I came to a meeting about changes and improvements to communal areas of the home. The manager explained things thoroughly and clearly, including health and safety procedures which will be in place during the work. I have visited many homes and I am continuously impressed by the staff and the quality of care given to my brother, and also to the standard of decoration and communal facilities in the home. Far better than most.
Thank you for your kind words. I am so pleased that you found the meeting helpful and informative. The improvements to the ground floor are in progress. It will make a huge difference and we are hoping it is not too disruptive.
Thank you to all the staff
I'm very sorry for your loss. Thank you for your kind comments, I will pass these onto the manager and staff.
Although my mum's stay in Moorgate Lodge unfortunately lasted less than 3 weeks, the care and compassion afforded to her by all the members of staff was wonderful. The care manager operates an open-door policy, which we found reassuring. From day 1, she ensured mum's wishes were adhered to. All she required was to be kept 'clean, comfortable and quiet, and she was. The members of staff were always on hand with offers of tea and coffee, and even the occasional hug when required! Thank you all
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Moorgate Lodge. Our staff and Home Manager will really appreciate your kind words and to know that they are making a positive difference.
On the whole, most staff are really great. Helpful understanding. Manager is very helpful no matter what the problem you have
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Moorgate Lodge. We appreciate your feedback.
My partner has been here since November 2025, he's really happy in here. Overall, I'm so grateful to all staff on his floor. I can go home after a visit and be really satisfied he is looked after properly. He's gained weight, which is a good thing. There is nothing negative I can say about this care home.
Thank you for writing a review for Moorgate Lodge. It's good to hear that your partner has settled well and the staff will appreciate your comments.
My mother-in-law Pauline has been in Moorgate for 17 months. All the staff at the home are so friendly and caring, especially Zara on reception who is the first face you see. Lisa who does activities is brilliant, they always have time to have a quick chat and update us on Pauline and what she has been doing. Would recommend Moorgate to anyone.
Thank you for writing such a positive review for Moorgate Lodge. I will pass your comments on the manager and the staff. Its lovely to hear that your Mother in law has settled so well.
Mum has now been in Moorgate for 7 months. She has never been as well both physically and mentally. She has been encouraged to participate in many activities and has really enjoyed joining in. The care has been amazing, and activities are really varied as there is always stimulation. She has a good appetite and enjoys most of the food. The friendship, love and care she has been shown is amazing. As a close family, we are really happy to see that she's looked after as we would as a family. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for the service. The staff will be really pleased to hear they are doing such a good job and that your Mum has settled in at the home.
We can't thank the staff enough here for the care they give my mum. We are so grateful for everything everyone does. The entertainment ladies are amazing and often get my mum up dancing. Everyone works so hard. The activities and entertainment are brilliant and make the place fun. I would love to live here when I am unable to care for myself.
Thank you for for your positive review. I am so pleased that your mum has settled so well at Moorgate Lodge. I will pass on your kind words to the staff at the home.
Excellent work in caring for my wife.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for the home. We really do value all feedback.
The care my friend received at Moorgate Lodge was exceptional. You provided her with a safe space where she could spend her last few weeks in peace surrounded by staff who genuinely cared about her. The carers, nurses, managers, in fact everyone, went above and beyond to look after my friend. I shall be eternally grateful to them all for showing my dearest friend love and compassion at the end of her life.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review at such a difficult time. I will pass on your kind words to the Home Manager and all the staff.
Please do not place your loved ones in this Nursing Home.
This home is dangerous in my opinion. I found the nursing staff do not listen to the relatives of loved ones even when you are trying to advise them that your loved one may be ill. Management are obstructive and medical interventions are practically non existent.I found the nursing home to smell on the landings of body odour. Not surprising really with the extreme temperatures in this place. No fans or air conditioning even in the extreme temperatures. It's ridiculous, even the staff are nearly collapsing due to the heat.
Stimulus is non existent too for the residents. Absolutely nothing to do in this place for the residents. All you see the poor residents do is sit or lay in their rooms. This place is literally soleless.
I would not trust management in this place. It appears all about money not patient centred care. Please avoid at all costs.
At Park Lane Healthcare we do value all feedback and always provide a response and opportunity to meet to discuss when required. This opinion does not reflect the kind and professional care we know is provided by the dedicated team at Moorgate Lodge, as illustrated by all the other reviews shared...
My mother in Law was looked after extremely well for her end of life care. The staff were professional and very caring. Other relatives we met included nurses who again praised the home and its staff very highly. The food there is also worth a mention. It is made by a chef and is delicious.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. I will pass on your comments to the manager and staff team who will appreciate this.
My mum has only been here a week but already we feel part of the family. Staff are so nice and helpful and the home is lovely and clean and homely.
Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review for the home.
My mum was at this nursing home for the last 3 months of her life. It was a difficult decision and stressful choosing the right home. We chose Moorgate Lodge and never regretted it. The care and love and professionalism was second to none. They not only looked after mum, they looked after us too. An awful time in our lives was made better thanks to these lovely staff and friends. Thank you- my love to all.
Thank for your kind words at such a difficult time. I know the manager and the staff will really appreciate this.
A first class care home. The manager and staff are very caring and professional. They made my mum feel cared for and safe in a very nice environment. Thank you for much for everything you did for my mum and family.

The manager, deputy manager, nursing and care staff have all been wonderful.
They care for mums needs so well, always cheerful professional and caring and they always have time to talk to us.
I feel that this care home goes above and beyond in everything offered. The environment is bright and welcoming, the bedrooms are lovely. We are looking forward to the activities being planned for VE day! Well done Moorgate Lodge and thank you for getting it right.

The whole team were fantastic ensuring ensuring mums room suited her individual needs, and her care was second to none. Evaluated on a daily basis to ensure she got the best out of her remaining time. We were treat like family by everyone and kept fully upto date. Mums passing was very peaceful, she was painfree and calm. An amazing Home / Team. Special thanks to the manager and the team.

My father was made so comfortable in his last few weeks staff friendly and very caring.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review.
My mum moved into Moorgate Lodge in January from hospital following a fall at home. From our first initial meeting/visit to the home, we were made to feel very welcome and felt that Moorgate Lodge was the place that would meet our mum's physical, social and emotional needs. The home manager was very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I knew her aim was for her staff to deliver person-centred, evidence-based care to my mum. Which they did and more. Mum received a high standard of care from all members of staff. I stayed with Mum during her last night and I witnessed a high standard of care delivered to Mum with empathy and compassion. The home is tranquil but also has many activities to choose from, well furnished and very clean. Thank you to everyone at Moorgate Lodge.
