My husband and I were made very welcome and well looked after.
The residents we met were friendly and the staff were lovely and extremely caring and helpful.
I would recommend this Sunrise to anyone and hope to return here one day myself.

Our mother lived at Sunrise for around 18 months. She could not have had better care. The facilities are wonderful, the staff are warm and caring and Sunrise made sure her final days were pain-free, dignified and untroubled. We live abroad and when we phoned - daily towards the end, there was always
someone there to give us a briefing on her state. She loved being there - the facilities were first class - and the staff were more caring than I could have imagined. It could not be less like the sort of place many people have in mind when they talk of a "home". Sunrise was more than a home from home and we shall always remember the care and kindness of everyone there.

My mother has spent the last two years of her life at Sunrise of Mobberley and I have visited her at least once a week. Each time I have found her to be clean and well cared for. The nurses and carers have been very supportive of me and my mother. Mum said many times that everyone was very kind to her
and when I had some funding issues with the Council and the CCG, the management at Sunrise were very supportive. I consider myself to be quite fortunate in having been able to get mum a place at Sunrise of Mobberly.

The general manager and the entire team at Sunrise Mobberley have looked after my father superbly. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for expert care for their elderly parents. Nothing has been too much trouble and the price for a private suite worked out cheaper than other homes
around the Alderley Edge area. Food, laundry and entertainment are first class and we couldn't be happier.

My parents moved into Sunrise in the Autumn of 2018 when the task of caring for my ill father became too much for my 90-year-old mother. My mother was adamant that this would be for a limited period and she would move back into the family home. Sadly my father passed away before Christmas. The care
for them both during his illness and the kindness on his passing were exemplary. Most importantly for me, the friendliness of the staff, combined with the atmosphere of the facility (more like a hotel than a care home) has persuaded my mother to stay on, where she can get the support she needs. She is extremely happy with her new situation and finding a new lease of life in the supportive environment.

My parents-in-law moved into Reminiscence in July 2018. The staff have been very supportive, caring and professional in all they have done. They have also been very patient when needed and have tried to make the transition into residential care as easy as possible. My father-in-law has been very unwell
and sadly has now recently passed away. During the time he became increasingly unwell, the care staff regularly kept my husband and me informed of his condition and on an ongoing basis, we are also informed when a GP has made any changes.
The couple suite my mother-in-law stays in is of a very high standard having recently been refurbished. There is plenty of room and it has been very tastefully decorated and the furnishings are also of a high standard.
The food and drinks provided are varied and of good quality as well as individual needs being provided for.


In my opinion, Sunrise is one of the best Care homes I have had experience of. I would certainly recommend it to others.

My mother joined Sunrise on a respite care basis following a small stroke and a diagnosis of vascular dementia. We later extended this to a stay of 3 months. This gave us time to properly assess her long-term needs leading to the decision to move her to a warden controlled retirement flat. At all times,
she was treated with care and respect by the staff. It was, also, reassuring that our decision for her to live a little more independently was greeted with support and encouragement.
Sunrise definitely met our needs at what could have been a very difficult time.
We had looked around a few residential homes before choosing Sunrise and found that it stood out in terms of cleanliness and the quality of surroundings. It has allowed my mother to regain her confidence in a safe and caring environment and has surpassed our expectations.

My husband and I visited some friends on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August 2018. We were told by our friend on the Thursday, that though the carers are kind and efficient, sometimes messages get forgotten. Her main concern was that the transport system was so unreliable. Some excursions had been
cancelled.
Sure enough, on the Friday my friend had been asked to be ready at the door for 9am for transport to the health centre. It did not arrive until 9:45am. She had only just returned when we arrived at 10.30am.
Maybe it was unusual but the disabled toilet I was directed to in the hall had a faeces stained floor and dirty pan but hopefully, it was cleaned quickly. I did report it.

My Mother had a recent respite stay at Sunrise Mobberley which was a resounding success. Her room was clean and welcoming. The staff greeted her by name and did their best to make her feel welcome even though she was not a permanent resident. Being an older person my Mother is not as tolerant as she
could be but even she found very little to complain about although you cannot please everyone all of the time and it is still a care Home. The activities were varied and interesting and although my Mother didn’t take part in many as she is not a “joiner” she enjoyed reading the calendar. She particularly enjoyed her walks in the lovely gardens.

My 97 year old friend urgently needed respite care due to deteriorating health that made her no longer safe to live in her own home and I approached Sunrise out of desperation. They were very helpful and moved as quickly as they could to accommodate my friend's needs. Sunrise took all the last minute
changes in their stride and remained flexible, professional and friendly although I am sure we tested their patience to the limit.


Despite my friend not wanting to be a resident and desperate to return home, her care has been extremely dignified and respectful and her room, facilities, food, and activities have been fantastic and, despite herself, she has enjoyed her time in their care although she'd never admit it!


She is now well enough to return home after a months respite care at Sunrise and I can't thank them enough for everything they did for my friend.

The professional and friendly support provided to both father and family during the rehabilitation process has been excellent. Unfortunately our elderly father was rather ill in hospital and had to be transferred to have access to nursing care; this resulted in him being rather upset on discharge;
however the way the staff quickly made friends with him and encouraging him to engage in various activities has ensured Dad is now more relaxed and enjoying his new surroundings.

My mother had a short respite care stay at Sunrise, Mobberley in June.


This is a lovely home and where the residents appear genuinely very happy and friendly.


The staff were extremely helpful and worked hard to involve my mother in the activities and provide her with the support she needed. The

staff were always very respectful and were always available to answer any questions I had.


The home was maintained to a high standard and food provided was of an excellent quality.


I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My mother has been at Sunrise for 2.5 years. It was a very difficult decision moving her into a care home and choosing the right one. As a family we are in no doubt we made the right decision choosing Sunrise.
Mum also called it home very soon after moving in, which was a good sign. The rooms and
facilities are of a really good standard and we were able to decorate her room to her taste.
Whilst mums health has deteriorated quite considerably, Sunrise have been able to cater for all her changing needs. In the early years of being a resident she was kept stimulated with trips out, art and crafts and exercise classes along with other activities Now she is no longer mobile, struggling with her dementia and other health issues, the staff always ensure that she is gets involved wherever she is able to and her care plans and nursing needs adapted accordingly. The staff are all very professional and welcoming, the food is to a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunrise.

It was a great comfort for all the family for my parents to become residents of Sunrise of Mobberley which they thoroughly enjoy. The whole process was coordinated with care and consideration by the staff who could not have been more helpful.
My parents are very settled and happy which is a great
comfort. The family, including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, dogs and even cats are welcome visitors.

My husband was in Sunrise of Mobberley for 4 weeks. He had a lovely room with large windows. His own bathroom was kept very clean. He was in respite care to give me a rest, it was a very friendly place, staff couldn't do enough for patients and relatives could visit any time of the day and stay for
meals with the person. I can't praise the care home and staff enough, it certainly gave me peace of mind to leave my husband in their care. Brilliant place.

My father who has dementia was admitted to Sunrise of Mobberley. Very upsetting for my father and my sister and I. The management were very reassuring, kind and spent a lot of time with us all at this difficult time. While my father was in there, all the staff went above and beyond expectations to make
my dad feel welcome and safe. I couldn't have wanted any better care for him. Also, they supported my mother who needed emotional support at this time.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 108 registered maximum number of service users is 21.6, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve worked in the care sector all my career, beginning at the tender age of 15 when I did work experience in a residential home.


I then became a care assistant and worked my way up. The rest is history!


Before Cranford Grange, I had the pleasure of being Home Manager at Oakfield Croft, where I shaped everything from the team to the home’s values and standards of care with the fantastic team there. I am looking forward to what I can bring to Cranford Grange and to continuing to fulfil our residents' lives.


We’re focused on delivering the highest care standards in stunning surroundings at our care home in Mobberley. I look forward to seeing you at Cranford Grange soon!
