This is a well-run care home, with friendly and helpful staff. The house and gardens provide a good environment, with suitable spaces and rooms for residents and visitors. There are good activities, especially the animals, reminiscence sessions, and activities tailored to the current season. There are some trips out, but would be better if more were organised in the spring and summer. Overall, a very good nursing home.

Grosvenor House is a beautiful building and a very special place to live. The staff are very warm and welcoming and there is nothing they won't do to help residents live their lives to the full. My dad has recently moved there and has settled in very quickly. We are very happy in every way, from the excellent food, his warm and comfortable room, the management team making everything run smoothly and knowing his needs are more than met every day, with dignity and pride.

This is the first time I have had to use care facilities for any member of the family. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how good the care home was. Exceeded all my expectations.

When my wife was admitted to the home, she was initially very apprehensive. It soon disappeared when she found out that from the management to the general staff, she was cared for in a loving way. She described it like living at home with a large family.

The home was spotless. Although my wife is NBM, comments from other residents suggest that the food is wonderful.

My lovely mom moved into Grosvenor House at the end of June after 6 months of trauma and instability in the care system. From day one, the Management, Nurses and Carers at Grosvenor House have been wonderful in looking after mom, ensuring that she receives the best quality care. All of the staff are welcoming to all visitors and have displayed kindness and compassion in dealing with mom's advanced dementia and she has settled in well. In my profession, I have visited many care homes, and I have to say, Grosvenor House is one of the best that I have seen. This has been a very difficult time for all our family and we have only managed to come to terms with mom's situation, because of the wonderful environment where she now lives.

I could not have asked for better care for my nan. She has been treated wonderfully as have we her relatives. The staff are amazing very compassionate and respectful. It feels like one big family. The home itself is incredible. Everyone that visits comments on how beautiful it is. Very clean smells lovely and beautiful grounds. Nans room was everything we wished for before walking through the door. Nan herself has said she couldn't have asked for better.

We looked at several nursing homes before visiting this home and as soon as we entered the home we knew it was the right one. We were greeted by the deputy manager, who was friendly and very informative. We were so happy when she said that they had a space. My father only spent 2 weeks in the home before he died but everyone was so kind to him in that time. The staff were always happy and friendly and he was treated with respect. He was in during December when there were so many activities going on that the residents seemed to really enjoy. The residents were all happy and friendly and relatives all spoke highly of the care that they had observed. During the last day of his life, the level of care provided to both my father and my family was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel really supported. My dad died peacefully in very calm surroundings and my family and I will forever be grateful.

Obviously, when people become resident at a nursing home it is not always their choice and they have often lost their homes. It is a major transition but with the level of care and understanding of the staff we feel as a family, including mum, that we made the right choice in choosing Grosvenor House.

My dad lived at Grosvenor House for six years. It was a lucky day for us when we were introduced to the place. We liked it immediately and know it was the right place for dad. The staff are the best and dad developed a great relationship with everyone. Dad was very poorly on arrival but was looked after so well he flourished in their care.

I recommend their care and service without reservation.
