We are very satisfied with the way this home is run.
Thank you for completing the review and I am pleased to hear that your brother is happy at Plane Tree Court. Kind Regards.
Mum has both Parkinson's and dementia and is unable to walk. Every day, staff wash, dress and encourage Mum to be taken to the activities room to join other residents for a chat, simple games, quizzes and the like, and whilst the activities themselves seem somewhat simplistic, in Mum's case, they seem to be doing both her dementia and general well-being a world of good. Indeed, she has made quite a few friends and she never seems to be without a cup of tea! Staff are numerous and friendly, attentive and treat everyone with respect and dignity and every week, a hairdresser does Mum's hair. All in all, Mum is happy and well cared for and that is all one can ask.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, your feedback is very vital to the team and I will share it with the wider team. Happy to hear that you are having a positive experience with us. Thank you for your support. Kind regards, Jiji.
Perhaps a little less plush but still with comfortable rooms and more importantly, qualified 24/7 nursing staff, the more affordable Plane Tree Court offered and provided all the care and attention that my mother needed and continued to need for the remainder of her time.
The doctors from the linked medical practice made regular visits and were always on call and until the very end on January 13th 2024, at 102 years, my mother received the very best of loving care and attention. A last and unexpected tribute was shown when all the staff escorted the visiting funeral hearse and waved my mother a tearful farewell on her final journey.
Plane Tree Court and all the care team-brilliant! What more can I say?
First of all, let me express our condolences to you and your family. Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Plane Tree Court. It was our privilege to care for your mum. I will share it with the wider team. Kind Regards.
Our mum arrived at Plane Tree in October from a placement for assessment. She was mentally and physically in a very bad place. The first weeks were very hard as Mum was not responding well. After weeks of the most patient care, our mum has turned a corner. She is responsive, peaceful and treated with respect and kindness. We could not ask for more as we just wanted her to get to this stage, and Plane Tree and the amazing team have achieved this.
I will share this with our staff.
Kind Regard.
My husband is staying on the residential floor at the moment, and the staff could not be more helpful. They are always available to answer any queries and to give support.
Kind Regards.
Our experience is very satisfactory because everyone in the home is very friendly and approachable. No matter what is asked of them, they do their best to help; they can't do enough for my husband. Very attentive, which puts my worries and fears to rest. Whether it is Halloween or Christmas or whichever else we celebrate, they decorate and make sure everyone is made to feel part of the celebrations.
Your valuable feedback is veery import to us, and I will share it with the staff.
Kind Regards.
Fantastic care home and lovely staff, thanks for looking after my old friend until she passed yesterday, you are all angels, and everything about this care home is wonderful. Thank you so much to everyone.
Kind Regards
Jiji
An advantage was also that I lived so close and was able to visit every afternoon without any restrictions. So I was able to see the excellent care she received in all areas.
My wife did visit the home some years ago when it had a different name and ownership. Her comment was if I ever need a care home do not put me in there. How it has all changed. There was always laughter from the staff which to me meant they were happy there.
On the day of the funeral, we were asked to drive through the grounds. The staff were all lined up by the door and then walked in front of the hearse and all lined up on the pavement and clapped as we drove by. Very touching even as I think about it.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and we do appreciate it very much. It was our pleasure to look after your wife, and thank you for all your support to care for your wife.
Kind regards.
Plane Tree Court looked after my Grandad before he sadly passed away. The staff went above and beyond for my grandad to make sure he was comfortable in his final days. Can’t thank the staff enough for all they did for my grandad and my family, the staff made everything that little bit easier for us. My nana was very wary of putting my grandad into a home however seeing how well he was looked after put everything at ease for her. I would definitely recommend it.
Plane Tree Court cared for my mother in the last three weeks of her life. She had terminal cancer. The staff treated her with kindness, dignity and respect at all times. The level of nursing care was exceptional. I will never forget how the staff went the extra mile for my mum, me, my partner and my dad. Every time we visited they explained things clearly to us. Staff often fed my mum and, one member of staff in particular deserves a special mention for outstanding care. Thank you so much for all you did for Mum.
Staff pulled out the stops to get Mum in the nursing home for palliative care, staying late on a Friday night to settle her in. Plane Tree Court was so much calmer than in hospital. All the staff were very attentive looking after not only Mum but Dad and myself, providing comfort and support, many a cuppa and also lunches that Dad thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were always available to speak to, listen to us, provide a comforting shoulder and guide us through a difficult time. The nursing staff were very professional and we knew we could trust them to make Mum as comfortable as they could.
Kind Regards.
My mother came and stayed at Plane Tree Court for respite for a week. When I went to pick her up, she cried about leaving! Had a really lovely time, the staff and facilities are excellent. Couldn't fault the care my mum received. Nothing is too much trouble or effort. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Kind Regards.
When it was decided by my mum and the doctors that going home wasn’t a viable option due to her requirements of twenty-four-hour care, the thought of a nursing home filled me with dread. My only experiences of nursing homes had been the media representation which filled me with dread. Having looked around a couple of other homes, some being high-class hotel-style residences, but nothing felt like the right fit. My daughters and I were on our way to another care home when we received a call from a member of staff at Plane Tree having received the information about my mum and inviting us for a visit to have a look around. He was very empathetic and understanding of the difficulty of the situation on the phone and once we arrived, he greeted us warmly and we felt immediately at ease. He was upfront and honest about the running of the home, what to expect and any changes they were in the process of which could affect her stay. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and had a big smile on their face.
Thank you for taking time to complete a review.
Kind Regards.
We were unable to visit her for the first seven days due to family bereavement and commitments. Not once did we feel she was alone though. We were being assured she was well looked after.
A week later we got to see her, although there were no shocks as we were being kept up to date, we were shocked. Her improvement was immense, she was being well looked after. Mum continue to get better, so much so that in December she reached her 100th birthday and a party was held. Sadly mum past in February, being surrounded by lovely people. We can not thank Plane Tree enough for their care and attention. A big thanks to the staff.
Staff are smiling ad obviously committed. A good and sound atmosphere is reflected in the patient's care. From our point of view (family), the home is care of the first order (wonderful).
Kind Regards.
Very happy with the care and support given to my son and our family for which we will always be extremely grateful. My son is happy here and that is all that matters to me as we couldn't possibly care for him as you do. All staff interact with him and us. It is nice to know he is not alone when we aren't there.
Thank you for taking the time to do the reviews. Your feed back is very important for us. Kind Regards.
I want to express my heartfelt thanks, for all the care provided at Plane Tree Court for my Dad since October 2021. I have felt at every stage of my contact with the staff at Plane Tree Court, that they have their residents' and family members' interests at heart. I am so pleased that a charity and the Hospital helped find a nursing home for Dad, which met all his needs. On my first contact, my son and I were warmly greeted, even in the middle of a rainstorm and with Covid precautions at their height. The gardens and flowers around the house always look beautiful and give a great first impression and it has been a pleasure getting to know everyone. My Dad was treated with love and respect and as a family, we will be forever grateful. I always felt confident that the staff at Plane Tree Court do 'the right thing' in a medical crisis and communicate well. Thank you so much for making a difficult time in my dad's life and mine, so much easier to cope with, than it might have been.
My father is a resident at Plane Tree Court. He first went there as an emergency respite placement when his wife went into hospital and could no longer look after him. He has now been at Plane Tree for over 6 months and I cannot praise it enough. My father has developed a condition which means he needs 24-hour 121 care. All his carers are absolutely lovely and all genuinely care for his welfare. All the staff there, carers, managers and support staff are amazingly friendly and see every resident as an individual. I am always impressed by how well they know and understand him. My father's condition means he often can't take part in the activities program but the carers always make sure he gets a walk around (even if inside in bad weather) so he doesn't get bored. This place really feels like a family and is a truly supportive environment both for residents and their families.
Residents here all seem happy, including my mum. It puts my mind at rest knowing all this. I can honestly say I wouldn't want my mum to be in any other care home, no matter how grand. Care and trust are the most important things.
Thank you very much for your feedback, feedback is very important for us, and I will share this with the wider team.
Kind Regards
Jiji
Outstanding care, dedication and love towards residents. Both my mum and dad are now residents at Plane Tree Court. I could not ask for more. The staff at every level are totally committed to providing the best possible experience for my parents. I am genuinely in awe of the staff. They have a very challenging job and they are always attentive, and happy giving my parents the dignity, nurture, care and support they need. I am lucky to have found such a place for my parents.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your feedback, and I will share it with the wider team. Every token of appreciation boosts our staff morale and enables them to do better and better every day.
Kind Regards
Jiji
