My father has been a resident at Grosvenor House for about a year following his diagnosis of vascular dementia after several strokes. During lockdown one and two, the staff always accommodated us, allowing us to talk to him on the phone wherever possible and as he was more articulate when he said how much he liked it there. Now we are able to visit, again the staff go above and beyond to accommodate us, very professionally providing us with PPE and carrying out the required tests, whilst still making the visit comfortable and personal for us and my father. I have to make a personal and heartfelt thanks to one member of staff in particular, who has been our main point of contact for both phone calls and visits, without whom the experience would have been much less enjoyable.

Myself and my mother was greeted warmly by a lovely lady though, I can’t remember her job role. I’m aware I can’t use her name but she is a credit to the care home, the way she was with my nan was heartwarming and helps me rest assured knowing she’s in good hands.

Every time I've called to speak to or about my grandad, the staff have greeted me with kindness and seem to be very knowledgeable about his well-being. The staff really put your mind at ease! He couldn't have been in better, friendlier hands.

My mom has spent the last 3 years of her life as a resident of Grosvenor House. She has always been very happy. She has been well cared for and has enjoyed getting to know the staff and residents. She was treated with care and dignity until the very end. Thank you for making our lives easier and for looking after our mom so well.

My mother has been at Grosvenor House for three years now and is very settled and comfortable. The care she has received and continues to receive is exceptional and the carers working there are very attentive to her needs. Whilst we would absolutely prefer our mom to be well and at home, this is not possible, so it is very reassuring to know she is 'happy' and extremely cared for.

As my Mum's (93 years old) health significantly declined over the last few years we were really struggling to look after her at home, but I was very reluctant to put her into a Care Home. It was an extremely difficult decision. We were almost at breaking point before we decided to try Grosvenor House. I had looked round most of the local homes but felt comfortable with the offering at Grosvenor House. I made the right decision. The rooms and facilities are lovely; but more importantly, the team that work there are very kind, caring and supportive to both Mum and my family! The Manager is very well organised, efficient and supportive. Mum adores the Entertainments Coordinator; who is always making her laugh out loud; something that hasn't happened for a long time. Mum loves the food. Even though she's now on a puréed diet, the Chef and his team prepare it with loving care, and it’s always beautifully presented. Last but not least the nursing team are fantastic too.

Dad was transferred from the hospital after having a stroke. Due to COVID-19, we didn't have a choice of the care home. We could not have asked for a better care home. Dad smiled so much, he loved the staff. He was happy, comfortable and not in pain. He loved it here and we loved coming here to see him. xx

My mother was in Grosvenor House nursing home for just a short time, one month before passing away. I would 100% recommend this home to relatives or friends. A lovely nurse spent time with my mother and found out some very useful details of my mom's final wishes. She was well cared for, and Mom was not alone in her final time/days.

Grosvenor House is a beautifully maintained care home, clean, bright and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to care for my father during the final two months of his life. They always kept his spirits up and addressed his needs, as well as helping the rest of the family come to terms with his imminent passing. That they managed to maintain an exceptional level of care during the first weeks of the COVID-19 outbreak is outstanding and a testament to their commitment and dedication to their jobs and those in their charge. I was constantly surprised and impressed by the way they handled the crisis and their residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor House to anyone who might be looking for care for a family member or loved one. The staff are truly a credit to their profession.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Grosvenor house for years. In that time, she has presented some challenges and some fun moments. She has required complete physical care as well as emotional and mental health care. Throughout all of the staff have treated her with compassion and competence. They have shown her friendliness and engaged with her even when this may not have been easy. I cannot thank them enough for ensuring her comfort and safety.
