It was an extremely difficult decision to make once we had realised that Mum needed extra care and was struggling to remain independent. We took time to look around the Cheshire area and had no doubts that Cranford Grange was the wisest decision. It is a beautiful building with lovely shared spaces.
However, more importantly was the level of care and trust we've had from the staff. Mum is treated like a Queen! She has been able to decorate her room to suit her style, and a very spacious bathroom and wardrobe area. Her daily needs are met and she is treated like a friend. The staff are understanding and happy to meet her needs but also her desire to remain as independent as possible. It is spotlessly clean and always has a buzz. I have never seen people stuck in circles staring at each other, but usually enjoying a sherry before lunch, having a gossip with each other and the staff. Cranford can't possibly replace home but it is as close as we feel we could get without too much comprise.

My mother moved into Cranford Grange at the end of September with relatively complex care needs. Throughout the whole process of assessment, through the move and settling in, the whole team have been exemplary. The quality of care and the attention of the staff have been superb; the whole team have

My mother moved into Cranford Grange in September this year following a stroke, which meant she could no longer live independently. It was a big step for her, but I knew from the minute I went to visit that this was the best place for Mum. Cranford Grange is very well managed, and the staff are universally
delightful. Nothing is too much effort, and they really do go the extra mile for every resident trying to make their experience the best, even when it means more effort or work for the staff. I have been very impressed on all fronts - from the quality and spaciousness of the accommodation and options available to the food that is made from scratch every day to the delightful staff who knew every resident and their needs. Full-time care is expensive, but we have found Cranford Grange to offer very good value for money. It is very reassuring knowing that Mum is surrounded by a team who are extremely thoughtful, exceptionally caring and truly dedicated.

My grandma was a resident many years ago, and my dad recently moved in after a short stay in the hospital, having said that if he ever needed care, that would be the place that he would like to be. We knew that the building, grounds, restaurant, bistro, lounge and activities were excellent, but as he
was previously very independent and active; we wondered how he would settle. We needn't have worried as the way that he has been welcomed by staff has been amazing, not only in terms of medical care but in the kindness and thoughtfulness towards my dad and us as a family. The building is like a quality hotel, but the main attraction is the staff, who are all extraordinary people.

This residential establishment is perfect and outstanding in every way, very much like a five star hotel. It is a beautiful home; clean and well led and supported by caring and knowledgeable staff.
The respite care my mum received at Cranford Grange was excellent. I have nothing but admiration for
the care staff and for the way my mum was looked after. Mum said 'I felt safe there and everyone was very kind and helped me'. There is a full programme of activities everyday and great thought goes into organising events. There is always something going on. The food at Cranford is inventive, fresh and varied. Mum enjoyed the food very much.
If you’re a carer reading this, you will probably understand how emotional and traumatic arranging your loved ones first stay within a care setting is. The staff at Cranford Grange took the time to allay my fears and patiently answered the many questions I had. Thank you everyone at Cranford.

My father recently completed 4 weeks of respite care in Cranford Grange after suffering a heart attack. Cranford Grange has been outstanding in every respect and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone engaged in the sometimes soul-destroying search for somewhere caring, stimulating and trustworthy
to look after an elderly relative.
Every member of staff without exception has been friendly, caring and competent, taking time to get to know my dad and his needs and interests. Such care was taken to place him at a table for meals with other residents with whom he had something in common.
The home itself is beautiful with lovely grounds to sit out in and walk around on a sunny day. There are plentiful activities available and a lovely dining room with a wide range of menu options. The 'bistro' area is a wonderful social area and more in keeping with a hotel than a care home. My dad enjoyed meeting friends and family there for coffee on several occasions.

What a beautiful home in a stunning location. An excellent team of staff led by the manager who is an experienced nurse. It is certainly a wonderful place, with exceptional care, good food and a dazzling array of leisure and activities available. My mother is involved in everything she can be and wishes
that she had moved in sooner.
I cannot recommend this care home highly enough. Out of 20 Care homes which we had visited, this one was by far the best and continues to look after my mother to her high standards.

My parents were together in a lovely room/apartment for nearly 5 years with dedicated, wonderful staff caring for them.
However, my advice is to be careful to get assurances that the home can deal with all aspects of your relative’s care now and in the future before choosing this care home. Both my
parents were asked to leave due to some members of staff/residents being upset by my relatively immobile 93-year-old father’s dementia-related behaviours. They regarded this as challenging behaviour which they were not equipped to deal with. As a consequence of being asked to leave, my parents aren’t sleeping in the same room now for the first time in 68 years. The new care home staff have not seen any behaviour they regard as challenging from my father.
No face-to-face meeting was arranged by Cranford Grange, not even a phone call, to communicate the fact that termination notices were to be served.
So, some wonderful staff and lovely surroundings, but choose carefully.

My mother spent the last three and a half years of her life in the care of Cranford Grange care home in Mobberley.
From the first day she arrived and until the last day of her life the staff treated her with care, respect and love. As her Alzheimer's progressed the team gave her all the extra support
she needed to maintain her dignity in the final years. The home has excellent facilities and gardens. The food is also first class.
In her final days, the support for both my mother and myself was outstanding. The experience and professionalism that the staff showed allowed a dignified and peaceful passing. For the support the staff gave me, I shall be forever grateful.


If your loved one is in need of care then I can highly recommend Cranford Grange.

The staff that are looking after my Aunt are fantastic, they keep me updated on any changes in her care due to health issues that are ongoing and what they are doing to help her.
If there’s something on the menu she doesn’t want/like they happily make a meal that she does like to eat.
I’m so glad
that we choose Cranford Grange as her home, as the staff are extended members of the family for my Aunt.

My mother has been a resident of Cranford Grange since last May. The quality of the residential environment is excellent. The communal areas and the resident rooms are of a high standard and comfortable. The dining room, bistro and activity rooms provide extensive communal space. There is an impressive
range of daily social activities and events and residents are encouraged to participate. The gardens surrounding the home are lovely and Mum has really enjoyed her walks on the grounds.
The staff are caring, attentive and friendly. My brother and I are grateful for the kindness shown to mum and for the care provided to ensure that she settled in well and has been happy at Cranford Grange. The staff have taken time to get to know mum and always treat her with respect and warmth.
The team has been proactive in suggesting improvements to support mum's independent living and communications with relatives are excellent.
We are thankful to the staff for all their compassion and friendship.

The first thing that strikes you when you walk into Cranford Grange is the caring, happy and friendly atmosphere displayed by the staff.
The entrance and communal living spaces are light and airy and feel more like a hotel environment than a care home. Also what impressed me is that the staff appear
to enjoy working there and take pride in their work. This for me is a very important consideration as discontentment within the environment would have a negative impact on the residents.
The staff hopefully try to match like-minded people together to make the residents feel as though they belong, something which I hope they continue to do. They also have a great activities team offering daily activities for the residents.
In comparison to other care homes, Cranford Grange stands out and would thoroughly recommend checking it out as a possibility for your loved one.
Another bonus is the fact you are welcome to visit at any time.

My mother was looking forward to her Christmas respite visit to Cranford Grange having been there before to recover from a severe fall. Cranford did not disappoint.
The staff were friendly, accommodating and always helpful.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the residents are allowed to do their own
thing.
At the end of the stay, my mother my was looking very well nourished and had clearly benefitted from the significant increase in interaction with other residents and staff.
Well done Cranford Grange!

My father did not want to leave his own house but increasing mobility problems made living on his own impossible. Cranford Grange has been the solution. The purpose-built care home is a spacious, well-appointed space but it is the quality of the staff that make me and my brothers thankful that we chose
it as a place for our dad to continue his life. It's always people who make the difference so the kindness, care and trouble took by staff: housekeepers, cleaners, kitchen staff, nurses and the carers themselves is wonderful. The home is a relaxed, cheerful place and my dad especially enjoys the daily quiz.

Visiting Cranford Grange was a breath of fresh air from the initial enquiry and prompt reply nothing seemed too much trouble. My dad had been in hospital and lost a lot of independence/mobility and Cranford was the first home that had not been phased by this. My first meeting and viewing was very thorough,
so much so that I reserved a room the same day. The process for admission was respectful, efficient and reassuring. The nurse assessed dad in hospital with kindness and patience. His move into Cranford was well organised. He has been there just over 4 weeks and I cannot fault the staff and level of care. Cranford Grange is well-staffed meaning they have time to chat with people and welcome family and friends with excellent communication. There are a lot of activities each week which are well organised. The food is freshly prepared and cooked from scratch with a choice each mealtime. I leave him each visit with confidence knowing he is safe and settled and with a smile on his face.

Mum was in need of respite care after breaking her arm in a fall at home in January 2021, at the height of the second wave of Covid 19. Cranford Grange (Sunrise of Mobberley as it was then) was one of very few care homes that were offering respite care at the time and Mum arrived there in early February.
On the second day she announced that she felt safe there and would like to stay on permanently! From that moment she has been happy and contented and extremely well cared-for. The home is beautiful but more importantly, is staffed by lovely, kind people at all levels, who all have time not only for Mum but for her family and friends too. Since being there, in spite of her dementia Mum has regained her sense of humour that had slipped away after the isolation of lockdowns. She loves the social interaction and the many opportunities for fun and laughter. We couldn't be happier that she is now settled at Cranford Grange.

My mother moved into Cranage Grange several months ago. It was a difficult time for the family and for her, as she embarked on a new phase of her life, but the staff could not have been more caring and thoughtful. Her room was beautifully furnished and welcoming and the staff have been very helpful
in terms of sorting out any issues to ensure that settled in and felt at home as quickly as possible. One of the things we particularly like about the home is that it feels more like a very nice hotel rather than a care home. There is a lively atmosphere throughout and there are a range of daily activities for residents to take part in if they want to. We take comfort in knowing that my mother is safe and well cared for.

Twelve months ago our family was faced with that terrible decision, our mother's dementia and physical frailty had become impossible to manage at home. Thankfully we found Cranford Grange Care Home. The home has a lovely rural setting and as you walk through the doors you immediately feel at ease. The
staff are hard-working and professional but more importantly are compassionate and friendly. They make our mother smile and if she is happy the family are happy, knowing that we made the right decision twelve months ago.

My mother moved in, in October. The transition was seamless and all staff were very welcoming. We particularly appreciated the gifts for my mother which were a lovely touch. The staff have continued to be patient with my mum who has significant memory problems and have also given me plenty of support.
The rooms are beautiful, the menu appetising and there are plenty of activities to get involved in.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve worked in the care sector all my career, beginning at the tender age of 15 when I did work experience in a residential home.


I then became a care assistant and worked my way up. The rest is history!


Before Cranford Grange, I had the pleasure of being Home Manager at Oakfield Croft, where I shaped everything from the team to the home’s values and standards of care with the fantastic team there. I am looking forward to what I can bring to Cranford Grange and to continuing to fulfil our residents' lives.


We’re focused on delivering the highest care standards in stunning surroundings at our care home in Mobberley. I look forward to seeing you at Cranford Grange soon!
