My name is Julie Parker I am the home manager at Lindley Grange Care Home.
I started my career here in 2016 as a care assistant, and this led me to seek knowledge and advance my learning to pursue a career in care which I truly love.
I have worked here at Lindley Grange for 11 years. I started in 2009 as a care assistant, and in 2016 I was offered the opportunity to become the activities coordinator - I jumped at the chance as I love the interaction with the residents. Lindley Grange is my second family and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.
I was nominated and won Bupa’s Every Day Hero award in 2017 which was a fantastic achievement.
I have worked at Lindley Grange since 2016. I began my career as a care assistant, and in 2018 I was offered the opportunity to be a Hostess - I progressed my role further to become a nutrition and hydration adviser. I am now Unit Manager however responsibilities from my previous roles are still important. I work very closely with outside agencies such as SALT and the dietitian to make sure that our residents have the best possible care. I love my role and everyone at Lindley Grange as they are a family to me.
I have worked at Lindley Grange for 20 years. I started my career as a care assistant in 1995.
I love working at Lindley Grange as I always deliver person-centred care. I have personal experience with dementia so I understand the importance of good family communication.
