Parklands Court Care Home

My experience of Parklands Court Care Home I would only be too pleased to recommend it due to the love, care and devotion to all the patients of this nursing home. It is a difficult job because the people being cared for cannot speak for themselves they all work every hard to give the patients a better quality of life. I also noticed the cleanliness of every room I always told the cleaners that there is never any unpleasant smells well done. The staff all work hard together, I have always said it begins with the management then you get a good workforce and a lovely family atmosphere. Thank You.

My husband came here after being in hopsital for 10 weeks without any will to do anything. Within 1 day he was dressed and sitting in a chair eating a meal. He could not speak properly now he is talking to us most of the time we are with him. All of the staff give the residents good care,

Mom was very happy during the 14 months she resided there. Staff were always courteous, cheerful and helpful "first class". No hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone seeking a care/nursing home.

A very friendly, homely care home. All staff and management are very helpful, caring and understanding to both residents and family. My mom has really improved since leaving hospital to stay here. She looks better, feels better and seems more like her old self.

Met the unit manager today (never seen any manager before) He seems proactive and Collins House seems to be running more efficiently than of late.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their care of my cousin especially in her last days. I would also like to commend the managers of the unit for the care of my cousin but also in supporting us the family.

Everyone at Parklands Court Care Home has been supportive and very helpful with the care of both my mother and my dad. My dad is getting much better and they are catering for his needs and also keeping me informed.

We have been treated with great respect and kindness by all the staff at Parklands. The Manager has spent a great deal of time explaining my mother's medical condition and how it is being dealt with by the medical team. The facilities provided by Bupa are of the highest standard. My mother's room overlooks a lovely garden and is a home from home.

I find the staff at Parklands to be very caring, courteous and understanding. Not only do they care about the residents, they also care about the relatives. It is very reassuring to see the manager in all areas of the unit.

When we asked the unit manager for information about my mum, he was really helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. He showed us transparency with documents and looked into our questions/concerns with speed and detail.

My brother was cared for and well looked after. Any issues I have I spoke to the staff and were sorted immediately e.g. feet raised so nails weren't catching on feet also chiropodist came to cut them.

The staff were friendly and professional and provided my aunt with a high level of care especially as she was entering the last stages of her life. I also witnessed how patient and caring they were when dealing with more difficult residents.

My mum has come on so well since coming to Parklands. The staff are so caring and helpful. She has settled in well and is always happy to see the staff and visitors alike. Her diet has improved now she can swallow and has her teeth.

I was next of kind of a gentleman who spent his last months in the Collis Unit (palliative care) - previously in the Claredon Unit and was treated with wonderful love, care and first class medical attention. Knowing this person he was given dignity by the unit manager and the staff of which I am so indebted to. All the staff in this unit are dedicated to their work, including the unit manager, nurses, carers and the house keepers.

There has been a big improvement since the new manager arrived and excellent service is provided by all the staff. Food could be a bit more colourful but overall excellent.

In our experience here, we have been provided with helpful and friendly service from all members of staff. We have no complaints about anything that has happened during my uncles stay here. There are very helpful services like a chiropodist wich makes things easier.

As a relative I find the staff approachable, they will listen to any complaints you may have and they will empathise. Given the demands of the residents being dementia residents, the staff are very patient and diligent. The staff are excellent, but rushed. Therefore more staff are needed. There is now a unit manager who tries to address our concerns and issues, he is very approachable and understanding.
