The staff are polite everytime we come, always offering drinks always working hard with the residents who are well looked after by all staff and always let you know if there is a problem.
Thank you very much for your review, it is appreciated by those families who are searching for care, as well as the team at the home. Kind regards
There is one member of staff who consistently goes above and beyond. She not only interacts with my dad in a manner which makes my dad relaxed and happy but she also engages with family offering personal support when they are struggling. She is the usual chef but also performs caring shifts. She always provides help + support whatever hat she is wearing. An absolute gem of a member of staff.
Thank you for your review and kind comments. The team work so hard to ensure that all are safe, happy and well. It is so pleasing to hear that your father has formed a special bond with a 'gem of a member of staff'. Kind regards
Staff are lovely and really helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My brother is really settled and happy here.
Thank you for your kind comments and ratings, it is appreciated. Kind regards
My husband has recently gone into Abney Low with Parkinson's. I have not found fault with the home/accommodation and he has settled in very quickly. Staff are wonderful and I'd like to recommend the home very highly.

Thank you for your 5* review and for your kind comments regarding the staff, they will love to know their efforts are appreciated. Kind regards
The staff at Abney Low are exceptionally kind, helpful and professional. Recently, he was in a very bad way, which meant three of us stayed all day and overnight - we were looked after with such kindness. The staff also keep us informed at all times of how his care is happening.
Thank you very much for your ratings and your heartfelt comments regarding Abney Low. We appreciate both and it is so good to know that the care provided to you all was worthy of such remarks. Kind regards
My dad has recently moved in and has settled in really well. The staff are lovely and he is really responding well to them. We unfortunately had an episode where he was really poorly and the staff treated him so well. Their response with the medical teams went above and beyond, their support to both dad and the family was exceptional. We will be forever grateful to them for treating us so well. I would not hesitate in recommending Abney Low to anyone.

My nan has been here for 2 years, she has dementia and is not good with change, all the staff helped her settle in so quickly without any problems. The care they give is outstanding treating her with love and care always. We often find a member of staff just sitting with her giving her some company. The staff are laughing and joking and keep everyone upbeat. Fantastic home, couldn't ask for more.

My mum has been under the care of the nurses and staff since she's been here. All the staff have been amazing in making Mum feel comfortable with their friendly, caring attitude. The nurses are brilliant keeping me up to date with Mum's medical conditions and always ring with the latest development regarding Mum's health. I can confirm that all the staff that have been in contact with Mum have given her the highest level of care and love.

My husband has been a resident since February 2023, his first few months were quite difficult both for him and me. I feel like the last few months he has settled better with the help of good staff and management. If I need to seek help and advice about anything everyone is very helpful.

I visited my nan at The Anchorage for the first time last month. It was wonderful seeing her looking so happy and being so well cared for at the home. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is wonderful to hear how happy and well-cared for your nan is. I will share your lovely comments with the team.
My father moved into The Anchorage in January 2022. The room he has is spacious and light. It needs to be decorated and a ramp is required so he can go out into the outside space. He feels safe and secure and is well looked after. Although the constant change in staff is a concern, he is well looked after and quite often chooses to stay in his room. Overall, I would say The Anchorage and its staff are very good.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, we welcome all comments. It is lovely to hear how well looked after and cared for your father is within the home. As you know, the We Care Group recently took ownership of The Anchorage Care Home and we are working to make improvements, as...
I have always found the staff extremely friendly and caring towards my mum. Whenever I visit my mum, she always has a happy demeanour and is well dressed. I can see that she has settled in the home and is "happy" being there. This brings me great comfort and I am very grateful for all of the hard work of the staff to provide a safe and pleasant environment for my mum in her twilight years.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. It is lovely to hear how pleased you are with the care and support your mum receives and how happy she is when you visit. I will share your comments with the team.
A warm welcome by staff and very friendly. My father has a ground-floor room which has patio doors looking out onto a small courtyard which my father likes. He seems contented and finds the staff very caring. The house is an old building which needs updating.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. The home is now under new ownership and we are looking a making significant improvements within the home for the benefit of all the residents. It is lovely to hear how happy your father is and how caring the staff are.
