Overall Experience

I wish we'd have found Queen Elizabeth Court a long time ago. Mum is very happy here. The staff are very kind and attentive. She loves her room and feels safe and secure. The quality of all the rooms and lounges are first class. Before Covid, there was a full programme of varied activities which help to keep residents stimulated. During Covid, there have been activities although limited due to lockdown. Queen Elizabeth Court goes above and beyond to keep residents safe - to the point that I haven't been able to see mum very often since March 2020! But mum and all the residents are alive and well thanks to the manager and staff here in Queen Elizabeth Llandudno - I cannot thank them enough.

My Mother has been in Queen Elizabeth Court 17 months.
Every single member of staff is always pleasant and talks to my Mother with respect.

After initially being reluctant to join in, now my Mother goes to all the social activities and has made friends. Periodically she has become ill, in every way the nursing staff have done their utmost to keep her comfortable and obtain the relevant help.

The caring standard was very high during my 2 week's respite. My partner is still receiving good care too. I enjoyed the space in my room, corridors and public rooms. Having staff working in the Foyer made the Court more homely.

My mum and dad are both residents and I visit them most days. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their care, understanding, patience and kindness. The very high standard of care is constant. Dad has been quite poorly recently. He was looked after so well ensuring he got the prompt medical attention he needed. I went to a Greek food tasting activity and we had lots of fun. The staff support me too. Thank you.

My husband has only been resident just over a week but he is well cared for by all the staff and is able to sit in the pleasant lounge with their help after assistance with walking and dressing. There is a well-organised routine for care, meals etc to which he is becoming accustomed and importantly nurses in attendance at all times.

My parents were able to come here to live despite both having very different care needs, one has excellent nursing care and the other excellent dementia care. Staff are all caring and committed to their work.

Waited eight days for a bedside lamp.
Cleanliness - sheets nor pillow slips changed during my stay of 14 days, bin not emptied daily, basin only cleaned twice.
Water jug and glass - had to ask several times before this was done.
No bath or shower during my stay for respite care.
Not adequately informed of facilities on arrival.

Extremely disappointed - not what I expected.

To give an example of my experience at Queen Elizabeth Court, I have just had a shower in our refurbished shower/wet room and it was first class. This is just an example of the treatment that we get here and that goes for everything. Just to express my thanks and hope newcomers will find the same. I'm certain they will.

When we arrived we were helped immediately on walking through the door. We mentioned our friend's name and we were told where to go. On arrival a carer offered to bring our friend to see us in the lounge area of the dining room she explained he had recently had a shower and might be a little tired. We could not stay too long but were impressed with the friendly staff and how everywhere looked.

Julie RobertsJob Title:Business Relationship ManagerJoined: 2005

I have worked for RMBI Care Co. since March 2005, when I came as the Receptionist/Admin Assistant at Queen Elizabeth Court. In June 2011, I became the Business Administrator and now the Business Relationship Manager. I have loved watching the Home I work in develop over the years. We now have three areas to the home residential, nursing and residential dementia support, which in turn means that we can hopefully follow our resident’s journey as their care needs change in the later years of their life.

I have loved every day of coming to work in Queen Elizabeth Court to see our residents happy, enjoying day-to-day activities and living a fulfilled life to the best of their abilities, thanks to the care, empathy and kindness shown by my remarkable work colleagues.
