Bentley House is a purpose-built care home offering exceptional residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a luxurious environment. From the moment residents and visitors arrive, they are met by a caring team who are passionate about creating a place that truly feels like home.

Life at Bentley House is shaped by the people who live there. Residents enjoy two elegant restaurants, with menus chosen by the resident committee. The stunning cinema is a popular space, often filled with visiting grandchildren. A dedicated Wellbeing and Lifestyle Team curates a rich programme of trips, visiting speakers, one-to-one time and activities, all guided by resident choice and regular forums.

The one-bedroom suites are more like private apartments than traditional care rooms. Each offers a separate bedroom, lounge and kitchenette, alongside a full en-suite wet room. These spacious apartments are double the size of those found in many care homes and are ideal for those who value extra space or for couples who wish to remain together. Studio apartments are also available for those who prefer something a little more compact.

My father moved into Bentley House in March 2016. He has been exceptionally well cared for by a caring and friendly team. The home staff have treated him as an individual recognising his likes and he has nothing but praise for the home. He chooses not to participate in most activities, enjoying his
own lounge area, TV, DVD player etc but the home has involved him in activities which appeal to him within an extensive and well-supported programme. Food is very varied and although my father finds it a little bland he recognises this is more to others tastes. Interviewed by the home for an advert he said 'fallen on my feet' regarding the home which is an excellent endorsement of the care I have seen evidence of.

I am delighted with the outstanding care my father has received at Bentley House. From the minute I made my enquiry to today, everything has been handled professionally, by staff who are caring and compassionate. I have seen several other homes and in my opinion, none are comparable to Bentley House
in terms of the care, environment and lively atmosphere. Would not hesitate in recommending this home.

I made an initial appointment to visit the home, knowing that my husband needed nursing care and from then on nothing has been too much trouble. I feel that my husband is treated with care, compassion and dignity and I also receive support from the staff.
The fees are very steep but one of my children
worked it out on an hourly role for 24-hour care, and that makes it look totally reasonable knowing the level of care my husband needs.

Care was extremely high standard, no complaints. Quality of meals excellent. Staff exceptionally helpful. Activities assisted and also the assistant manager who had visited me prior to admission.
All activities outside the home were very well organized. The coach driver exceptionally good.

I received a very warm welcome when I arrived at Bentley House straight from hospital. I needed complete rest and care after an operation and that is what I received. All the staff were very caring and friendly - always checking to see if you were OK and did you need anything. The home was clean, bright
and very tastefully furnished. The food was varied, many choices, beautifully cooked and presented. There were many activities if you wanted to join in or comfortable places to sit and read and have a cup of tea of coffee. If I ever need respite care again I would not hesitate to book a room again at Bentley House and I would also recommend it to my friends and family.

As soon as I walked through the door, I knew this would be the place for my mother to live! In the past, I myself have worked in day centre's and nursing homes. I have seen other places and none can compare with the care and activities here at Bentley House, along with the décor, room, welcome and great

I was quite happy during my two weeks respite stay. I felt supported but I had a medical issue and a nurse told me I would have to see my own GP rather than the visiting doctor. I wasn't happy with this as I wanted to be seen. This was mentioned to the nurse manager when I was collected. It seems that
perhaps there was miscommunication. We were assured it wouldn't recur.

The home’s GP did actually visit and attempt to see you, but unfortunately, you were on one of our trips out. The home’s GP stated, after hearing the concerns from our Registered Nurse, that as you were finishing your stay on the Monday, it was okay to see your own GP and you wouldn’t need to see a GP before then, as the nurses within the home would be able to assist with the situation. We apologise as it appears that this wasn’t fully communicated to you.

My stay at Bentley House has been highly beneficial. I have had two weeks to convalesce following major surgery, and now feel ready to go home.. well almost! my only complaint is that on three occasions I was woken by night staff asking if I was alright! Otherwise, all staff have showed consideration
and kindness, always willing to help. They are obviously happy in their work and have received excellent training.

I have had the pleasure of being part of the Bentley House family since 2018, working in a variety of roles across the home. In my current position, I am the first point of contact for families beginning their journey to find the right caring environment for their loved ones.


I truly enjoy welcoming people into Bentley House and showcasing our exceptional facilities, luxurious surroundings and the incredible team who make our home so special. Supporting families at such an important time and helping them feel confident in their decisions is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

Emma Franklin

I began my career in care at the age of 16, working part-time as a Housekeeper while still at college. Spending time with residents quickly sparked a passion for care, and I soon left college to become a full-time Care Assistant. I spent my first ten years in the sector before taking the opportunity to travel, exploring Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia and South America over 18 months.


On my return, I spent the next 14 years developing my career from Senior Care Assistant to Assisted Living Coordinator, then Regional Care Coordinator, supporting homes across the business before stepping into a General Manager role. I later joined Signature Senior Lifestyle, first as General Manager at Elton House and then transferring to Bentley House.


With 30 years in the care industry, I feel just as passionate about supporting residents today as I did when I was 16. Providing exceptional care, leadership, and a true sense of home for our residents continues to be a privilege and a joy.

I have a background as a qualified nurse and midwife. I have experience working with different client groups, such as dementia, learning disabilities, assisted living, nursing and residential care. I am a very hardworking and passionate person. As the Residential Manager, I believe that it is important to be approachable and willing to help others.
