When entering Cliveden Manor the feeling is of warmth, friendliness. The staff always greet visitors with a smile from reception to kitchen staff. The standard of decor is a very high, well maintained and the facilities are very good e.g making tea and coffee etc.

Mam went into Cliveden Manor in September 2014 initially into assisted living but after two months she went into The Willows. The care mam receives is always unfailing, professional and warm and all the time carried out with a smile. Mam can be quite difficult at times but she is always dealt with sympathetically
and with reason. The best thing I can say to simplify my view on Cliveden Manor is that I sleep well at night knowing mam is being well looked after.

I visit Cliveden Manor once or twice a week. There is always a friendly atmosphere and all staff from the carers, kitchen staff, receptionists, activities and even the laundry staff from the carers, kitchen staff, receptionists, activities and even the laundry staff who go out of their way to help my
friend and her visitors.

My 95-year-old mother in law has been very happy since she moved in one year ago. She has settled into her new home very quickly thanks to the wonderful support from all the staff. She has more friends with other residents and now enjoys a quality of life that would not have been possible if she had

The decision to move into residential care is tough for both the person concerned and his or her family. There comes a time when additional care is needed and, equally importantly, companionship and entertainment. The move to Cliveden Manor was absolutely right for all of us and I wish that my mother
had made the decision earlier. Cliveden Manor has provided her with a home, care, kindness and companionship. The welcoming atmosphere means that my family have been able to treat it as a home from home and see her every day. Residents and staff have been particularly kind to all of the little children who have raced in to visit their great-grandmother. it is what the best such places should be: not hushed, tucked away and smelling of cabbage, but part of life, full of visitors and flowers.

Having lost my husband many years ago and lived alone since, I now enjoy security and peace of mind - as I am sure my family do to. Staff generally and carers, in particular, are unfailingly friendly and supportive.
The standard of cleanliness and housekeeping is excellent, I have had reservations
about the food especially veg but some signs of improvement recently. Overall relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Generally, the staff are well trained and kind, they are pleased to help with any problems which arise and seek to make life in Cliveden Manor as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
There are outings and excursions arranged for all tastes and shopping trips weekly, as near home as one could hope

The care is good. The food is sometimes good but has been poor at times. My room is very pleasant but small.


The staff are all good and kind but we see a lot of agency staff especially at weekends. There are lots of activities organised which are excellent.

We have a number of types and size of suite, for differing tastes and budgets; our residents are more than welcome to move to a different suite if they wish and I will ensure that all of our residents are aware of that. Our care model at Signature is for us to provide the care our residents need or want at the time they require it. To cover staff absence or holidays, this can mean we have agency staff. We use only one agency and all our agency staff are in a 'pool' of carers who frequently work with us, so we are able to provide continuity of care to our residents. Since moving to Cliveden Manor last year I have found the staff helpful, caring and kind. The building and my apartment are lovely and clean. The activities are excellent and I feel safe and well cared for. However, I sometimes feel I have lost some of my independence and would like more control over
my privacy. The food needs to be improved and is only just acceptable.

Having lived in Dorking with the help of a carer for about 10 years after my wife's death, I came here as my son's family live in Marlow. Signature Cliveden Manor is a recently built care home. Accommodation is in one or two rooms plus shower room and a small kitchen area. An effort is made to entertain
residents with in-house activities and outside visits. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is expensive.

The main feature is the friendly atmosphere between both residents and staff of all kinds. Making for general cheerfulness. The food is varied and plentiful with many choices and most meals are available over a two hour period, giving plenty of choice of times. The fees are high and tend to increase,
even though they should be met from the sale of a house, but it is a worry that the money might not last for an indefinite time. Generally, I am very happy to be here!

Job Title: Clinical Home Manager Joined: 2024

I was born in Sunderland; however, my family emigrated to South Africa when I was a child, but I never forgot my roots and always knew I would return one day. I just didn’t know it would take me so long.


I completed my schooling and I enrolled on nursing. I qualified as a general Nurse, working a lot in the elderly people’s wards. After a few years, I transferred to paediatrics and ultimately settled in the Critical care units.


In 1990, I continued my training by specialising in Medical and Surgical Critical care with a speciality in Cardio-thoracic nursing. During my nursing career, I worked my way up from a Staff Nurse to a Deputy Nursing Manager of a 240-bed private hospital.


I returned to England in August 2018 and obtained my NMC pin by starting as a pre-registered nurse, completing the required English test, Nursing test and OSCE. I was lucky to be working within the Adult Social Care environment and was supported and mentored by my colleagues, and obtained my PIN in November 2018.

Following my successful enrolment with the NMC, I quickly worked my way up to becoming a Clinical Deputy Manager at a Care Home in London.


In 2022, I was chosen to be a Digital Champion for NCL. This role has allowed me to become involved in all the digital aspects of ASC and allowed me to share knowledge within our settings and obtain funding for the home to move from paper-based documents to digital technology.


On my days off, I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, reading a good book or just taking walks.


I am very committed to ensuring that our residents are at the centre of all that we do and are treated with care, dignity, and respect. I am always willing to listen to their concerns or just have a friendly chat.


I joined Cliveden Manor in March 2024 as a Clinical Deputy Manager. I completed my Level 5 Leadership and Management Programme in early 2025, and I was promoted from Clinical Deputy Manager to Clinical Home Manager in September 2025.

Nickisha joined Cliveden Manor Care Home as a nurse in March 2023 and she was promoted to Nursing Care Manager in January 2024 and later promoted to Clinical Deputy Manager in September 2025.

I have been in sales for most of my career.

Having had to research a care home for my mother-in-law, I realised that the role of Customer Liaison Manager was one that I wished to pursue.

I previously worked as the Registered Manager at a Residential Home in Oxfordshire.


I worked there for 10 years, working my way up from care assistant through various roles and I was in the role of manager for over 4 years.


I have worked in the elderly care sector since 2011 and I knew straight away that it was a career that I wanted to follow.


I particularly have a passion for working with those living with dementia and doing all I can to enrich their lives.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2009 and sadly passed away 6 years later. Helping to care for her made me realise that it was something that I wanted to do.


Cliveden Manor is a lovely home with a great reputation and I enjoy supporting my residents, family members and team members.

Since then, I have been able to work with some amazing people, I’ve learnt so many new things and have created a lot of wonderful memories! My passion is ensuring the resident's needs are catered to and that they have a wonderful dining experience.
