Built in 1857, Manor House is a listed building that has recently (Feb 23) been modernised and refurbished to a high standard across a number of units. The home has retained many of its original features, including an oak-panelled entrance hall and decorative ceilings. Many of the large bedrooms have views over the extensive grounds and have ensuite facilities.

Staff at The Manor House deliver high-quality care in a respectful and professional manner. The home provides a full range of care for older people including nursing, residential and dementia care for short or long term needs.

Residents can enjoy a seasonal daily menu which has been made using fresh ingredients. Annual special occasions are celebrated with themed meals throughout the year and residents are served a slice of homemade birthday cake on their special day.

Residents are encouraged to carry on with their favourite pastimes and hobbies and organised activities include keep fit, art, knitting and sewing.

The Manor House Care Home was the home of my aunt for nine years. During that time, the staff have gone out of their way to be kind and caring to her. They got to know her likes and dislikes, her idiosyncrasies. They treated her with love and respect at all times. I have absolutely no hesitation in

Care is excellent, Dad is very happy here, the level of nursing has been amazing and Dad enjoys being here. A few more male activities would be good and something maybe to look at but overall as a family we are extremely happy with everything.

I cannot praise the staff at The Manor enough. They have handled the last two years with humour, kindness and incredible professionalism. They have looked after my mother to the highest standards with genuine affection and empathy. The accommodation is spotless and the standard of catering is superb.
The manager and staff have navigated the difficult times we have been through and continued to put residents' safety and comfort first.

Apart from a period of lockdown, I have visited my wife for the past four months. The Manor has become a home to me. The staff and management in all departments, have always treated me with respect and friendliness. The lockdowns have been an ordeal for my wife who feels rightly, blameless. A couple
of observations I would like to make are that a few carers are less discreet when speaking about a resident's physical needs rather loudly. Also a little more assistance at mealtimes for those who are confined to bed.

My dad came to reside in The Manor House Care Home aged 98 after living independently in his own home until he passed away at the age of 100. He made many new friends at The Manor and gained a new lease of life, with caring, engaging carers who took a 100% interest in him and made his last few years
so happy. Their engagement with us, Dad's family, made them part of our family too and we can't thank them enough for everything they did.

My mum went to The Manor House for three weeks of respite care while my wife and I were on holiday. All contact I had with staff beforehand and after was very good, and every member I met had a smile and a pleasant greeting. During my mums stay, my brother and my two sons visited, and all were very

I have nothing but high praise for the carers, nurses, management, and all who work at The Manor House, they do a truly amazing job at the best of times but has been made very difficult these last 16 months. And now that we can at least get in for room visits it is nice to be able to interact with everyone
again and to see what a great job they are doing.

The Manor House is a well-run care home with a motivated and caring staff. A new arrival is made very welcome and put at ease. the patient is then subject to careful monitoring and is encouraged to participate in their own treatment. The response of nursing staff to a patient's needs is both prompt
and cheerful. The accommodation is both bright and clean, while the meals are varied and nourishing. The setting of the home, within lovely grounds, is a great asset but more, perhaps, could be made of them. Most patients will benefit from a stay at The Manor House.

Everything about the Care Home is lovely - rooms and facilities are a good standard and the setting is beautiful. Staff are attentive and caring and the atmosphere is always calm and controlled. Food is really good - freshly made and of a really good standard. I honestly feel blessed that Dad has ended

My mother, who recently died aged 96, finally accepted that at 93 she needed full care and support. My sister and I visited a number of Care Homes in Wirral (where I live) to judge the standards available. After visiting The Manor House Care Home in Upton, we decided that this was the gold standard
and compared all of the others with it. None came close. The accommodation, the staff, the services provided and the general ambience, are exceptional. Although it is not cheap (not the most expensive either) the care provided is wonderful, the staff cannot do enough for the residents and their visiting families and they genuinely care about their residents. My mother was very happy at the Manor right up until her final illness and the palliative care they provided was exactly what she wanted. I thoroughly recommend the Manor Care Home in Upton Wirral to everyone who wants the best late in life care for their loved ones. Thank you to all the staff.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this home is. My Dad was so happy and content here until he passed away. The staff are so lovely, without exception. They took the time to get to know my dad and treated him with the utmost care and respect, always putting his needs first. Their help and support

Since her fall and coming to the home, the staff have been brilliant and helped her and us at every opportunity. Staff have endeavoured to help her through not seeing family during the pandemic and kept us informed, and helped us to pass deliveries onto my mother-in-law. That's amazing considering the

I joined The Manor House in May 2021 after taking a break from work to raise my family. Prior to working here, I have worked in events and ran my own business.


This is my first role in the care sector and certainly my most rewarding one! I love forming relationships with our residents. It's wonderful encouraging them to try new things, and working within the community.


I live locally with my partner, son, and cat. I enjoy reading, nature and spending time with my family.
