Very organised and very clean. Excellent precautions in place to help avoid Covid transmission. Mother-in-law looks well and is happy. It is definitely peace of mind for my wife to know she is looked after so well. Thank you for all the continued hard work.

My mother moved to Lothian House in September 2020 following a period of illness. She has been wonderfully looked after by all the staff who have kept the family updated throughout the pandemic. My mother's happiness and good health is a testament to the wonderful people at Lothian House.

I visited Mum on Monday 8th March 20201 following the lockdown, and the visit was handled professionally, and all tests and PPE issued and worn. My mum is well and healthy and clearly enjoys the company and companionship of all the carers involved in her care. The love and kindness are evident, and I cannot thank the carers enough for providing this during these difficult times as I am not in a position to do it myself; I really will be eternally grateful Mum has continued to thrive since coming to live at Lothian House, and during the last 12-months of the Coronavirus pandemic, which is due to the care and support provided by everyone involved with Lothian House, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a caring environment for their loved ones. Truly, kindness is care personified. Thank you all.

Lothian House is a very clean and friendly care home. The care Mam receives is second to none. The staff ate extremely friendly and helpful. We can rest assured that Mam is happy here. Meals are nutritious and generous helpings with a good variety. Entertainment and crafts help keep residents entertained. All in all, we are extremely happy with this care home.

My mum is extremely well cared for. The staff have kept in touch with us throughout the pandemic. We have full confidence that she is treated with dignity, kindness and respect. Her physical and mental health improved dramatically when she came to live here and our family will be forever grateful that she was here rather than anywhere else for the past 2 years.

Not one case of Covid19 in staff or patients but can keep in touch by phone or Skype, the tablet is taken to Mam, and she can see all of us. We just book a time. Now restrictions are being lifted elsewhere Lothian is putting the residents first! May be able to have window visit for Mams birthday to watch her open birthday presents. If your loved one has any kind of age-related difficulties or you just want the very best, then Lothian House is the residence your looking for. Excellent establishment.

My cousin has been a resident here for some months and cannot speak highly enough of the care she receives. She appreciates the attention given to her by all the staff who are unfailingly polite, patient and cheerful. She enjoys her meals which are varied, attractive, nourishing and plentiful. Above all, she loves the safe secure warm surroundings and is totally happy here. She says that she has never been so spoilt in all her life.

Review from Patricia P (Wife of Resident) published on 21 October 2019 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The last several months have been very stressful for both myself and husband. After caring for my husband for several years, I have made the hardest decision of my life for my husband to go into a care home. I looked at several homes and knew immediately this care home would meet our needs. The entire staff treats us both with kindness and dignity. The home is bright and pleasant throughout.
