My mother was very happy in the care home.
She was well cared for and treated with dignity and respect.
The carers were kind and compassionate and took an interest in her.

She particularly enjoyed the activities which were ongoing and the outings.

Some carers are better than others of course. Often no one comes when you ring the bell, just walk past. The variety of food is poor, quality ok. Some carers put tablets down and leave them, some put them in my wife's mouth. She can put them in herself. Not enough things to do - when having trips out, come and ask me, please. Clothes etc keep going missing.

Some staff are very friendly and helpful, a couple especially so. Not happy that people don't seem to help to commode at night. My wife likes to garden and would appreciate the chance to do more. Overall reasonably happy.

I am quite happy here but things have changed somewhat since I came. New systems are good! The staff are all caring and considerate but they do not have the time to do all they are expected to do. This counts all staff, house, kitchen, and caring staff. I feel safe which is the main thing.

This home is just amazing! All of the staff go above and beyond! The cleanliness, the care, the facilities are all just amazing! Having your loved one in a home is difficult enough but being in this home makes it that much easier as we know how much they are loved. Right from our very first meeting with the manager, everything was about the care of, and how care would be provided to, my father. Clearly the quality of the structure of the home and facilities were important but it was reassuring to hear for the first time on our rounds of homes the emphasis on how my father would be cared for given his considerable needs. The staff have all been fantastic, the same familiar faces there the whole 11 months my father was there. The food was excellent as evidenced by my father's healthy appetite. Just one observation, it would be nice to have an extra person with time to chat or read, play a game with those who are bedbound.

Our mum stayed at Aylesham Court for 2 weeks respite care. I think it is fair to say that she really did not want to go but we cannot thank the team enough for the experience she had. The quality was excellent, she settled well and most importantly, felt safe. We expected her to spend all of the time in her room but she got involved in the activities and used the lounge/dining room. Thank you so much as it allowed me to take a much-needed break.

My mum has been at the home for nearly 3 years and we have had no problems only when the lift was out of action for 10 weeks and my mum couldn't go outside to sit in the sun as she was on the first floor.

All the staff are very caring and helpful which has been a great help to us. We know we can go on holiday without having to worry about Mum's care and attention. I have put poor down for activities because we are still waiting for someone to be employed.

Visited my mum who is currently having respite at this home, can I just say the staff are so welcoming and supportive.
My mum who has dementia was struggling with anxiety and fear before she came here, but seeing her today has put my mind at rest tremendously she loves the staff and seems really settled, which I am very happy about.

I would choose this home as a permanent residence should Mum need more help than we could give her, knowing that she would be looked after by Aylesham Court and surrounded by good people 24/7.

The staff team at Aylesham Court are excellent without exception.
In need of palliative care, our sister has been empowered to lead her own care and social activities which the team have moderated each day, according to how she feels. They have ensured she remained engaged and feeling fulfilled.
We have been struck by the team’s excellent communication and by how responsive everyone is to the smallest change.
The team have treated our sister, and us, with respect, making every effort to welcome us and to get to know us as individuals.
Our sister has received a personalised service which meets her needs and has been beautifully tailored to enable her to be her best self each day, allowing her vibrant personality to continue to shine.

We feel so fortunate that our sister was able to be cared for at Aylesham Court and privileged to have met a truly outstanding team.

The care at Aylesham Court is outstanding. We really couldn’t ask for any more. The staff are very proactive, professional and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
In a very short time, they understood my sister's needs and catered for them as required.
The home is clean, my sister's room is comfortable and the food very appealing.
All the staff, without exception, are outstanding.
As a family, we couldn’t be happier.

Thank you Aylesham Court.

My father has been in the home for almost 12 months and the care and treatment he has received has been second to none. He had fallen ill in December 2023 and the staff called an ambulance and stayed with him, reassuring him along the way until he was taken to hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away last week but was really looking forward to 'getting back home' to watch the TV and see his nurses. Four members of staff in particular and the team have been amazing. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make the last months of his life comfortable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the compassion this team give on a day-to-day basis. Highly recommended if you have concerns about placing your parents or grandparents - nothing to worry about at Aylesham Court.

The team have been absolutely amazing, so accommodating and made my mum, along with all of her many family and friends, feel so welcome. It really is a home away from home. I found this place by chance whilst my uncle was in another very poor nursing home in the city. Management from the very start were fabulous, they instantly gave help, guidance, care and showed compassion. The outside on approach was great, the entrance was spotless no horrid smells, it has a key code to enter [or bell] and great parking. Reception was fabulous along with the pet cat. The rooms set on two floors are great, most with fab views via stairs or lift. Facilities are unbelievable, bar, (yes!), Visitors can come and go as they please at any hour of the day or night. Refreshments are free for visitors, you can even get fed if you are nice. I won't even begin to elaborate on the staff. Suffice to say with hand on heart, not a single staff member let our family down, not once. A nurse is there full-time. Everyone should be very proud of themselves each and every one, at every job level an utter credit to this home. This place deserves `outstanding` Thank you so much.
