My brother and I moved our 92-year-old mother into Westfield Park last Friday 24 January 2025. We were literally amazed at the quality of the home. More importantly the staff and service provided is exemplary. Everyone is so helpful with a warm friendly and caring attitude. My mother was a little apprehensive
about the move initially but after only three days is so much happier and content. All in all a fabulous care home.

The care my mum has received at Westfield has been brilliant. Mum arrived at Westfield after a traumatic period due to deteriorating dementia Previously Mum had been agitated and lost quite a lot of weight. Due to the care received and the excellent food Mum has now gained weight and is settled. When
visiting, myself and my elderly father feel welcomed by all staff, who are friendly and helpful.

I have visited Westfield for 2 years. The home is lovely and has well-maintained grounds. The staff are lovely and approachable and work hard. At times there is a shortage which can be frustrating and upsetting. There have been issues with food in the past but now it is really good. Activites and outings
are great and well-organised. Nothing is too much trouble for residents and their guests.

A big thank you to the whole team at Westfield- you go above and beyond. We appreciate the care, support and friendship shown to our mum over the past three-and-a-half years. Staff, many of who have worked there a number of years, know the residents well and there is a real sense of community. A family
feel which made Mum feel settled and content. There are opportunities to enjoy company in the lounge, as Mum did, to socialise at mealtimes and during the wide range of activities. However those who prefer can use their spacious ensuite room as a flat - watching their own TV or chatting on the phone. Visitiors are always welcome and as a family we have felt confident that managers and staff are open and clear, keeping us up to date with regard to Mum's care.

I am so delighted with Westfield Park. Arranging for a parent to move into care is very difficult. Mum has settled really well and we know she is happy, well cared for, engaged and safe. The staff are all fantastic. They know the residents really well and create a loving and caring home atmosphere.
Thank you.

Dad came here about 4 weeks ago after suffering a severe stroke, the staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The care home itself is warm and welcoming, they have areas for family to eat with their loved ones, there is also a bar and small shop. It's like a hotel for old people.

Recently my father became a resident on Haven at Westfield Park. The manager was very helpful, kind, compassionate and professional. She helped us through a difficult time, made a situation that had reached crisis point more bearable. The senior who I believe is her daughter was also equally supportive.
My dad is now happy and settled and we are confident he is getting the best care. Many thanks.

The staff at Westfield Park are very caring and professional. Mum was very settled there and well looked after. Her individual care plan met her needs well. There is open communication between all levels of staff between both residents and their families. There is lots of support at all times which
is especially appreciated during difficult times. The facilities at the home are of a very high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend the home.

I find my mum is adequately cared for and very much in comfortable surroundings, carers look after her with a great measure.
Nothing too much trouble to make her feel special, always pleasant and polite on our visits, and a warm friendly atmosphere. Activities always going on and encouragement to join
in.
Regular get-togethers and entertainment for both residents and relatives to spend time with them.

High-quality care and provision is evident in all aspects of this care home. Staff at all levels will do anything to help residents and their relatives. The experiences provided to relatives are well-considered and constructed and foster a sense of community. The home is very clean and feels like a
high-quality hotel. Staff turnover is very low and they know residents' needs very well, this in turn results in consistent levels of high-quality care.

My husband came into Westfield initially for respite care but ended up staying for a total of 8 weeks as his health deteriorated and he was unable to return home and passed away peacefully in the care home. Myself and my family have been very impressed with the care that he has received throughout.
The kindness and attention of all staff members has been overwhelming and particularly during the difficult last few days their care to both my husband and myself and my family could not be faulted. I felt very comforted that my husband was receiving care and attention when I was unable to visit or be there by his side. If ever I need to move into a care home Westfield will be my number 1 choice and I will be reassured that it is a place that I would feel happy to live in.

Westfield Park Care Home gave my 89-year-old Mum the company, supervision and stimulation that she'd not experienced since Covid began in March 2020 when she lost confidence and became afraid of the infection that claimed so many lives, coupled with the onset of Alzheimer's her world shrunk, to then
have a couple of respite stays, followed by weekly daycare and eventually as a permanent resident she had company, she had activities and even though she didn't always join in she certainly enjoyed watching the others, the staff there also saved my sanity and gave me valuable support.

My father has stayed in other homes and after a stay of respite at Westfield, we have as a family, decided that Westfield Park Care Home is where my father will now stay long term. My father is of capacity so he his able to make his own decisions and he has chosen to stay here because he loves this
home. The staff/carers are all very attentive and caring. The food is of a very high standard and always looks very appetising when I’ve seen it myself. I am very happy that my father has found somewhere that he is very happy to now stay long term, as unfortunately he can’t return to his home address. The home always appears very clean. Also the manager is very approachable, very pleasant and she always makes my father laugh, which is great to see.

We moved my father into Westfield Park for respite care following a stroke whilst we made his home accessible. I cannot praise the management and staff enough. They have been so kind and caring. They have supported us when dealing with his GP practice. The staff check up on him regularly. They also
look after us when we visit, offering a cup of tea or coffee.
Sometimes it’s the little things that matter, one of the staff brought in a jigsaw board to help him with jigsaws.
The staff are always happy and take the time to know all the resident's names.
In summary, if dad does need at some point to move to permanent residential care then Westfield would be my first choice. Massive thanks to all

I found Westfield Park Care Home on entry to be very clean and noticed lots of staff that were happy, friendly and very helpful. I also noticed all residents to be constantly tended to and the definite attention to keeping the residents clean was very apparent. My father's room is comfortable, very
clean and warm. Lots of activities over Christmas and New Year and very nice to see residents' involvement was comforting to know I was leaving my father in a lovely place.

My mother came into Westfield Park Care Home a little nervous but was soon put at ease by management and all the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and well-equipped for all her needs. Every week there are activities going on every day.
The communal areas are lovely, airy and welcoming. I felt it was a very secure place, all doors are a code system with sign in and out book.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.768)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.768) out of 10 for Westfield Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.768 for Westfield Park is calculated as follows: ( (358 Excellents x 5) + (70 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 440 Ratings = 4.768
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Westfield Park is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 111 registered maximum number of service users is 22.2, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I decided to join Care UK because I wanted to make a positive difference in residents’ lives, ensuring they live life to the full while receiving the highest quality care. For me, being a good home manager is not just about supporting residents but also about making sure all colleagues feel valued and appreciated in their roles.

I hold a Diploma Level 5 in Management and have built my career around dementia care, where I’ve previously worked as a Dementia Care Manager. These experiences have given me the skills and knowledge I need to lead with passion, patience, commitment and empathy.

The best part of my day is seeing and speaking to happy staff and residents, and knowing that together we’ve created the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Westfield Park is known for.

One of my proudest achievements in my career has been becoming a registered manager, and I’m equally proud of the positive feedback we consistently receive from families and visitors to the home.

Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with family and friends and heading off on holidays whenever I can.
