With a large, landscaped garden for residents to enjoy, a therapy dog named Archie, and various features within the home – including a social café, activities room, and traditional pub – Shire Hall is a place where residents thrive.

We are extremely happy with the care our mother is having, she is looked after exceptionally well, looks well cared for and happy. When unwell she is treated very quickly and we are kept up to date with everything going on.

My mother moved to Shire Hall about a month ago and my sister and I have been so grateful for the care and professionalism shown by every member of staff and their intentional approach to helping her settle in. The facilities are lovely and I am really pleased that all the daily activities mean that
my mother has so much more of a social life than she had when she was living alone in her flat. Things like having the staff willing to help my mother set up a weekly video call makes a huge difference for me being able to feel more connected with mum since I live overseas and during those calls mum often mentions how everyone is looking after her very well. My grateful thanks to you all.

I continue to find the care home, staff and facilities offered of a high standard. Care is provided as and when needed throughout each part of the day and night according to my mum's changing needs, taking account of her wishes, mood and health. Every effort is made to engage Mum with the varied activities
on offer which help make her feel happy, valued and still able to enjoy life. The staff are without exception true 'carers'.

From our experiences and observations relating to our Uncle's life at Shire Hall may I first begin by expressing our gratitude for the care provided by the home:-
The quality of care and how well the staff attend to our Uncle's needs.
He is always praising the staff, and we too appreciate the caring,
fun, and thoughtful staff members who are always friendly and professional.
Our Uncle comments frequently on the quality and variety of meals and how well he is looked after.

My friend continues to be provided with exemplary care from all members of the care team despite her difficult circumstances. No corners are cut or possible improvements left unexplored and I can't think of one area that could be improved (except parking!).

My brother is well cared for by the nurses and carers. The home is clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoy the coffee shop with it cakes! The garden is well laid out and stimulating.

Shire Hall Care Home is absolutely amazing at looking after Dad. It's so relaxing, a lovely cafe and a beautiful garden. From the minute Dad arrived, he was cared for and looked better than he had done for months. A particular member of staff and the whole reception team are outstanding at their jobs,
so friendly and always on hand for a shoulder to cry on. Thank you; it has been a great help during such a difficult time. Everyone is like a family; we couldn't wish for better. Thank you.

It is a tricky decision to make to move a loved one to residential care, but Shire Hall Care Home has made it easy. The smiles and welcome of the staff through to the food. Accommodation and activities mean Dad is supported and cared for. Thank you all.

Since Mum moved to Shire Hall, I have gained peace of mind, knowing that caring professionals are looking after her.
