I am delighted to be able to provide a review of this excellent care home. Dad has been a resident for many years and has found it a wonderful caring community with an active and interesting activities programme. Although all the facilities are to a very high standard, what makes this home outstanding
is the wonderful attitude of the staff, all the staff, to their residents. I recommend this home to everyone.

My father often tells me that he is very happy at Ty Enfys and I am always made very welcome there.
All the staff are kind, friendly and know me and my family. The standard of care and cleanliness is exemplary. My father benefits greatly from being encouraged to take part in activities and I feel
confident that the care he receives is tailored to his individual needs.
Dad says he feels lucky to live at Ty Enfys and I agree.
Thank you to all the staff.

My mum is cared for here at Ty Enfys on the nursing floor. My sister and I come as often as we both can along with our husbands and children (mum's grandchildren) but at the end of the day when we are in our homes we are both happy and rest assured in the knowledge that mum has the best care that can
be offered to her at this time. I personally find all the staff on the second floor very professional but above all very friendly, kind and loving towards our mum which is the most important, I think.

From the time mum came to Ty Enfys with dementia she was treated with dignity, caring, patience and love. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all tasks were carried out with a smile. Different events are organised to keep residents occupied I.e. Music morning Tuesday, knit and natter Wednesdays
etc. In 8 years my mum did not have one bedsore because of the care. I would highly recommend Ty Enfys to all my friends.

My brother has been resident in Ty Enfys for some time and suffers from severe dementia. The care given to him by the staff is of exceptional quality, nothing seems to be too much trouble, especially with regard to the time spent with him. And, despite his inability to communicate he looks well cared
for. We are so grateful.

We are delighted with the care home. Mum has been here for over 2 years and she is happy and well cared for. She loves all the activities and is especially keen to attend all the music events and exercise classes. The care home welcomes comments and is quick to act on any issue that is raised - good
and bad.

My experience dates from 2011 when my late husband stayed in Ty Enfys, care was wonderful and I visited him daily at any time. The staff are superb and morale is high due to the constant praise and encouragement of the management. When my husband eventually died in 2013 his brother needed care and was
in agreement to enter too. It is one reason that I became a volunteer, entering the programme of activities that are daily provided for residents. My own condition is to play songs that evoke memories of the past few decades. My brother in law has just died and I am indebted to the wonderful world of this home in treating and caring for elderly frail people.

Always welcoming and friendly. I can call anytime. My mother is always dressed, clean and comfortable. Staff spend time talking to her and taking her into the garden, going for a sing song and other activities put on at the home. Staff contact me quickly when she is ill and call for the doctor if required.
They feed her if necessary to encourage her to eat.

My father was transferred to Ty Enfys as an emergency, he was in an extremely poor state of health. The care from the nursing staff, carers at Ty Enfys has been excellent in every respect. The staff are dedicated professionals who treat my father with dignity, which is how every elderly vulnerable person
should be treated.

My father has complex medical needs and was in a care home that couldn't cope with him. He moved to Ty Enfys at the end of January (to their EMI nursing unit). He was very confused and angry with the move at first and was a challenge. However, within a week I saw a different man, happy, smiling, engaging
in conversation ... back to my dad again! I can't thank the staff in Ty Enfys enough for their help, support, patience and care with my dad. They were wonderful and have turned him around completely.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.850)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.850) out of 10 for Hallmark Ty Enfys is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 58 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 58 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.850 for Hallmark Ty Enfys is calculated as follows: ( (592 Excellents x 5) + (87 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 687 Ratings = 4.85
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hallmark Ty Enfys is based on 58 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 101 registered maximum number of service users is 20.2, which has been reached with 58 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
