We had a review of my father in laws best interests for his health and well-being in general. All of the staff are so welcoming at Newton House Care Home. We get the best advice with regard to Dementia as it is such a difficult illness to understand. We always go away feeling my father-in-law is in the best place for his way forward.

My mum has been at Newton House Care Home, for over three years now. This is not a respite place for her as she is in her 90s and her condition is progressive. Mum is bed bound and this means that she is totally reliant on the staff for her everyday needs and her physical and emotional well-being.

Being bed bound isn't ideal for a short period of an illness but permanently is totally demoralising. When asked what could be done, the manager was able to source a sling and special wheelchair that accommodated mums fragile state. Mum is now able to access the community, occasionally, when she is well enough. If mum isn't able to get out of her room the activity ladies come to her. All the staff chat with her when they are in the room so I know mum isn't left alone for long periods. I can honestly say that there is no other home that I would want mum to stay in. The staff are totally committed to the resident's holistic care. I cannot recommend the home and staff enough.

Watergate unit had the pleasure of my mum who was fast-tracked for fifteen days when she sadly passed away. I couldn't have wished for better care, and compassion that my mum and also my family received. The team went above and beyond...yes, I can't name them but they're all a credit to your company.

I would definitely recommend Newton House Care Home. I'm willing to talk to anyone regarding my experience.

The carers and staff are very kind to me. I’m happy here and I feel lucky to have this as my home. Meals are nice and they offer me a choice every day for what I can have. There’s always things to do, and I have been on some lovely trips out. My son knows that I’m well looked after which makes him happy.

My mother's stay at Newton House for palliative care turned out to be a short one, but I can't thank the manager and care staff enough for bending over backwards to get Mum transferred from the hospital for her last days and for the welcome and care she received. It made a huge difference to Mum and her family. Experienced and kind.

The manager and staff on Watergate in Newton House were extremely helpful and caring when my mum recently stayed there. Even though she was in there for only 10-days before passing away, the staff were very attentive. I found everybody easy to talk with, and they were all polite.

My mother has been a resident of Newton House for quite a while now and has settled in very well and I feel she is very happy with all the activities and friends she has made - she has dementia but I feel she gets the best care here for all her needs - all the staff are very friendly and have time to chat and give the residents all they need - I definitely would recommend Newton House.

I have been living here for 3 months on respite. I find all the staff which includes the cleaners and chefs, as well as the carers and nurses very respectful, very helpful and nothing, is too much trouble for any of them. I would certainly recommend this care home to my family and friends.

My families experience of Newton House has been overall a very positive one. Whilst there have been some settling in issues and learning how the home works I am happy to say that interaction with both the caring teams and the administration team have always been positive and engaging and any issues quickly dealt with. All the staff that I have come into contact with have been helpful and willing to be involved with residents and their families which in turn helps to create a good atmosphere within the home.

Mum moved into Newton House in September 2021. Really didn't want her to go into a home, but she's so happy and contented there.

She loves the staff, so kind and caring with her. She doesn't want to go home now, she's decided to make it her new home.d I can't praise the staff enough, so kind, caring and treat her with dignity.

In 2020 my husband had a massive brain bleed which left him with vascular dementia. Finding a care home near to me was not a difficult choice. I had heard great things about Newton House and the staff from friends. This year on his birthday, he has now been a resident for over 12 months, the staff decorated the family room with balloons and garlands and brought us a delicious cake with candles for him to blow out. They allowed our little dogs to join in the party. The staff went out of their way to make my husbands birthday special. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff. You are amazing.
