First experience of a care home but overall it has been a pleasant surprise. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The entertainment is plentiful and varied. The home is comfortable, homely and always welcoming.

Regency House is a wonderful care home. All the staff are committed and caring, from the managers, care team and domestic team. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My mother has been living at Regency house for almost two years and she loves the home and people. She says all the staff are very caring
and she enjoys all the activities, particularly the gardening.

Excellent service and care. My mother is settled, happy and well cared for. Regular entertainment and trips. All carers show personal interest in my mother. I am always treated with respect and sensitivity for my concerns. Wonderfully clean, fabulous coffee area.

Mother is very well looked after. Staff know her and treat her as an individual.
Staff very stable - means they all know mum and her needs.
Wide and imaginative - yet appropriate - activities.
Mum was really encouraged to participate (better than her previous nursing home).
Nursing staff know my
mother well and can sense when she is uncomfortable/not on top form.

Mum has been at Regency House for six months now following nursing assessment and has settled quickly and happily. The nursing care is marvellous and they ensure I am always kept informed. The GP is called without delay if necessary. The carers and indeed all the staff are lovely, warm, kind and
treat Mum with respect and dignity. The activities coordinator is a joy and he provides a variety of entertainment/activities/days out. I think it is fair to say that many of the staff go above and beyond their normal duties to ensure the residents and families are happy, nothing is too much trouble. This is a bright, clean, welcoming and very well run home.

Our only concerns have been duplicated items (lack of variety) on some menus. When raised, our comments were accepted as constructive criticism and the menu options amended shortly thereafter.
During his 15 months at Regency House, dad has been settled, relaxed and comfortable and his only comment
is that the wine list could be a bit more extensive.

The accommodation is appropriate with single ensuite rooms.
The nurses and caring staff are very good.
The communal coffee area for residents, family and friends is bright and airy. The programme for entertainment is good.

I have worked as a district nurse for many years and have visited many care facilities. From the warm welcome we receive as we walk through the door to the standards of cleanliness and facilities make this care home stand out.
Staff treat residents with warm dignity, the meals are fresh and varied,
lots of fresh fruit and desserts available.
My brother-in-law received the highest quality care in what can only be described as 5 stars.

The home has recently had a lot of refurbishment which has made it a pleasure to visit my relative. The hairdresser is accessible on the ground floor. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. The reception area and coffee shop are very nice. On the downside, I find it difficult to get through to the
first floor at certain times of the day with a telephone query.

I think this is a wonderful care home and the refurbishment is outstanding. However, I do think that there is a lack of staff. My Dad eats his meals in his room which I know is his choice. The only time he sees anybody is when they take his food to him. I think more staff are needed just to go around
and have a chat with the residents on a one to one basis.

The support residents get at Regency is fantastic. It is a happy environment where staff go the extra mile. Work has recently been done at Regency House which makes it spacious and light for residents and family. The one thing I would like to see here is more support and more staff to help with activities
for residents, including evenings. The activities coordinator has had a huge impact with his activities in a short space of time since he has been there. Well done.

Our parents experienced superb care from the whole team. The carers were compassionate with both my mother, who died in early April and our father, who naturally is devasted by her loss. My mother has been at the home for almost two years and the care provided is much appreciated. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The home has recently undergone a refurbishment - WOW! The coffee lounge is more spacious where residents can meet and greet their family and friends. Everyone at the
home greets you with a smile and friendly hello. Most important is the nursing care that my mother receives. The staff are supportive, caring and respectful who work hard and inform us of any changes and are happy for us to visit and stay late with mum until she goes to bed. I am grateful for the care and attention she receives - I wouldn't want her to be in another nursing home. It's a safe and secure environment.

Highly recommended. The care professionals are courteous and respectful and ensure the dignity and wellbeing of the residents is a priority.
I have given Excellent for all relevant categories except Facilities. This is due to refurbishment activities being performed since my mum entered the Care Home.
My
mother passed last week and the staff were extremely supportive. They had a perfect balance of being there when they were needed and giving us the space to grieve.

Dad has been in Regency House for a couple of years now. Although quite reluctant to enter a care home (any care home). Dad has enjoyed and continues to enjoy his time at Regency House.
Dad maintains independence, care and above all his sense of humour. All of which is encouraged by staff.

In her role, Wendy oversees a team of six Lifestyle Assistants, working collaboratively to design and deliver a diverse and engaging activity programme.
