Hampton Court has been purpose-built to meet a wide range of nursing requirements, with staff particularly experienced in personalised assistance for mental health problems.

Supporting a satisfying daily lifestyle, alongside the skilled care provision, the home offers access to activities, interests and therapies, such as reminiscence, water spa and visual therapy, as well as exercise and music classes.

The Lodge is a specialist unit set within the care home. Set over two floors this dedicated service has been carefully designed and fully refurbished to support the health and care needs of the elderly population within Wolverhampton and the West Midlands, specifically focusing on those with Complex Dementia.

The setting offers a specialist service for people, primarily over the age of 55, who have complex dementia. Individuals with complex dementia often present with multiple and challenging needs that require experienced care in a safe and appropriate environment. All staff are trained to provide the highest quality of therapeutic support and care to people who have varying forms of dementia, progressive neurological illnesses and acquired brain injuries (including strokes).

Operating as a separate care facility within Hampton Court The Lodge supports up to 20 individuals with complex dementia; all bedrooms are single rooms with en suite. The refurbishment and reconfiguration has created bespoke internal and external day spaces designed with personalised care and the challenges of dementia firmly in mind.

The Lodge benefits from it’s own secure enclosed dementia friendly garden and internal spaces which include a 50’s themed Diner, a Cinema room and a lounge/games room on the ground floor. On the first floor there is The Lodge ‘Tea Room’ providing a lounge and dining area for those individuals choosing to spend time on the first floor.

My nan has been here for just under a year and I can honestly say the care is second to none. She has never been so happy and each drive to visit that used to hold anxiety now holds excitement and reassurance that she is cared for. Each carer knows my nan and her personality and I go away each time
knowing she is cared for as the beautiful human she is.
As someone who used to work in care, I can honestly say this care home is second to none in being the best.

Dad broke his hip when at his first care home.
After his hip surgery, he was subsequently moved to Hampton Court, where Dad, family and relatives were given a warm welcome from the management, all the care staff and the nurses every time we visited.
At Hampton Court, we were pleased with the care
accorded to Dad. The staff members were so patient and understanding considering that Dad suffers from dementia and can be unruly sometimes.
Sadly, however, Dad had to be moved to another care home with request from other family members for a reason that could have been solved.
On his last day at Hampton Court, the staff gave Dad a very emotional farewell where a few tears were shed among us and the staff.
My wife and I can't thank the staff enough for the help and care they've given Dad, and personally I would recommend this care home for anyone looking for a friendly, loving and caring home for a family member.

I love to visit Dad. He is well cared for, and the staff always make me feel at home. I make Dad drinks and eat meals with him. I stay and play cards and games. We have a chat in his room and talk to the other residents. Dad can be difficult at times, and I know he is treated with care and kindness.

My mom was moved to Hampton Court Care Home as a result of her vascular dementia worsening and the need for her complex needs to be more appropriately managed. The family were understandably concerned at the impact that this would have on my 90-year-old mom. A few months into her new home, our concerns
have been fully alleviated. My mom has put on weight (despite losing her teeth her appetite is insatiable) and she is happy, content and her previous sparkle has returned. The care that she is in receipt of is phenomenal. Every carer we have met has a smile, a tale to tell on what my mom has been up to and importantly know her well! We have covered her room in the photos of her life (so we can discuss and gently remind her of her full life to date when we visit) and the staff have taken particular care to ensure her likes and dislikes are catered for. As we say in the Black Country...the care at Hampton Court is simply bostin!
Reply from Gina Cirino, Care Home Manager at Hampton Court Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Hampton Court. We are deeply touched by your heartfelt words and are thrilled to hear that your mother's transition to our care home has been met with such positive outcomes. Navigating the journey of dementia care can undoubtedly be challenging, and we understand the concerns you and your family had prior to your mother's move. It brings us immense joy to learn that your concerns have been fully alleviated and that your mother is thriving in her new home. Your kind words, especially the mention of "bostin" care, truly mean the world to us. We are dedicated to continuing to provide the highest standard of care and ensuring that your mother's happiness and well-being remain our top priority.

Management communicates very well, and nothing is too much trouble. Watching the care staff interact with the residents is amazing; they work so hard - that is clear to see, and treat the residents with kindness and respect. We arrived in the evening, unannounced, to hear the residents singing and some
dancing with care staff. The care staff involved all residents, making sure they were having a good time. I went to our aunt's bedroom and was amazed to see the effort the staff had put into her room; she is an Elvis fan, and there was a life-sized cut out of Elvis in her bedroom. The staff really do care about their residents. It was clear our aunt has personal-centred care. Management and staff took time to chat with us about how our aunt was, supplying us with valuable information - nothing was too much trouble. Knowing our aunt is in fabulous care hands is so reassuring, so thank you. Your smiles are infectious and definitely passed down to the residents; you really are all worth your weight in gold!

Hampton Court staff and management are fantastic in there roles! They helped my relative settle in, he had bonds with a number of staff which we was surprised at as he likes his own company and did stay in his room a lot but they checked on him regularly throughout the day and night as he doesn’t sleep
well. We are gutted that it was decided he needed to be moved! (Not by our choice) The team helped us to try and keep him there as he loved it there, he just started mixing with other residents venturing out his room into the lounge and he didn’t want to leave! We can not thank them and all the staff on the lodge for everything they did. They had patience and took time to understand his needs as well as been there for us helping us through the process. I’ve worked in homes and with experience I can put my hand on my heart and say this is the best home I’ve come across! Wish we could have kept him at Hampton Court!
Reply from Gina Cirino, Care Home Manager at Hampton Court Care HomeThank you so much for your heartfelt words. It really is important to us our residents feel at home at Hampton Court and form such meaningful bonds with our team. We genuinely appreciate your recognition of our efforts in providing personalised care and support. While we're saddened by the circumstances that led to the decision, we're grateful for the time we spent with your relative and we wish both all the very best for the future.

My brother sadly passed away on 03/10/2023, I can not thank the staff with enough words for how he was treated there. In every way, how caring, how I was kept informed every day of his condition. The times I sat alone a nurse would as busy as they were, would sit and talk when they had the chance to.
The aftercare phone calls asking if I was okay, and do I need any help in any way. My brother wasn't in there more than two weeks but as he slowly shut down he was treated as if he had been there for years. While I tried to work as I live alone to pay the bills Hampton Court helped in more ways than they know. Thank you so much there for helping me lose the last of my family and helping me get through things.

An amazing care home! The staff are attentive, kind, and caring, and the support they have shown to us as a family as well as my grandpa has been incredible. their medical restrictions. Would be happy to recommend it.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the management team and staff for all their support during my 4-week visit and for their commitment to ensuring that we were working in collaboration to provide my father with the best possible outcomes. There were many changes I had requested for my father, which
were implemented in a timely manner and the staff were responsive, flexible and adaptive to these changes. It was reassuring for me to see the vast improvement and change in culture from the previous owner, in a short period of time. I look forward to seeing how the service flourishes with the changes ahead and I'm under no doubt, with the new leadership this home with reach a level of excellence.

My mother passed away on 07/06/2023.
She had been a resident for 7 years and was well cared for and even loved by staff.
The team were particularly supportive durin mom's final few days. They ensured that her diminishing needs were met, e.g. encouraging, but not forcing, drinking and eating. Talking
with Mom and joking as appropriate - the process was quite supportive and normalised.
It was so very important to me that I should be there at her passing. Nurse Staff contacted me regularly to update me and keep me informed. All staff involved were sensitive, encouraging, reassuring and supportive.
I, thankfully, attended her final moments with other family members.
On the following day, we were given fabulous advice when trying to select her clothes for her funeral service. We were given time and space but they were at hand when needed.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.813)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.813) out of 10 for Hampton Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 43 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.813 for Hampton Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (420 Excellents x 5) + (73 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 502 Ratings = 4.813
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hampton Court Care Home is based on 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 registered maximum number of service users is 16, which has been reached with 43 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
