My mother stayed here many times for respite. The staff were always friendly, supportive and compassionate. The facilities and rooms compare well with a 4-star hotel. When life was becoming increasingly difficult due to Mum's dementia, the manager helped and advised me and provided extra respite care when I needed it. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, it was not possible to have Mum stay here permanently, but again the staff helped me and when I found a permanent home for mum, they even sent a card to her and called me to ask how she was.
Thank you so much for your lovely words regarding Cottingley Hall Care Home. We are so pleased to hear we helped you through such a difficult time. We will ensure to pass on your thanks to the home manager. Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care.
My husband has been in Cottingley Hall since October 2011 and I have been very happy with the care that he has received. He is now totally reliant on the carers for all his needs. The staff are all so patient with him. I know he could not have better care anywhere else.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your husband in our care. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
My mother lives at Cottingley Care Home. The staff are always kind, caring and do their utmost for residents and families. Even in these very difficult times, they remain calm, always cheerful and friendly. They willingly help us by allowing video calls; which gives huge reassurance to us and also to Mum, despite this obviously taking their time. Thank goodness for them - we as a family are so grateful to them all. We hope they are all well-protected and stay safe.
We are very delighted to hear that you are satisfied with the quality of our care. Thank you for such kind comments.
They were tremendously caring and certainly made things as pleasant as possible for him in the short time he was there.
Thank you for trusting us with your uncle's care. We really appreciate the kind words.
She is ready for the change. I don't think I am yet, but I will be one day.
No faults to find with the place, but it is fairly expensive.
It can be really difficult trusting someone else with a loved one's care, we are very glad to hear you could do that with us. Hope to see you again soon.
Cottingley Hall is like a hotel with excellent service and a friendly welcoming place. Pleasant staff and Dad is cared for really well. He gets lots of attention from the staff. The staff ask Dad about his past interests so they can have conversations with him. The staff are helpful and always approachable. Dad would not have survived long at home but he is thriving within his own limits. My mother was in the home for over three years. We thought the home was the best, Cottingley outstrips all around. My only concern is that we pay a lot for the care - does this reflect on staff wages as you cannot do without them. Thank you to all the staff and I hope you all feel appreciated. Thank you.
We are very happy to hear that your father is enjoying himself in our care. Thank you for such lovely feedback.
A nurse came out with a wheelchair, I got in it and that is how I entered Cottingley Hall. It was to be my home for the next few weeks to enable me to recover my strength and mobility. During that time I experienced nothing but kindness, respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, 'good mornings' came with a smile. My thoughts regarding my medication, and how my bed should be made are listened to and acted upon as appropriate. conversation with all staff was easy and always interesting. Many asked how I, residing in Lancashire, had come to Cottingley Hall. It was simply that one of my sons had visited a number of care homes and decided that Cottingley Hall would be ideal for me. I am so glad they did.
Thank you for your praise. We are delighted to hear you feel like a part of our Cottingley Hall family and that you are happy with the quality of care provided by us.
The purpose of our stay was for me to have a rest. Because of the position of the room (2nd floor, furthest from the lift) when I pressed the help button at night, it took a long time for the carer to arrive so I had to help my husband with the commode. Breakfast was a bit of a problem, do I order or wait to be asked? Lunches (taken in the dining room) were fine, also evening meals (in the room). A couple of times we had to wait for my husband's pills. The Hall is a lovely place with lovely gardens. A couple of disappointments - no night light and newspapers only arrived on 3 of 5 days.
Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
The tune never stops.
At no point did I witness a careworker who had a phone not playing it.
The home is understaffed. A wait of 15 minutes on a call was typical and one was over 30 minutes. Careworkers would assure my Grandad they would get him something and would not be seen again.
It's not their fault - the standard of care, when there, was good. There are simply not enough of them for the needs of the residents.
Thank you for your feedback. Our resident’s health and well being is an absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
Simply the best. Nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your kind words.
I have always found the home very caring. I feel my mum is treated as one of the family. I have never had any concerns about the way she is cared for.

After a week in hospital I went to Cottingly Hall for respite care. Initially, I booked in for 3 weeks but because I was so happy there I stayed for 7 weeks. I have nothing but praise for the care I received. I was impressed by how hard all the staff worked as a team for the comfort and well being of the residents. I became part of one big happy family, living in a beautiful home. Since I was there 11 years ago I noticed a big improvement in the activities. There is so much variety now which can only be good for the residents. I have to mention how good the meals were. They are a credit to the kitchen staff - tasty and nutritious food.

My father has settled in the home better than I anticipated. He seems happy with all the staff and the care he is given. He has formed some good relationships with staff and a few of the residents. If he has had any issues they have been resolved quickly and to his general satisfaction. He participates in most of the daily activities and enjoys keep fit and winning the quizes!

Cottingley Hall came highly recommended to us by friends whose relations had been in residence. We were not disappointed. It has a real atmosphere of family and belonging. The team at the home genuinely care for the residents and invest personal time and emotion in their well-being. This was hugely important for my brother and I who live at the other end of the country and needed assurances that our mum, who was terminally ill, was in safe hands in our absence. The management and nursing staff went the extra mile to ensure that we were kept informed of developments, day and night and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I would recommend this home to anyone who wanted peace of mind for their relatives who are in need of care.

I could not have asked for more kindness, love and respect from the staff for my mum. She was very happy with the care she received.
I do take some comfort in knowing that my mum's last few months of her life were at Cottingley, and not at any other care home.
Thank you.

I and my family have found and continue to find, the staff and care provided by Cottingly Hall first rate. Our dad died here two years ago, he was treated with kindness and dignity, as were we. Our mum has been resident here ever since. The staff not only look after her and us well but genuinely care about her. They also have, and use their common sense.
Thank you for sharing this and I am pleased that you have been well supported by our brilliant care staff.
A very pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings with relaxed and friendly company.

I have enjoyed it. The ladies and young men here have been nice. The food is good. I can't grumble about anything. I have my main meal in the restaurant which I like.
Thank you for your review and kind words. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.

I’m a Registered Home Manager and have worked in care since 2016. I previously worked as a Clinical Deputy Manager, which gave me a strong foundation in leadership, compliance, and delivering high-quality care. With a clinical background as a nurse, I’ve naturally progressed within the care home sector, building experience across resident care, safeguarding, and medication management. This journey has shaped my passion for leading teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
What I enjoy most about working in care is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives every day. Supporting residents to live with dignity and comfort is incredibly rewarding, and I value the strong relationships built with residents, families, and colleagues.
Outside of work, I’m very family-oriented and have two young daughters, which has strengthened my empathy and patience. I enjoy spending time outdoors, focusing on well-being, and continuing my personal and professional development.
I’m a Senior Care Assistant and have worked in care for 32 years, joining Bupa in 2017. I’ve held several roles within the home, including housekeeping and activities, and completed my Level 3 apprenticeship with Bupa.
I enjoy mentoring staff and supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting high standards of care. I live locally with my husband and children, and in my spare time I enjoy socialising, playing snooker and darts, and spending time with family and friends.

I enjoy communicating with residents and delivering high-quality care. I live in Keighley with my husband and three children.
I’ve worked in care for 33 years. Earlier in my career, I supported new team members as a Senior Care Assistant, helping them settle into their roles. I originally worked with children before moving into care, where I found my passion for supporting others.
What I love most about my role is helping residents feel happy and cared for. Outside of work, I enjoy walking and spending time with my family - I have eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. I also live just 10 minutes away from home, which makes me very much part of the local community.
I’ve worked at Cottingley Hall for three years, spending two years as a Care Assistant after starting as a hostess. I was introduced to the role through a family friend and quickly developed a strong interest in working in care.
I really enjoy talking to residents, hearing their life stories, and supporting them day to day - especially seeing them smile.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. I was born in Poland and moved to the UK when I was four.
I’ve worked in care for six years and spent a year working as a hostess, alongside supporting in a chef role.
Before moving into care, I worked in a school and then as a stay-at-home mum, which inspired me to become a caregiver. I find working in care very rewarding.
I live locally and enjoy hiking and camping in my spare time. I also have four children whom I love spending time with.
I’m the Head of Activities at Cottingley Hall and have been in this role for three years, with seven years at Bupa in total. I’ve also worked as a Care Assistant, Housekeeper, and Kitchen Assistant/Hostess.
Before moving into care, I worked with children. I love hearing residents’ stories and helping to fulfil their wishes. I live locally and enjoy reading in my spare time.
I’m the Chef Manager at Cottingley Hall and have been in this role for over two years. Before joining Bupa, I worked as a Catering Manager for Bradford Council schools for 10 years.
I enjoy creating enjoyable meals for both residents and staff. I’m a mum to three grown-up sons and love gardening, cooking, decorating, reading, and spending time with my three cats.
I’m the Second Chef at Cottingley Hall and have been here for a year. I’m a self-taught chef with a particular passion for baking. I love seeing residents enjoy the meals I prepare.
At home, I have three children, one of whom is at university, and I recently got married. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, walking the dog, and playing snooker.
I’ve worked at Cottingley Hall for 14 years and currently support the home as a Maintenance Operative. During my time here, I’ve also worked as a Care Assistant and in housekeeping, as well as supporting different departments.
I enjoy helping people and solving problems, and I get a real sense of satisfaction from supporting both residents and staff.
I live locally and like to unwind by watching films in my spare time.
I’ve been with Bupa for 13 years and have worked as a Laundry Supervisor for the past five years. Before this, I’ve held a variety of roles including Care Assistant, Kitchen Assistant and Activities Assistant.
My journey started on nights, where I also achieved my NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. I enjoy making sure residents feel safe, comfortable and happy.
I live in Keighley and enjoy going to the gym.
