Wiltshire Heights is an exceptional 63-bed care home in Bradford-on-Avon with a highly-trained, compassionate team on hand 24 hours a day to provide exceptional residential, dementia, nursing and respite care. My mother moved into the care home six days ago. I feel it has been very positive for Mum and her family. We met with the deputy sister beforehand, when she came to see Mum at home. This made the transition smoother as they had a good understanding of Mum's complex needs. The staff are all fantastic,
warm, friendly, respectful, interested, engaged and kind. This includes the receptionists, cleaners and admin staff. I am very grateful for such a supportive transition so far. Thank you.

Wiltshire Heights is a happy, vibrant place filled with caring, dedicated, and kind staff across the board who spare no effort to make sure Mum feels happy, calm, and at home. Communication between the various members of staff is brilliant resulting in consistently excellent standards being upheld at
all times. As visitors, we are always made to feel very welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. The nursing, general care, cleanliness, and the varied meals served are all outstanding and combine to create a truly lovely 'home from home'. My Mum was only a resident at Wiltshire Heights before she passed away but I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They treated her with dignity and professionalism. I only wish that she could have stayed there a little longer.

All the staff at Wiltshire Heights have been amazing through what has been a very stressful and upsetting time. My mother had a respite stay last year and absolutely loved it. The plan was that when she needed more care than I was able to give her, then she would go back and also if I went on holiday
again, she would stay for a few weeks. Mum had been quite unwell and also had a very nasty fall a few weeks ago and was in the hospital for eleven days. I called Wiltshire Heights and they remembered us from last year. I told them what had happened, that Mum was in the hospital and that I now needed more care. The whole team went above and beyond to get her admitted into Wiltshire Heights and out of the hospital as quickly as possible. They even had the same room available for her from when she stayed last year. I have so much peace of mind knowing that she is well looked after and in a very kind and considerate place. Thank you to all the staff for looking after my lovely mum so well.

I cannot compliment the staff on Poppy Floor sufficiently to recognise their commitment to such high standards of care, especially in difficult circumstances. They are consistently friendly and knowledgeable - the communication is pro-active and detailed. It is so very reassuring to know my father is
very well looked after and safe, particularly over the last 18+ months when visiting has been difficult.

My aunt has only been at Wiltshire Heights for three months but already we can see a great improvement in her. She says she is very happy and doesn't want to move anywhere else. Right from our first enquiry, the staff have been so helpful and friendly, from guiding us through what could have been a
difficult process to keeping us informed and always being available to answer any questions, nothing seems too much trouble. We are so pleased we made the right choice, my aunt has the sparkle back in her eyes and we can relax knowing she is happy, safe and well cared for.

Good points - staff are helpful, kind and always amicable. You have managed to blend clinical care with day to day activities - the food is outstanding and varied. The overall feeling is that we are safe day and night makes the experience unforgettable.
The only matter that needs attention is the limited
Wifi. Telephones are sometimes out of action, people expect to be able to use modern communication. My thanks to all the staff who have treated us so well.

My mother had been living at home with a live-in carer. It got to the stage where I was concerned about her wellbeing, so I called Wilshire Heights on a recommendation from a close friend. The first call to the care home was very positive and reassuring. My mother was swiftly assessed by the head nurse
on the Poppy Ward and was admitted very quickly. The nursing care has been excellent, along with the care assistance too.

Covid-19 was a very challenging time for the staff at Wiltshire Heights. The vigilance and professional approach regarding the staff to this unprecedented situation needs to be commended. My husband was well looked after, albeit for respite care over a period of two weeks. He particularly would like
to thank the male nurse responsible to his room, for his kindness and administering to his personal needs with dignity. The administration department was efficient and the reception response when you telephoned- excellent. Even though we live 80 miles away, the journey outweighs the knowledge that you are being looked after by people who care.

I moved to Wiltshire Heights on 28th May 2019. I am very content here, my room is quite large and very nice. I have some of my own furniture and pictures on the walls. The food is nice and the chef often asks how I am enjoying the meals and is willing to provide what you ask for. We have a large and
nice garden with easy movement from room to garden. The staff and management are very kind and caring with a number of activities during each week.

I have been staying here nearly six months and have settled in nicely. The staff are excellent and very caring. My room is very comfortable and I have some of my own furniture, TV and music. Good selection of food. Enjoy the activities. Thank you to all staff for their wonderful care.

As a new resident, I have found staff to be unfailingly kind and helpful. I have been encouraged to ask for adjustments to diet and routine, which contributes to my general health and well-being. The food is very nicely presented and varied - only the salads seem 'samey'. The dining room, lounge and
library are comfortable and welcoming. I look forward to having my bookcase and some books and pictures in due course. The courtyard areas have plenty of inviting looking seating but the flowerbeds look a bit scruffy. I feel confident that my final years will be happy here.

It's always a hard journey to make the decision to move a loved one into a home. Wiltshire Heights Care Home has made it so much easier. My dad is well looked after, happy and most importantly cared for with a lot of love and respect. He's seen and appreciated for the wonderful man that he is, not just
another old man struggling with dementia. For that, I am extremely grateful and can finally feel at peace with our situation.

Hello, my name is Charlie Osgood, and I am the Home Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.


I started my career in care in 1992, working nights as a carer in a nursing home. I loved the job, and it prompted me to undertake my nurse training in London and return to the same nursing home in 2000 in the position of home manager. I then managed this home for three years.


In the 20 years that followed, I have managed two other nursing homes, worked as a training and development manager and also been a regional manager for a small care provider consisting of five care homes.


I am passionate about care and the need to build positive relationships and work in partnership with our residents, their loved ones, our team, local professionals and advocates to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to manage a home as impressive as Wiltshire Heights.

I have experience working in various customer service roles, from group reservations and event management to regional sales management. I loved working in events and organising weddings, corporate conferences and seasonal parties. I have also worked for the NHS in various hospitals as a clinical coordinator.


I came into the care sector hoping to use my experience to support our residents in living a well-rounded life. I am able to use my experience in events to plan special occasions for everybody in our home to enjoy, so not only do our residents receive excellent care, but they also have a great time socially as part of the Wiltshire Heights community.

Hello, my name is Sally Bullock, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Wiltshire Heights.


I originally joined Wiltshire Heights as a night carer and eventually became head housekeeper. I loved both roles, however, I feel housekeeping is where my talents really lie. Before this, I worked in a senior school, however after 25 years I decided I wanted to try something different.


As part of my role, I have the privilege of spending time with our residents on a daily basis, mingling and chatting with them and finding out whether there is anything I can do for them. I am lucky to have a great team who keeps our home sparkling clean and shares my sentiment that nothing is too much for our lovely residents.
