Wiltshire Heights is an exceptional 63-bed care home in Bradford-on-Avon with a highly-trained, compassionate team on hand 24 hours a day to provide exceptional residential, dementia, nursing and respite care. Those living at Wiltshire Heights benefit from a private bedroom with an en suite wetroom, a choice of lounges to relax in, a bespoke hair salon and a private dining room to celebrate those special family occasions. My aunt has only been at Wiltshire Heights for three months but already we can see a great improvement in her. She says she is very happy and doesn't want to move anywhere else. Right from our first enquiry, the staff have been so helpful and friendly, from guiding us through what could have been a
difficult process to keeping us informed and always being available to answer any questions, nothing seems too much trouble. We are so pleased we made the right choice, my aunt has the sparkle back in her eyes and we can relax knowing she is happy, safe and well cared for.

Good points - staff are helpful, kind and always amicable. You have managed to blend clinical care with day to day activities - the food is outstanding and varied. The overall feeling is that we are safe day and night makes the experience unforgettable.
The only matter that needs attention is the limited
Wifi. Telephones are sometimes out of action, people expect to be able to use modern communication. My thanks to all the staff who have treated us so well.

Thank you for raising the occasional issues regarding the Wi-Fi/telephones. We are aware of the situation and we have recently invested a significant sum of money to try and resolve this, alongside carrying out extensive investigations to identify the root cause. Unfortunately, this is a Bradford-on-Avon wide issue and out of our control. Please rest assured we will continue to do all in our power to try and work with the relevant parties to resolve this.

I am very happy in my care home at Wiltshire Heights Care Home.
The food is good and the carers are bright, especially the one who speaks to me.

My mother had been living at home with a live-in carer. It got to the stage where I was concerned about her wellbeing, so I called Wilshire Heights on a recommendation from a close friend. The first call to the care home was very positive and reassuring. My mother was swiftly assessed by the head nurse
on the Poppy Ward and was admitted very quickly. The nursing care has been excellent, along with the care assistance too.

Covid-19 was a very challenging time for the staff at Wiltshire Heights. The vigilance and professional approach regarding the staff to this unprecedented situation needs to be commended. My husband was well looked after, albeit for respite care over a period of two weeks. He particularly would like
to thank the male nurse responsible to his room, for his kindness and administering to his personal needs with dignity. The administration department was efficient and the reception response when you telephoned- excellent. Even though we live 80 miles away, the journey outweighs the knowledge that you are being looked after by people who care.

I moved to Wiltshire Heights on 28th May 2019. I am very content here, my room is quite large and very nice. I have some of my own furniture and pictures on the walls. The food is nice and the chef often asks how I am enjoying the meals and is willing to provide what you ask for. We have a large and
nice garden with easy movement from room to garden. The staff and management are very kind and caring with a number of activities during each week.

I have been staying here nearly six months and have settled in nicely. The staff are excellent and very caring. My room is very comfortable and I have some of my own furniture, TV and music. Good selection of food. Enjoy the activities. Thank you to all staff for their wonderful care.

As a new resident, I have found staff to be unfailingly kind and helpful. I have been encouraged to ask for adjustments to diet and routine, which contributes to my general health and well-being. The food is very nicely presented and varied - only the salads seem 'samey'. The dining room, lounge and
library are comfortable and welcoming. I look forward to having my bookcase and some books and pictures in due course. The courtyard areas have plenty of inviting looking seating but the flowerbeds look a bit scruffy. I feel confident that my final years will be happy here.

It's always a hard journey to make the decision to move a loved one into a home. Wiltshire Heights Care Home has made it so much easier. My dad is well looked after, happy and most importantly cared for with a lot of love and respect. He's seen and appreciated for the wonderful man that he is, not just
another old man struggling with dementia. For that, I am extremely grateful and can finally feel at peace with our situation.

My mother moved in a week before the first lockdown, so my experience of Wiltshire Heights has sadly been through a year of rules and regulations due to the pandemic. Wiltshire Heights has been totally professional during this period, keeping residents and staff safe from the virus. The communication
has been excellent, keeping me up to date with Mum's health and well-being. The staff have been innovative in their activities and entertainment for the residents. It has been an extremely difficult time and I have nothing but admiration and praise for the staff at Wilshire Heights.

I have always found Wilshire Heights Care Home to be professionally run, with warmth and humour. The meals are excellent and staff help to cater for individual preferences. My mother-in-law had to move recently when her previous care home closed, at very short notice. She was naturally very upset and anxious about moving. But we had heard very good things about Wiltshire Heights and we were all so happy they could accommodate her. The moving process was handled with great
efficiency and also great sensitivity. My mother-in-law is settling very well and has nothing but praise for the staff and all the facilities.

They are always available and ready to answer and questions and queries we might have. We have particularly appreciated the time and

My Aunt came to Wiltshire Heights for respite after a fall. When she entered the home, her confidence was at an all-time low. The whole family was extremely concerned that she wouldn’t recover her mobility or be able to live independently again, as she wished. Over six weeks, the staff and activities
rebuilt her confidence and encouraged her to be more mobile. On the first day, she phoned me to say she’d been doing indoor netball (from a wheelchair). Before entry, the staff paid particular attention to what she liked doing and encouraged her to join in with community activities, so that she engaged with the other residents. By the time she returned home, there was a remarkable turnaround – she was happy, relaxed and had learnt exercises that she still practices every day.

Wiltshire Heights immediately gave us a feeling of homeliness, comfort, and care. I've always received good, clear and detailed information about Mum's condition and she has always appeared to be well cared for and comfortable. Mum arrived at lunchtime and her food looked very appetizing. I feel very
confident that she will continue to receive the best care. Yes, it's expensive, but that is partly an issue that successive governments have failed to deal with.

Hello, my name is Charlie Osgood, and I am the Home Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.


I started my career in care in 1992, working nights as a carer in a nursing home. I loved the job, and it prompted me to undertake my nurse training in London and return to the same nursing home in 2000 in the position of home manager. I then managed this home for three years.


In the 20 years that followed, I have managed two other nursing homes, worked as a training and development manager and also been a regional manager for a small care provider consisting of five care homes.


I am passionate about care and the need to build positive relationships and work in partnership with our residents, their loved ones, our team, local professionals and advocates to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to manage a home as impressive as Wiltshire Heights.

I have experience working in various customer service roles, from group reservations and event management to regional sales management. I loved working in events and organising weddings, corporate conferences and seasonal parties. I have also worked for the NHS in various hospitals as a clinical coordinator.


I came into the care sector hoping to use my experience to support our residents in living a well-rounded life. I am able to use my experience in events to plan special occasions for everybody in our home to enjoy, so not only do our residents receive excellent care, but they also have a great time socially as part of the Wiltshire Heights community.

Hello, my name is Sally Bullock, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Wiltshire Heights.


I originally joined Wiltshire Heights as a night carer and eventually became head housekeeper. I loved both roles, however, I feel housekeeping is where my talents really lie. Before this, I worked in a senior school, however after 25 years I decided I wanted to try something different.


As part of my role, I have the privilege of spending time with our residents on a daily basis, mingling and chatting with them and finding out whether there is anything I can do for them. I am lucky to have a great team who keeps our home sparkling clean and shares my sentiment that nothing is too much for our lovely residents.
