Wiltshire Heights is an exceptional 63-bed care home in Bradford-on-Avon with a highly-trained, compassionate team on hand 24 hours a day to provide exceptional residential, dementia, nursing and respite care. Those living at Wiltshire Heights benefit from a private bedroom with an en suite wetroom, a choice of lounges to relax in, a bespoke hair salon and a private dining room to celebrate those special family occasions. Mum was reluctant to move to a care home, but advancing dementia required it. Once she visited Wiltshire Heights she was won over by the impressive facilities and friendly staff and settled in well: living there from February 2019 to March 2024. Mum was safe, fed well and looked after there - and happier
than I've ever seen her in my whole life! She soon made friends among the other residents, usually sharing a table together at mealtimes. She enjoyed walking the corridor for exercise, participating in group activities, and meeting other residents and staff (whom she often hugged - a reflection of the kindness they showed to her). I know Mum was well cared for there, and treated with love and respect. Wiltshire Heights is exceptionally well run, with a clear team spirit, and an ethos that all people matter. The result is happy staff, friendly, open and professional in their attitude and always ready to help. It's just what Mum needed and what I needed for her. Thank you so much!

I have been meaning to write to thank you all for the care you are giving my mum on Willow Ward at Wiltshire Heights, Bradford-On-Avon.
It was lovely to see the care and love Mum received from your staff.
Three members of staff in particular were just lovely with special mention to another three members
of staff who went that extra mile for Mum.
The cleaners would also pop in for a chat to see how Mum was doing, which shows the beautiful interaction all staff have with the residents.
The particular member of staff from the activities team has always been amazing.
The nurses were amazing with three members of staff having tough shifts at the weekend, trying to get through to the NHS.
Another staff member is an absolute asset to your team, sorting out a lot of issues during the week, always with a smile.
Another staff member was always ready to chat and explain things.
Another would often stop and make sure everything was going well and it was lovely to chat on a more personal level.

Our uncle moved to Wiltshire Heights last month. We are very impressed with the care and compassion that all the staff show. They have good quality food and wine is available with meals. My father came to Wiltshire Heights after a long stay in hospital after a fall. He was cared for by the team on Poppy floor initially and then he moved to the ground floor for some respite care. All the staff were fantastic - they worked hard to help him build back his physical strength and mobility,
and his overall confidence - and they were all so kind and attentive. My father returned to independent living at home after a 5 week stay at Wiltshire Heights and is continuing to improve. A big thank you to all the staff at Wiltshire Heights who go to know him, and who helped him return to his home.

Dad adjusted quickly to being looked after. Over the year he has formed very positive relationships with staff and enjoyed the stimulation offered by the activities team. While mentally very bright and inquiring with many interests he had physical needs. He feels safe and well looked after and his general
state of health is improved through excellent nutrition and regular exercise as well as the kindness of the care staff. He has recently been able to move from extra care to residential as a result of these changes. We as a family have been very pleased by how his needs are met. He has a more positive state of mind and we have returned to enjoying him as his children rather than carers which has benefitted us all. There will always be adjustments to be made and occasional questions to ask when such a change is made but we thank the Wiltshire Heights staff for always being approachable and receptive. A very positive experience for us all, thank you.

My husband first came to Wiltshire Heights Care Home for respite care but after 1 week the family realised that it would be the right place for him to live permanently. He is so well looked after by the wonderfully kind and thoughtful staff that the family can relax knowing that he is in a safe place.

I always look forward to my weekly visit to Wiltshire Heights for a Scrabble session. The games themselves are competitive but fun and the opportunity to chat together with a cup of tea and slice of cake are so enjoyable.
The gardens at this time of year are particularly colourful and I regularly see
residents either enjoying a gentle stroll or just relaxing in this lovely outdoor space.
May and the Kings Coronation. This meant party time, expertly planned by the activities team, red, blue and white decorations were in abundance, photos taken, crowns for all, a delicious afternoon tea, live music to singalong to and so many smiling faces, what a happy afternoon!

The home has the most caring and attentive staff who clearly enjoy what they do and look after Mum superbly. They do their best to keep Mum engaged with everything that happens in the home. They attend to her everyday needs both wellbeing and health. Mum always looks clean and tidy and well looked after.
The
home itself has a wonderful homely atmosphere with its furnishings always immaculate. The activities team do an excellent job keeping the residents entertained and the restaurant and meals facilities are first class.
The reception is always welcoming and helpful to visitors, making it a joy to pass through. Thank you for looking after Mum so well.

We chose Wiltshire Heights as it had great reviews and we felt as soon as we walked in it was going to be right for Mum. Friendly, professional and homemade food. It has not disappointed. Despite the pandemic, we feel Wiltshire Heights has extended her life and her quality of life and made it a home
for her when we visit.

Lovely clean bright home. Carers really seem to care about the residents. Mum has a lovely room overlooking the gardens and can sit quietly in there or go out and join in with any of the activities on offer. The food always looks very appetising with homemade puddings and cakes which visitors are also
offered. Whenever you go in you are made to feel welcome. I feel mum is settling in well and is alot happier in herself. Would recommend to anyone.

Mum has only been at Wiltshire Heights Care Home for 12 days but has settled very well. Her room, with a lovely en suite, is spacious and comfortable with views onto a small patio where she can see the pots we have planted with spring bulbs and also watch the birds and squirrels on the bird feeders
and in the garden.
The facilities are excellent and the decor is tasteful and calming. The activity calendar is varied with plenty of choices.
All the staff, without exception, are courteous, caring, helpful and friendly.

My mother stayed for two weeks of respite care.
All the staff were wonderfully caring, made her feel very welcome and looked after her very well.
The home is delightful and beautifully decorated, giving more of a hotel feel!
Mum would have liked more daily activities, but the lack of them may have
been due to Covid restrictions.
I would thoroughly recommend it.

We could not have asked more of Wiltshire Heights. They accepted Dad for respite within a very short space of time just before Christmas, and then as his care moved to permanent- and quickly to end-of-life care- the commitment from all staff to him was without fault. It was hard for him to give up his
independence so quickly, but everyone supported him to accept the help he needed without losing his pride. He was treated with dignity and a genuine affection by all staff, with them quickly understanding his needs. Support from health professionals was quickly sought if needed, and in his last few days especially we could not have asked for a more supportive, but peaceful time. The kindness we received as family members, despite all being so new to the home, helped us to manage this sad time. It was a shame that Dad was on an adapted diet, as he loved his food and would have enjoyed what was on offer! I would recommend Wiltshire Heights without hesitation.

Mum had two weeks of respite care at Wiltshire Heights, and it has helped her recovery. The staff have been kind and friendly, the food generally good, and there are regular activities for those who want them. There were no restrictions on visiting or on me taking Mum out, which we appreciated.
The
fact that there was no mobile signal inside, and she had to go into the garden to contact me, was a bit of a drawback.

Short version - brilliant!
Long version - I was looking for a 2-week respite stay for my father who has dementia. When I contacted Wiltshire Heights, they were friendly, professional and understanding and after a swiftly arranged visit, I was confident that they would provide the right environment
and care for Dad.
He was quite nervous and reluctant at the prospect of leaving his own home and going into care for a couple of weeks, but after an hour of being settled in, he was thanking me for finding such a nice place for him.
During his stay, he was cared for with patience, politeness and professionalism and a smile at every turn. He was helped and encouraged to socialise and exercise. His diet and general condition improved quite noticeably. Visiting with Dad's dog was positively encouraged.
Both he and we, the family, had a very positive experience.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Hello, my name is Charlie Osgood, and I am the Home Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.


I started my career in care in 1992, working nights as a carer in a nursing home. I loved the job, and it prompted me to undertake my nurse training in London and return to the same nursing home in 2000 in the position of home manager. I then managed this home for three years.


In the 20 years that followed, I have managed two other nursing homes, worked as a training and development manager and also been a regional manager for a small care provider consisting of five care homes.


I am passionate about care and the need to build positive relationships and work in partnership with our residents, their loved ones, our team, local professionals and advocates to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to manage a home as impressive as Wiltshire Heights.

Hello, my name is Jas, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.


I have experience working in various customer service roles, from group reservations and event management to regional sales management. I loved working in events and organising weddings, corporate conferences and seasonal parties. I have also worked for the NHS in various hospitals as a clinical coordinator.


I came into the care sector hoping to use my experience to support our residents in living a well-rounded life. I am able to use my experience in events to plan special occasions for everybody in our home to enjoy, so not only do our residents receive excellent care, but they also have a great time socially as part of the Wiltshire Heights community.


I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this fantastic home.

Sally Bullock

Job Title: Head Housekeeper Joined: 2018

Hello, my name is Sally Bullock, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Wiltshire Heights.


I originally joined Wiltshire Heights as a night carer and eventually became head housekeeper. I loved both roles, however, I feel housekeeping is where my talents really lie. Before this, I worked in a senior school, however after 25 years I decided I wanted to try something different.


As part of my role, I have the privilege of spending time with our residents on a daily basis, mingling and chatting with them and finding out whether there is anything I can do for them. I am lucky to have a great team who keeps our home sparkling clean and shares my sentiment that nothing is too much for our lovely residents.
