All the staff are lovely.
Great to see Mum after so long.
My Father went into Trafalgar park Nelson in July 2020 and much to my amazement he settled in really well which was down to the Manager and the wonderful staff they have working there. The care that he was given to my father was up and beyond what we were expecting, nothing was ever to much trouble and made my fathers stay there like he had a new extended family and they made sure it felt like home from home for him. Sadly we lost my dad in December but due to pandemic restrictions visits were limited but again the staff and management were unbelievable compassionate and made sure my dad was never on his own as we would have loved to have been with him at the time of passing but we had to consider other families have loved ones that the staff have to protect but we were allowed two compassionate visits with full PPE which we were really grateful for. I know that the last months of my dad's life was filled with lots of love and the best care we could ever have wanted for him.
Would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Trafalgar Park, you have kept our relatives safe during these extremely difficult times. You have kept smiling, ready to spend time assuring us that our loved ones are well, you really are very special people. The group should be rightfully proud of you all, well done.
This residential home is excellent in every way. My aunt (the resident) said that it is like being in a hotel! The staff are always courteous and kind, even in the most difficult circumstances. I am very grateful for the professional and caring way they have coped throughout the coronavirus pandemic. I wish that the government would recognise this. I thoroughly recommend this home.
Visited mum in the garden today. Carers so helpful and loving to mum and us her family. COVID-19 has obviously impacted highly on our visits to mum. But the staff are always helpful when we ring mum (daily) and freely answer our worries/concerns. We all agree mum is happy and well.
My mother is happy and feels safe. She loves the program of entertainment that this home offers. Myself and my family like the continuity of the staff at the home, we believe that it is so important for all residents. Any queries we have concerning my mum are always dealt with very quickly. After finding this home for mum 3 years ago we as a family like to think that we found a gem of a place in Trafalgar Park Care home.
We would highly recommend Trafalgar Park Care Home.
Well cared for, and the room is spotless.
All the staff are excellent.
Home is clean, and food is excellent too.
Can't praise enough.
The managers and staff are excellent, most helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My husband has only been in your care for a short time. This care has improved his health and I am so pleased how he has adjusted to you all. This home is so peaceful. I hope everyone working here will keep on doing good work. Many thanks.
Meals are appetising and offer choice and variety.
Nothing is too much trouble and the managers are approachable and readily available.
Staff are kind and caring - nothing is too much trouble.
I find that all the staff that I have met are all very nice. Can't do enough for you.
My mother has been in care for two and a half years. Her condition is progressively deteriorating. Trafalgar Park Care staff do a good job of looking after her and making sure that she is comfortable.
Since my dad has been here it has been brilliant, the staff have been amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Every room is lovely and clean. The food looks lovely and my dad enjoys it very much. Could not complain.
She would also prefer to have a handrail fitted to bed to make it easier to get out of bed.
Overall experience on choosing the home and the care my aunty has received has been very good.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. There are a number of activities which take place daily around the home in different communities; we would welcome and support your aunt to join these if she wants. I am pleased to advise the handrail is now in place.
This care home is by far the best, as I have recently looked around for a placement for my mother. Since she has been at TP she has gained weight and is relatively happy. She keeps saying she wants to return home but unfortunately she is not able to. She has been a TP for 2 and a half months and I am pleased with the way she has settled. The staff are very good.
You must be so proud of your staff from the laundry staff, to the cleaners, the kitchen staff, admin, and especially the care staff, hold on to them they are exceptional.
The home is Clean Tidy and well Decorated. Very welcoming for all the residents and families to enjoy, from the coffee lounge to the well-presented gardens.
It was an extremely difficult decision to move him from his home to the care home, especially from my mother's perspective but was made easier by the staff. The guilt experienced by us all was overwhelming and heartbreaking especially when we heard the words 'I want to come home'.
My father did settle into the routine. It was to be the last few months of his life but we took comfort that he was being looked after and kept informed of any changes, i.e. falls, GP, etc. A big THANK YOU. Keep doing what you do.
Once again, the care given by Trafalgar Park staff is truly amazing. My mother in law spent most of the day in hospital last week, she was allowed home but informed that there would be a long wait, possibly into the night, before an ambulance could take her back to Trafalgar Park. Being told this, the handyman whose shift had just ended, came back to work, picked up a wheelchair and came to the hospital to bring my mother in law home. This act of kindness is one example of how staff go above and beyond what's expected from them. This kind, thoughtful man is an asset to your company.

Home Manager at Aberpennar Court, Mountain Ash
What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?
“Making care person-centred and ensuring we do it properly; to the best standard and best of our ability.”
As a dedicated healthcare professional, Thomas has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.
Thomas closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. He extends this caring approach to his colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked about why he chose to work in the care sector, Thomas remarked:
“Everyone needs help sometimes. We've all been in periods of our lives where we need someone to help us, regardless of age. I feel privileged working in the care sector and giving people the help they need.”
Thomas talks about his proudest achievement when becoming a father and having to rebuild his house after severe flood damage on his own, finishing it three days before his son was born!
If you would like to find out more about Aberpennar Court, Thomas would be delighted to have an informal discussion with you to answer any questions and provide further information.
