I just wanted to say 'Thank you' to all the staff of Harrison House who looked after my mom at the end of her life.
I could not have asked for anything more. You were all so kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble; from basic nursing care to the love and attentiveness shown that was obvious to us as a family. The house manager and staff went above and beyond in mom's care. Spending time just holding her hand when we were not around. That was heartwarming, knowing mom had such contact.
Mom was only with you for a short while but you all treated her like she was your own family.

Thank you all again from our whole family.

My father had the best care and it is only because of that that we had an extra four years. Collins House is amazing and the staff go above and beyond. The only thing is you definitely need more staff!

My father has been in Parklands for seven years, during which time I have always found staff extremely caring and helpful. The administration staff, especially one, always looking out for both my father and myself. I know they will miss my father and always felt it was a family environment.

Thank you.

This home is currently undergoing a lot of changes which I believe will improve the overall standard of care. Staff are caring and familiar with the needs of residents; they show genuine fondness and attachment to residents. The environment needs some improvements and this is underway. I feel confident that staff will respond to my mother's health and care needs.

Elmore House is brilliant for my mother in law. There has been a dramatic improvement in her physical, emotional and mental condition.
The staff on Elmore appear to be very resident focused with a good manager in charge.

Please strive to keep improving!

Completely satisfied with my husbands care satisfied with his appearance. My husband is settled and content which makes me feel better. My communication with his carers is very good. Christmas day I was invited to dinner which was excellent and enjoyed by all. As was boxing day with a singer providing entertainment, some of the residents danced! The home seems to have problems with pairing pyjamas.

My husband and I had a lovely Christmas Day. We congratulate the staff, they were fantastic, really caring and helpful, I would not fault them at all. They looked after everyone making it a lovely day. Decorations were lovely too.

I have one complaint about pyjamas and t-shirts going missing.

My wife has received excellent care in every area of need. Despite having advanced Vascular Dementia and having been rejected by another home because they were unable to cope with her, she seems to have an enjoyable time during the 11 days respite. Able to take part in activities but enjoying "company" the care home have coped ably with her despite the fact that she can be stubborn at times, particularly with eating, drinking and dressing.

Dad has a lovely room which has just been refurbished. The staff work really hard to ensure all of my dad's needs are fully met. He is always smartly dressed and changed many times in a day and this is done effortlessly. The staff have a nickname for dad and although dad has no capacity responds well to "Gaffer". The staff also offer time and support to us as a family. I couldn't have chosen a better second home for Dad.

My nan entered Samuel House when her dementia started to develop which meant she could no longer live at home. She was disengaged with everything. Now she appears to have a new lease of life and a more positive outlook! Thank you to all at Samuel House.

I am so relieved to have my mother somewhere safe, secure, clean and caring. I struggle to come to terms with and deal with her dementia but all the staff in Clarendon House at Parklands Court, Bloxwich are so understanding and helpful, they help me cope.

The house manager is brilliant, the staff are all superb at dealing with Mom, plus the activities coordinator always has something going on to encourage the residents to stay active - and she's brilliant with them. They knit, sing and help in the garden.

Last week they went to Chester Zoo and had a fantastic time - Mom even remembers going and what a lovely day she had, loving all the animals and especially the monkeys! Mom also has her hair done once a week by the visiting hairstylist which gives her a lift and keeping her looking like my Mom, despite the fact that most of the time she's not really with us in 2017.

Just in September, they've had a French week, Spanish week, Italian Week and Greek week. I think a German week is on the cards (Mom is not so keen on that as she remembers the war!!) Relatives and visitors are always welcome at whatever time they choose and we can always ring up and speak to Mom or ask how she is.

I am so grateful for Parklands Court, Clarendon House and the wonderful care given to Mom. A huge thank you!!

Overall Experience
When my husband deteriorated to the point of needing a care home, I was devastated, and wanted to provide him the best, most caring place I could. I was so dismayed by many other homes, whereby some didn't even want my beloved husband as he was too active, requiring more work.
My first visit to Parklands and I was won over by the way the staff interacted with the residents, encouraging them to make choices, providing activities and environmental triggers to bring back memories. They were and are treated like individuals, with respect for their past and future. I wasn't sure how I could afford financially to bring him here, but morally I couldn't justify not giving him this.

This place is wonderful. The meals are good, with great choice but more than that, they encourage spouses to come and share meals with their beloved, as they would at home. The staff here truly do care, and they do a brilliant job. I have peace of mind knowing my husband is actually cared for here.

It was my wife's grandmother's 100th birthday. The staff at Parklands made every effort to welcome us to the nursing home and had made such a special effort to provide food, drinks, cake and balloons for the occasion.

It is quite clear that all the staff who work here make a great team and take great pride in their work. Most importantly, they put the residents first.
