Nestled in the heart of the local community in Ely, Hallmark Regency House is a place residents can live each day to the fullest, providing award-winning residential, nursing and respite care. Residents can also rest assured that all the essentials are covered with Hallmark All-Inclusive.

Moving into a care home can be daunting, but the team’s bighearted approach puts residents and their loved ones at the heart of all they do. Since Mum moved here in June 2021, we have been reassured that she is receiving a high level of care. Staff are amenable and professional, showing empathy and understanding to mum and her specific needs. It has been refreshing to witness protocols and procedures being adhered to, with a clear structure
in place that ensures that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. The management team, family liaison officer, reception personnel, nurses, carers, lifestyle team, and ancillary staff are always approachable and compassionate. They all have a vital role to play in Mum’s care. Mum has had her needs met now that she has been moved to The Regency and we take comfort from the fact that she is now receiving the care that she so deserves. Thank you.

The staff and facilities were outstanding in helping my mum during a respite care stay. The booking staff accommodated our changing requirements in terms of length of stay in a courteous and flexible way which couldn’t be beaten. The care and nursing staff took great care of my mum and were always friendly
and courteous. I would strongly recommend the home for respite care and longer stays

I have been a resident for several months and I could not be any happier. Choosing to leave my family home was a huge decision but one I am so glad I made. The staff are all wonderful and have made this my home.

I can honestly say I have never seen my gramps happier or healthier since my nan passed away years ago. It is clear to see the effect that living on his own was having on his health as he could hardly move and was fighting constantly to stay awake. Since he has been here, however, his mobility is a
lot better and he is awake and alive every time I see him. Again it speaks volumes about the care and service given at Regency House. It was a long and hard road for my grampy to come to realise that he could no longer live in his home that he has lived in for longer than I have been alive. I honestly believe that if he had ended up anywhere else he would have only got worse so I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have done for him.

My dad came into the home from hospital. He was in a poor way his mobility was very poor, he was lonely, depressed and very withdrawn in himself, he had given up. Since he came to the home in such a short time, there is a remarkable difference. I have my dad back, he is the old dad when Mum was alive.
His mobility is remarkable, he is well looked after by every member of staff right down to the laundry and kitchen staff. He has made friends and is so happy all the time.
I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making this home such a high standard and particularly the personal care they give to all their residents. A special mention to the staff who have given me so much support while I dealt with dad's moving from his home to the care home. I would recommend this care home for its high standard, highly caring staff and a real happy home. Thank you to every member of staff.

Fantastic place to visit, my mum became a resident here in March 2021, everyone here care assistants, nurses, receptionist, management etc are very welcoming and friendly to my mum and my family. Since she's been here she has come out of her shell baking, planting, playing games and much more. At first,
I was hesitant for her to go to the care home but this place is amazing!

Mum arrived at the Regency from hospital in a sorry state, confused and thin losing weight and unfortunately in the middle of lockdown. The care and attention she has received have been amazing and that really doesn’t cover it. The staff take time to show they care and after a trip to hospital I saw
first-hand this care and gentleness in the way mum was treated by the young lady who met us back at the regency at 3 am.
It must be something in the water as my 92-year-old mum has become competitive wining ping pong cornhole and hockey who is this woman?
Whatever you have been doing please keep doing it. It really works.

My 97-year-old father was admitted to the home for assessment after a ten-week stay in hospital. He has settled in very well, largely due to the care and support of all who work at the home. He is on the nursing ward and has been treated with respect and dignity. It is clear that all the staff we have
met, know who he is and are aware of his particular needs. With current Covid restrictions in place, the home has been meticulous in ensuring the safety of all the residents. We have been kept informed of his progress and well-being and staff are always happy to speak to my sister and me, at any time. This has been very reassuring for us. If it transpires that he will need long-term care that cannot be met at his own home, I have no doubts that the Regency House Care Home is the best possible place for him.

My mother has been with Regency House for around 6 months now and in that time I feel as though her demeanour and general quality of life have improved significantly. The staff always appear so attentive and polite and it makes me feel extremely comfortable knowing that mum is in such good hands. Even
with the difficulties that the pandemic has caused, regular contact has been facilitated by other means and this has been so important as a family.

Dad went to Regency House in October 2020. It was very upsetting to see this as he was managed by myself and carers for the previous 5 years following a serious fall. As the Coronavirus pandemic was prevalent I was unable to visit the home prior to my dad's admission, and therefore unable to meet most
of the staff caring for him. The staff I spoke with at the time were all very supportive during this difficult time, and the meetings outside or in the car park were always helpful and informative. Four months later Dad appears settled although missing contact with his family just like everyone else. It is the hard work of the team at Regency that has achieved this by engaging with him and meeting his needs in a variety of ways. He is now enjoying taking part in activities and is interested in watching his sport and tv as before. I am very grateful to see him smile when we speak regularly on zoom. Thank you to the team at Regency House for all your care during this difficult time.

My mum has been looked after very well since the Covid crisis started in March 2020. Mum has remained happy and content even though our visits have been limited. Staff always treat Mum with dignity and respect and have been able to keep me updated on her progress every week. Would recommend Regency

First experience of a care home but overall it has been a pleasant surprise. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The entertainment is plentiful and varied. The home is comfortable, homely and always welcoming.

Regency House is a wonderful care home. All the staff are committed and caring, from the managers, care team and domestic team. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My mother has been living at Regency house for almost two years and she loves the home and people. She says all the staff are very caring
and she enjoys all the activities, particularly the gardening.

Mother is very well looked after. Staff know her and treat her as an individual.
Staff very stable - means they all know mum and her needs.
Wide and imaginative - yet appropriate - activities.
Mum was really encouraged to participate (better than her previous nursing home).
Nursing staff know my
mother well and can sense when she is uncomfortable/not on top form.

As the General Manager at Regency House, I bring over 13 years of experience as a qualified nurse, having worked in both the NHS and the private sector across various leadership roles. My background also includes a degree in Psychology, which reflects my commitment to understanding and supporting the emotional as well as physical well-being of those in my care.


Caring for people has always been my passion. I value the meaningful relationships I build with residents, their families, and the team, and I am dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for everyone at Regency House. Wendy joined Regency House in January 2022, bringing over seven years of experience in similar roles to her position as Lifestyle Lead. Her dedication to enhancing the lives of residents through meaningful activities and social engagement has earned her the prestigious Gold Award at the Welsh Care Awards, reflecting her passion and commitment to outstanding care.


In her role, Wendy oversees a team of six Lifestyle Assistants, working collaboratively to design and deliver a diverse and engaging activity programme. Her initiatives focus on enriching residents' lives, fostering social connections, and creating a vibrant and inclusive community within Regency House.
