A year ago, I would have awarded 4 stars, but since a change of ownership and leadership of the home, it seems that there has also been a change of philosophy of care, and my impression is that there is no longer the same motivation to try and manage people with cognitive impairment and complex needs. Despite having lived there for 2 and a half years, and despite any change in the difficulties that they present, my relative has been given notice of termination of contract; further, I was informed that they will be amongst a number who will be "moved on" in the near future. Before opting for a placement at Westfield park, it is worth considering whether complex needs may emerge during the course of the condition, and examining whether the management team will be committed to continuing to care for your loved one should this occur.

Dad decided he wanted to go into respite while I was away in Australia and after they had cared for my mum with dementia previously. He knew a few members of staff from the past and he was well looked after during his stay of 4 weeks. The staff were great and he enjoyed the company of other residents as he lives alone. The facilities are the best in the area, warm, clean and well maintained. He enjoyed the food and getting involved in the regular activities that the staff put in. He has even picked a room for when/if he decides to become a permanent resident. Thankyou to all the staff in the Haven for making his stay so enjoyable at Xmas/new year
This is the third or fourth time we have used Westfield Park for respite for my mum. What I like is that many of the staff remember mum by name when she returns. The rooms are clean and homely and the staff contact if there are any problems. I'm happy leaving mum here for respite.

Westfield Park is an excellent care home and I am very pleased that my wife is being well looked after there. All staff members are polite, very efficient and get on with what I consider to be a very stressful job, nothing bothers them. Long may it continue.

The Management Team are very approachable and the manager appears to have an open door policy.
It gives me great peace of mind knowing that Mum is happy, well cared for and safe. I am very grateful for everything they do for Mum and would highly recommend this Care Home.

The standard of care is exceptional, and the atmosphere throughout the home is warm, welcoming, and reassuring. What truly sets Westfield Park apart, though, is the people. The manager goes above and beyond in every possible way. Her dedication, compassion, and attention to detail are evident in everything she does. She takes the time to know residents and families personally, and nothing is ever too much trouble. It's incredibly comforting to know that someone so caring and capable is at the helm.
The Manager is supported by a fantastic team of staff, all of whom are kind, patient, and consistently professional. Every member of the team shows genuine warmth and commitment, and it's clear they truly care about the wellbeing and happiness of the residents. Whether it's day-to-day
Overall good, but I've seen a high staff turnover since you gained ownship of the home. One ex-member of staff asked what the minium wage was, before leaving. Hopefully you won't be putting profits before care.

The care is second to none and all of the staff have a can do disposition and are focused on giving the residents the best possible experience. The food is fantastic too. My Mum settled in straight away and made many new friends, nothing has been too much trouble for the staff to make her happy. She loved them all. Mum always enjoyed the food, and they make it available that you can join them for a meal should you wish. Westfield is warm, clean and homely, they have lots of activities and entertainment going on all the time which family are encouraged to join in.

When my dad & I made the difficult decision to move my mum (who has dementia & cancer) into care, we were filled with fear, uncertainty & guilt. We were so anxious about whether she would receive the attention, compassion, & care she deserves. From the moment we stepped through the doors of WP & onto the Birch unit those fears began to ease. The staff welcomed us (& more importantly, mum) with open arms & warm hearts. They took the time to truly understand her needs, preferences & history, treating her as the unique individual she is rather than just a resident. The level of care & professionalism is outstanding. Every member of the team at WP goes above & beyond not only to ensure her health & safety but also to provide emotional comfort & companionship. They are patient, kind & clearly passionate about what they do. We've watched mum settle in, smile more, & even regain a bit of her spark (something we hadn't seen in quite some time). We're so very grateful to all at WP.

I booked for one week's respite care - a little holiday. I have enjoyed a change of company and getting to know many of the residents. The staff have been very kind and helpful. There is a good atmosphere, blending freedom with safety rules. I have booked to stay another week later in the year.

Westfield Park has been and continues to be an excellent choice for my mother who has dementia. The facilities and services are great, and most importantly all the staff who look after my mum do so with kindness, friendliness and compassion. I very much appreciate the proactive approach adopted by the care team and I know I can absolutely trust Westfield Park to look after my mum at this stage in her life. The food and drinks provided by the home are excellent and thoughtful in presentation (eg milkshakes and ice cream to increase fluid intake). The laundry service is efficient, and Westfield Park is clean and well organised. My mother's physical disabilities means it is often difficult for her to participate in social events, but the care team do encourage and involve her where possible. Thank you all round to everyone at Westfield Park.

My first experience of respite. I found the staff were excellent but always rushed off their feet. I lost a fair amount of weight in 9 days due to the poor food, some of which was cold when it arrived. Some food was inedible. My room wasn't ready when I arrived, a mattress came later that day, as did a TV. The key to the lockable drawer was the wrong key and no replacement could be found. In conclusion, this has put me off future care home stays. I was also given the wrong meds one day which is inexcusable.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear that your first respite stay did not meet your expectations, we sincerely apologise for the issues you encountered. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear that your first respite stay did not meet your expectations, we sincerely apologise for the issues you encountered. While we're pleased to hear your kind words about our hardworking staff, we deeply regret that they appeared rushed and that the quality of food, room readiness, and medication administration fell short of the standards we strive to uphold. These matters are extremely important, and your feedback has been taken very seriously. Please be assured that we have made efforts to contact you directly to discuss your feedback. Your experience does not reflect the level of care we aim to provide. We understand that this has impacted your confidence in future care home stays, and we are truly sorry for that. If you're willing, we would still very much like the opportunity to speak with you personally to express our apologies and better understand how we can make things right.
Very well presented care home was just as advertised, if not better. The level of care and knowledge is outstanding, large rooms, plenty of space & light. The staff have gone above and beyond to get Mum settled in and feeling cared for. As a family, we can't thank you enough. Well done.

I have worked at Care UK for several years, and I have always appreciated the company’s vision and values.
Their desire to help residents continue living fulfilling lives aligns with my own values.
I joined Westfield Park after several years as Home Manager at Dashwood Manor. I am looking forward to being a part of the already great team at Westfield Park and continuing to offer exceptional care together.
Being in a managerial role within the home requires very good listening and communication skills. You also need passion and care for the residents and the team you work with.
Each day I enjoy getting out of my office and onto the units, having the opportunity to interact with residents, relatives and colleagues.
I am excited to continue to get to know all the residents and their wonderful families.
