Welcome to the warm atmosphere of Newton House where a friendly welcome for all helps to promote a true feeling of a 'home from home'. They aim to improve the quality of life for each and every resident by providing care in a safe and comfortable environment.

A dedicated and experienced team is passionate about providing first-class 24-hour nursing care and residential care, alongside expert care for people with dementia in the Memory Lane Community. They also offer respite care for short breaks.

Located in Grantham, Newton House is a single storey purpose-built home with extensive garden areas planted with seasonal plants, fruit and vegetables. Centrally situated for friends and relatives to visit, at any time of the day, and they believe you will find they're ideally suited to meet your needs - both now and in the future.

A team of highly-qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of all residents with a tailored care plan for each person. This dedication can be seen in all aspects of life within the home - in cooking, hospitality and the social activity and events programme which is designed to meet the needs and particular interests of all those who live at Newton House.

Whenever I visit I am impressed by the friendly staff. They go the extra mile for the residents. The care home is always clean and tidy - and the food is excellent. I cannot fault the organisation at all.

My dad has been at Newton House for 15 months. The staff are second to none and the activities are amazing, always doing activities he may never have attempted before in his life. The interaction with the exotic animals this week and the trip out to the horses, which he used to ride as a young man has
been very therapeutic for him and the other residents. Giving him a good quality of life at 89 years old. The food is always of good quality and all the staff are very helpful with the communication with the family too.

Overall I’m happy with everything and my husband is very happy there. I can’t fault anything, although sometimes the food is a bit hit-and-miss but generally happy with everything. The activities team is first-class and excellent.

My sister was taken ill at the beginning of January 2023 and was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer and put onto palliative care only for end of life. As she was no longer capable of looking after herself at home and needed nursing care, we found her a place in Newton House. Ever since she was admitted
the care has been superb. She has a lovely bright airy room, and the staff are lovely. The nursing staff notify me if there are any problems or issues. Because of the blockages in her digestive system, and her lack of appetite, she eats very little but is regularly kept supplied with milkshakes and anything the staff can try to tempt her. She needs assistance with personal care, and she is extremely happy with all her carers who are friendly and helpful. If any medical issue arises, it is dealt with promptly and a doctor is called if it is thought necessary by the nurses on site.
We are extremely happy with the home and would highly recommend it.

We had a review of my father in laws best interests for his health and well-being in general. All of the staff are so welcoming at Newton House Care Home. We get the best advice with regard to Dementia as it is such a difficult illness to understand. We always go away feeling my father-in-law is in

Such a comfort knowing my mum is here. The staff are incredible! So warm, welcoming yet professional. With Dementia it's so important that they are accepted where they are mentally in that moment. This is where the home excels. They have taken mum and allowed her to flourish in what she loves to do
and her daily routines. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is vegetarian and she has wonderful meals prepared for her. Just so pleased we were able to find such a lovely home for her.

My mum has been at Newton House Care Home, for over three years now. This is not a respite place for her as she is in her 90s and her condition is progressive. Mum is bed bound and this means that she is totally reliant on the staff for her everyday needs and her physical and emotional well-being.
Being bed bound isn't ideal for a short period of an illness but permanently is totally demoralising. When asked what could be done, the manager was able to source a sling and special wheelchair that accommodated mums fragile state. Mum is now able to access the community, occasionally, when she is well enough. If mum isn't able to get out of her room the activity ladies come to her. All the staff chat with her when they are in the room so I know mum isn't left alone for long periods. I can honestly say that there is no other home that I would want mum to stay in. The staff are totally committed to the resident's holistic care. I cannot recommend the home and staff enough.

Watergate unit had the pleasure of my mum who was fast-tracked for fifteen days when she sadly passed away. I couldn't have wished for better care, and compassion that my mum and also my family received. The team went above and beyond...yes, I can't name them but they're all a credit to your company.

I’ve been enjoying my time here at Newton House, the carers look after me very well. I like the food and don’t have any complaints. I feel comfortable and I like my room that I’m staying in. I feel well provided for and can ask for things I need. The staff are always friendly to me.

The carers and staff are very kind to me. I’m happy here and I feel lucky to have this as my home. Meals are nice and they offer me a choice every day for what I can have. There’s always things to do, and I have been on some lovely trips out. My son knows that I’m well looked after which makes him happy.

I’m ever so happy here, everything about it is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble, I can’t fault a thing. The care staff are marvellous and I’m always getting involved in the activities. I love getting my hair done at the on-site hair salon.

My mother's stay at Newton House for palliative care turned out to be a short one, but I can't thank the manager and care staff enough for bending over backwards to get Mum transferred from the hospital for her last days and for the welcome and care she received. It made a huge difference to Mum and

I visit my godmother at least once a week, and I feel she has settled well. I'm really happy with how she is adjusting to life at Newton House Care Home. She enjoys the activities, and I feel she is being stimulated daily.

The care for my mum was first class. Even in her final days, she was bathed, cleaned, changed and always monitored. Staff were always around for support. Lovely, warm room. Good food.

The manager and staff on Watergate in Newton House were extremely helpful and caring when my mum recently stayed there. Even though she was in there for only 10-days before passing away, the staff were very attentive. I found everybody easy to talk with, and they were all polite.

I have worked for the healthcare sector for many years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the home. I like to build strong working relations with the team and stakeholders involved.


Quality of care that all my residents receive is my passion and I aim to ensure that all the residents in my care receive the best and most person centred care possible.

Sam Holt

Job Title: Head of Community Joined: 2017

Sam has been a member of the Newton House family for seven years and has worked in care for thirty years. She describes working on Memory Lane and wishing to better the lives of those touched by dementia as her calling.


She loves spending time with and getting to know our residents, she enjoys being a part of such a friendly and supportive team of colleagues.


In her spare time, Sam loves to Crochet, she has four children and plans on adding a puppy to her family in the near future.

Tina has been a part of the Newton for nearly 30 years and takes an immense sense of pride in her role.


She loves being a part of the team in the home and helping our residents.


In her spare time she enjoys being a local cubs and scouts leader .

Starting as a newly qualified nurse and then becoming head of community on Castlegate before beginning her new role as Deputy Manager.


She speaks highly of the feeling of being part of a larger family in the home, embracing her colleagues, residents and family members.


Charlotte's passion lies in Memory Lane and wanting to enrich the lives of those touched by dementia.


Away from Newton House, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family including her three daughters, and two dogs, going for walks and enjoying reading and cooking.

Margaret Campbell

Margaret has been a member of the Newton House family since 2009 and in that time she has been a much-cherished nurse and the Head of Community on Brownlow.


Margaret loves being a part of the Memory Lane Community and making a real difference in our residents' lives, whilst supporting their families and loved ones. She finds her role at Newton House to be incredibly rewarding.


In her spare time, Margaret enjoys yoga, and going for walks, in particular at Belton House where she is a member of the National Trust. Margaret loves to spend time with her family and her grown-up children.

My name is Hazel has been a proud part of the Newton House family since May 2024. I have been a qualified nurse for over 10 years. I am extremely passionate in delivering exceptional palliative end of life care and love been part of the Newton House Family.


In my spare time, I enjoy factual reading and spending time with her family.
