilliant.
Dad has just celebrated his 101st birthday there and the staff made sure they gave him a special time despite us being unable to visit.
During the year that Dad has been at Blenheim, the care he has received has been excellent. Family members have always been welcomed and
he had an extra special celebration for his 100th birthday last year.
The effort and work that has been put in place to ensure residents ongoing care and safety during this very difficult Coronavirus time has been outstanding and we consider dad is as safe as he can be at this time.

I cannot recommend Blenheim House highly enough to anyone looking for respite or residential care for their loved one. Dad initially went to Blenheim for respite care at the end of March 2019 but is now on the nursing floor. It is a very difficult and traumatic situation to find yourself in when searching
for the right environment for your family member but from the minute we arrived to assess the home, my Mum, sister, brother and I were certain that this was the right place for Dad - and we weren't wrong! Not only are the facilities absolutely first class but, more importantly, and without exception, all the staff are amazing, offering the love, care and support that you'd put at the very top of any priority list! The Activities Team have recently gone above and beyond in their efforts to ensure that Dad celebrates his forthcoming 101st birthday in the best way possible without family members being able to visit under the current lockdown conditions. Thank You is not enough!

Dad has only been at Blenheim for a week-and-a-half but he seems to have settled in very well, at what is a difficult time, due to the care and attention of all the staff. Dad had been having problems mobilising and it's clear that staff have been helping him to help himself.
From our first visit,
everyone has been very helpful and it's clear that staff interact a lot with residents and there is a strong emphasis on providing interesting and involving events and activities. The physical facilities are excellent - given the current lockdown we obviously haven't been able to try the food but everything we've seen so far looks highly satisfactory.

I cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful place or the team they have working there. The care my father received was truly outstanding. I can honestly say that each and every member of staff that were involved with Dad's care and that my family and I had dealings with were just amazing. A beautiful
place, staffed with caring and lovely people, I can even include the handymen and catering staff, who also went out of their way to do things to help dad. I know you can't name names on here, which is just as well as I would have too many to mention and be worried about leaving someone out. Activities, food, decor, staff across the board were all on point.

My dad was brought in at the beginning of 2020, as he needed round the clock care. The staff were immediately on hand to help, from getting him from the car to getting him comfortable in bed.
I was a regular visitor and was always made welcome, even when I would make a coffee in the middle of a busy
mealtime. Every member of staff knew my name, even if I wasn't sure of theirs.
Unfortunately, my dad passed away last Friday (14/02/2020) and they were wonderfully sympathetic. All the staff had lovely things to say about him, but he was a wonderful character.
Also, because of my dad's illness, he was bedbound and unable to eat so was unable to take advantage of the food and amenities.

I have spent most of my career in the NHS. I started my nursing career in Learning disabilities and then went on to do General nursing with a particular interest in Organ transplantation, in London/Cambridge/Oxford. I then spent several years within the Respiratory area, building services at a hospital in Surrey to encompass community and hospital cross-working. More recently, I moved back to Chippenham, where I was a Clinical lead in the community and then a ward manager for the community hospitals. I then went to a GP practice where I managed the Respiratory patients and undertook Hypertension management, Minor illness clinics and Learning disability reviews..


I am very passionate about patient/Resident care, Staff wellbeing, Infection control and safety.

I lead a dedicated Maintenance Team in carrying out daily and weekly compliance checks, ensuring our home has a robust safety record whilst making sure the home’s aesthetic and comfort levels remain first class.

Using my Level 5 Qualification in Health and Social Care and many years of experience, I am here to maintain our excellent care standards and support the home in its care of adults with residential, dementia and nursing needs.


I am motivated to see our residents and staff being engaged, happy and living a quality of life that is meaningful to them. Supporting our staff team and helping them achieve their personal goals is something I am passionate about.
