Overall Experience
My mother who is now 94 has been in the home for 18 months and she has settled in very well. She likes the food and is eating well. Last year she fell and broke her femur but was back on her feel in no time at all.

The food is excellent and the meals are enough and more!!

The carers are kind and considerate and always make sure that the resident's dignity is considered all the time.

It is very distressing hearing your mother going into a new care home. After previous experience, I was anxious about the establishment. However, she has settled down well. She is happy. She loves the staff and gets along with all activities with other residents. Overall, happy.

Having spent a long period in hospital, we were told my mother needed nursing care. Having viewed several care homes and read their inspection reports we also spoke to several people experiencing the same process and decision making. We chose Shire Hall having been recommended by several people and are extremely pleased with the care, staff and friendly environment. It has reassured us that the choice was right and helps us deal with mum's dementia.

We are a life long friend to a resident who we visit quite often. We always have a wonderful welcome and a wonderful report on him. Every body likes our friend and he has a lot of lovely friends. By what we have seen of the home, everything is so clean and spotless. I would recommend it to anybody.

My mother has been in some different homes in the past, she has never settled any where apart from Shire Hall. She is more aware of her surroundings and interacts a lot more. The staff are amazing with the elderly and myself and family could not be happier that she is safe and secure.
