Magna Care Home

My husband is well cared for and always clean and looked after. The Christmas party was well organised and the entertainer was excellent.

Friday 13th December was the residents' Christmas party which was very well organised by the activity coordinator. The church service was good and the Christmas buffet was a lovely spread. The afternoon entertainment was really good. It was great to see so many faces on the day. The activity coordinator also decorated the home beautifully for Christmas.

I think Magna is a lovely home for my dad. He is very happy and settled. The staff are friendly and kind to Dad. The Christmas party last week was excellent, well organised and the entertainment was good. There were lots of visitors also enjoying the party. Well done to the staff who worked hard to make it special for the residents and their families and friends.

Very happy with the care provided here. My dad is well looked after and treated with respect and dignity. Attended a very well organised Christmas party which everyone really enjoyed. It was perfect for residents and their families to enjoy together. A lot of effort was put into making it so successful and getting all the residents in the Christmas spirit.

During the last twelve months, I have settled well in my surroundings here at Magna care home. I am always well cared for with the utmost support. If any small problems do occur, we deal with them together.

As with everybody else, the thoughts of your loved one entering care is full of trepidation. Gladly, these thoughts were put aside when we came to Magna Court. From that first day - 11th November 2016 until now - 10th December 2019, I have nothing but thanks to all of the staff from management all the way through, for kindness and care, excellent food, cleanliness etc

Lovely staff, made visitors feel very welcome and part of the 'family'. My friend was very comfortable here. A lot of effort goes into the events for the residents. The staff were very good with accommodating/adjusting my friend's likes and dislikes concerning food and activities.

My uncle had been in two previous care homes but was more settled here than he was in the others. The staff were more caring and welcoming. They also kept me informed at every opportunity. Extremely caring when he passed away both to him and his family.

I do feel that the number of carers could be increased as some residents require 2 carers to assist which leaves the lounge short at times. Most residents need help to go to the toilet and to be moved.

We have always found the staff very helpful and keep us well informed regarding any change my uncles health or change of medication. My only concern is both myself and his friend find him unshaven, very untidy and dirty clothing when visiting.

We moved dad here in the beginning of the summer after a stay in a different care home where he didn't settle at all. Instantly, dad moved here and was made very welcome and treated like one of the family. He started eating better and like the food and staff. We are all made to feel welcome and is like one big family. Dad often enjoys activities organised by the team and genuinely enjoys being here. I feel very happy leaving dad here when I leave. Staff are excellent. Thank you.

The home itself is clean and tidy and the garden is well laid out.

As a family, we are happy to have Dad here, where we know he is looked after and cared for. Staff are excellent. We feel they go above and beyond for us. All staff make us feel comfortable when visiting and are ready to support our worries and concerns. Love joining in special events too.

The home is always welcoming. Staff friendly and willing to help. My Dad likes it here. They have regular entertainment - singers coming in and fetes. Food is excellent with a choice offered.

The care and support are excellent to both my father and the family. The care staff work extremely hard and my father seems well looked after.

This appears to be a well run, clean and very caring facility and all staff are friendly and professional. The small touches and thoughtfulness of those who are caring for my mother is obvious and much appreciated.

Everybody is very helpful if any problems it is always dealt with there. Activities are always on and join in and I have been out on trips to Costa I really enjoyed the entertainment days.

When I visit my friend I find the staff very friendly. Always willing to talk to you. Home is very clean and no nasty smells. I usually visit in an afternoon and always get offered a cup of tea and a cake.

I have found the staff are very pleasant and helpful. If you need to know anything they will do their best to answer any question. The only thing I find wrong is the odour on the first floor. Sometimes you cannot get on your car park because it is occupied by the keep fit club across the road. Also, there are no blue badge bays as I can see.

All the staff had gone to a lot of trouble with their costumes and decoration of the room.
