My Mum was the very first resident at Rosebery Manor in December 2014, and she lived there until early July this year, by which time she was nearly 102. I moved her to East Yorkshire, near to me, so that my wife and I could visit her more frequently. Sadly at the beginning of August, she died, peacefully
in her favourite armchair.


Any move into a Residential Home from one's own house is bound to be difficult, but I was always impressed with the care and attention shown to my Mum. With some Members of the staff I felt it went beyond normal duty, particularly as my Mum could be difficult at times.


I have no hesitation in recommending Rosebery Manor. It is well laid out and in my experience, it is well run.

An excellent care home, probably one of the best but at a cost!
It's a crying shame why all care homes cannot be set to this standard and you don't have to sell your house to obtain a good quality care home.
Staff are brilliant, caring and attentive.
Meals are varied and the staff look out for those
who either forget or didn't attend a meal time.
The car park is generally an issue trying to park your car as it generally is full so you have to park on the road or in the adjacent road.
Nurses keep you well informed if they have a concern by calling you directly.

I have lived here since November 2017. My first impression was a surprise at the non-institutional and relaxed atmosphere rather like that of a good hotel! But the staff are efficient and caring and create an atmosphere of friendship and community. There are plenty of activities for all tastes. It was
lovely to be able to bring my own furniture and indeed I could have brought a dog or a husband! With my poor health, I am confident in the meticulous care taken by the nursing staff.

I arranged for my friend to become a resident at Roseberry - she was very reluctant and apprehensive to make the move.
Management went beyond the call of duty to make her feel settled and welcome.
They supported me throughout the process with care and understanding.
They treated my friend with dignity,

My Mum is in the dementia ward at Rosebery's - she has been there for 3 years and to us, it feels like home - all the people are friendly, the staff look after her very well. I feel at ease that Mum is cared for when we are not there. I would recommend Rosebery Manor to everyone.

I rang my sister-in-law most Saturdays or Sundays over the last two years she was with you.
She always said how happy she was. She found walking and her speech difficult towards the end of her life but you all helped her very much.

All the staff are very helpful and caring and we were particularly assisted by the Client Liaison Manager, who ensured my mother become familiar and comfortable with Roseberry Manor during a series of managed visits over a month or so.


The actual move-in went ahead seamlessly with all the carers

in the Oaks introducing themselves and being friendly and attentive. Particular thanks go to the Dementia Manager, who ensures there is calm and dignity for the residents.


Whilst it is still early days for my mother I am relieved to have found her a new home where her individual needs are catered for she has the care and support she requires.

It's very expensive - we paid £1,748 a week. The care was good, as you would expect, and some staff members seemed genuinely attached to my father, even though he had advanced dementia.
Communication was poor. It was hard to find out how my father was on the phone. When the dementia manager left, nobody
told us. I got the impression that the staff called me when they had to - e.g. when my father fell over - but not otherwise.
We asked the care home to arrange a Continuing Health Care evaluation for my father. They agreed to do so, but they did nothing and in the end, the Community Psychiatric Nurse arranged it.
The dementia manager who left was not replaced for quite a while, leaving a serious gap.

Open and transparent communication is key for our service, and during a time of management change, this may have been lacking in parts, back in March, the date of this review. Our newly appointed management team, including the Dementia Manager, has ensured that all channels of contact, whether by email or telephone, remain constant and continuous. We are further working to enhance our system with the potential for our families to remote access and view the type of day their loved one has had, giving reassurance and peace of mind.

Mum has been in Rosebery Manor since it opened. It has had some staff and teething issues but on the whole, this is a lovely place for Mum to live in comfort and within a very caring environment. The personal helpers and medical teams are wonderful and are really take great care of Mum. The food is

We are very impressed with the care my mother has received whilst at Rosebery Manor over the past 2 years. All the staff are friendly, caring and show a lot of respect to all residents and their relatives. Following my mother's stroke, the staff have quickly and seamlessly adapted to her new and more
intensive level of care and needs without even having to ask. The Dementia unit is very efficiently run by the Dementia Manager who maintains very high standards whilst treating all residents as individuals.

My Dad was one of the first residents when Rosebery Manor opened and we have seen it grow and develop a strong community feel. He has a neurodegenerative illness which means he can no longer live alone safely, but making the decision to move was difficult as he is relatively young to be in a care home.
The attention to detail has made the transition much easier - his room is spacious and feels like a mini-flat where he is happy to have visitors and the communal areas are luxurious and well kept. It was important to Dad to keep busy and the daily activities and trips are thoughtful and varied. All areas (activities, catering, maintenance, caring and support staff) are responsive to requests and suggestions from residents. The staff take the time to get to know those in their care and their families and genuinely want to make life as happy and fulfilling as possible. Anyone who visits tends to comment that Rosebery Manor is a pleasant surprise and exceeds their expectations of a care home.

Very good. Excellent surroundings, calm, peaceful, rooms superb with good walk in en-suite bathroom/showers. Staff could not be more courteous and willing to please from reception, restaurants, room cleaners to managers. Nursing staff are very able and good at times of crisis. Food very good and restaurant

My father first became a resident approximately 12 months ago before recently transferring, under guidance of the medical/care team, to the dementia ward. Although initially some reluctance on the part of the family to make the move it has proven to be absolutely the right thing. Dad receives first

My friend went into the home in March with Alzheimer's, she was becoming very difficult to deal with and had become unclean. The staff at the home deal with her very well and although she is very difficult and uncooperative, are very understanding with her.
We are very pleased with her care, the food
is excellent and her room is cosy and clean. She has also put on weight and is much fitter than she has been at home. We are paying high fees but feel it is worth it.

My mother moved in in February after spending time in hospital. She has settled in very well. The care staff are extremely kind and are well trained in dealing with dementia. The care staff are efficient but also have the homely tough and I feel they know my mother's likes and dislikes. I am always
welcome. There is a lot going on to partake in if wanted. My mother seems happy.

I am delighted to be joining the team here at Rosebery Manor as the Hospitality Manager. I have gained over 18 years of experience in customer service and management roles in the hospitality and leisure industry and look forward to bringing this knowledge to the role.


I am passionate about delivering exceptional service to our residents and their families, as well as being committed to creating a positive dining and enjoyable front-of-house experience. I am lucky to be joining an enthusiastic and motivated hospitality team who strives to meet the needs of all our residents.

The housekeeping team and I make sure our home is kept clean and tidy to a very high standard. We provide a weekly service to all our residents to ensure their private apartment suites are maintained to their personal preference and their laundry requirements are met. The communal areas are cleaned daily so our home looks as good today as it did when we first opened in 2014. We take great pride in our home and value the lovely relationship we have with all our residents.

My journey started here in December 2022 as an Activities Assistant and loved it from day 1!

relationships that enables us to support them to live as independently as possible and ensure their well-being is priority.
I was promoted to Coordinator in July 2023 and my feet haven’t touched the floor, my role is varied, fun, challenging and extremely rewarding. I have a great team who all put the resident’s well-being first and their support and teamwork is exceptional.
I look forward to continuing my journey at Rosebery Manor.
