Queen Elizabeth Court has a pleasant seaside location and is set in five acres of beautiful grounds. This purpose built Home, which still retains much of its Victorian character and charm, is close to the town and a short walk away from the sea front and golden sandy beach flanked by Great Ormes Head and Little Orme. The Home is a short car ride away from historic Conwy, Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.

The team provide residential care, nursing and residential dementia support for up to 62 residents.

Our care fees for self-funded and local authority funded residents are subject to a preadmission needs assessment which is a requirement of admission, so the Home can fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. The prices quoted are weekly and for guidance only. They will be confirmed following a full assessment. Respite care may be offered and is usually 10% above the permanent care fees, subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs. My husband has only been resident just over a week but he is well cared for by all the staff and is able to sit in the pleasant lounge with their help after assistance with walking and dressing. There is a well-organised routine for care, meals etc to which he is becoming accustomed and importantly

Waited eight days for a bedside lamp.
Cleanliness - sheets nor pillow slips changed during my stay of 14 days, bin not emptied daily, basin only cleaned twice.
Water jug and glass - had to ask several times before this was done.
No bath or shower during my stay for respite care.
Not adequately informed
of facilities on arrival.
Extremely disappointed - not what I expected.

We really appreciate your rating of ‘good’ for our staff but we are sorry to hear that you were not happy with some areas of service. Our staff change beddings and clean the rooms on a daily basis during times when residents are away in the lounge or dining area to avoid any disruptions. Our management team did not receive any complaints during your time of stay but if you wish to discuss any particular concerns, please contact our home manager who will be able to assist you further. In the meantime, we will investigate the issues you have raised with our staff.

When we arrived we were helped immediately on walking through the door. We mentioned our friend's name and we were told where to go. On arrival a carer offered to bring our friend to see us in the lounge area of the dining room she explained he had recently had a shower and might be a little tired.
We could not stay too long but were impressed with the friendly staff and how everywhere looked.

It is very difficult to find any fault at all with this nursing home. The staff are very kind and caring and very happy to help when needed. My wife's quality of life has certainly improved this year since moving into Queen Elizabeth Court.

This is a purpose built home. The layout is excellent. There are plenty of areas to sit and chat to residents. The standard is very high. There are many activities during the week. Music is a popular choice. There are day trips and other seasonal activities. The local school often visits. The staff
are very professional and well trained. They are also caring and empathetic. I am pleased my mother is in such a caring environment.
