I would highly recommend Wiltshire Heights Care Home. My father was very well cared for during his recent stay at this home. All the staff were highly professional and treated him with great kindness, dignity and respect. He was terminally ill and the staff ensured that he had the calm, safe and peaceful environment that he needed during the final stage of his life. I know how much he liked being there and we both felt how lucky we were to have found this home. I will always be grateful to them for the way in which they cared for him.

I am very impressed with the level of care provided and the professional manner in which the home is run. The carers and all the staff are enthusiastic. I visit my mother at the home nearly every day and I have never seen any member of staff act disrespectfully or without care. The care home building has been carefully designed to encourage residents to eat together and has lots of communal space and activities. There is access to an open-air balcony, sheltered from the wind or the garden from all floors which has been wonderful for sitting and chatting. When it became inevitable that my mother would have to move to a care home, I investigated the care homes in the area and was shown around five of them. I found Wiltshire Heights was the best choice and I have not had any reason to change my mind.

I enjoyed my stay for 2 weeks.
Strange at first but met some very nice clients and got on well with them.
I thought the idea of 2 lounges very good for the TV or for a quiet hour in the other one, a very relaxing experience.
Also a brilliant idea of being able to have breakfast at a very good time, no hassle at all.
I hope this is of some help.

Thank you once again for my stay at Wiltshire Heights.

My Mum spent two weeks of respite at Wiltshire Heights while I was on holiday and everything was first class. The introductory session regarding care package was extremely extensive, and several topics such as visits from a nutritionist, following up x-ray and eye test appointments were followed up during this time, which was above and beyond what was expected. The food and activities were great, and Mum also saw a hairdresser and chiropodist during her stay.

Would have no qualms about her going back for more respite in the future.

This is a wonderful modern home which actually feels like home. The care my mother receives is always professional around the clock and delivered by friendly dedicated staff. Our Labrador is welcome on the premises and I even get told off by the residents if I don't bring him along! I cannot recommend Wiltshire Heights too highly.

Wiltshire Heights is a smoothly operating, competent and professional organisation which puts clients at the centre of all decisions. The staff are very supportive of my sister and have taken great pains to understand and meet her needs. They observe and are able to inform me about her current health and emotional condition. The home was able to help us look after visiting relations from Devon, organising a buffet lunch and a private dining space. I feel that personnel whilst caring totally for my sister, are very supportive and compassionate to us, her relatives.

My mother has settled well and often said how kind the carers are. She says she is never bored and there are lots to do. The family feel welcome when visiting and the atmosphere calm. Referral to her GP, when required, has been prompt and appropriate which has reassured us.

Quality & care my father has received allows our family to sleep at night. We breathe a sigh of relief knowing that my father is safe, warm & cared for as a human being with dignity.
It's a hard road my father is travelling down, to see that the staff engage, laugh & share time with is important, they know him perhaps not as he was but how he is now. I see the genuine friendliness & love they have for him.
If there is a need for anything medical they are professional never taking anything for granted when responding to health issues.
Excellent at keeping the family updated & so good at guiding us through the stages of this condition.
I can see a genuine commitment & shared attitudes to the well being of my father ..............
The rooms are a good size with excellent ensuite bathroom facilities, the rooms are warm & decor of a high standard.
The communal areas very good most afternoon the "Big Movie" is put on which is enjoyed, plenty of actives & trips.

Excellent all round.

I have piece of mind that Mother is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. The activities are particularly helpful in maintaining her mental wellbeing. We are always welcomed by staff whenever we visit. The common lounges are essential to seeing visitors in a room that is not a bedroom maintains dignity.
Our Mothers room is not large but she has easy access to a garden area. The garden has improved since a gardener has been employed, as it is not reasonable to expect the activities staff to have the knowledge and resources to maintain an appealing looking garden.
We appreciate the options Mother has to go on outings in the minibus .
When she has been feeling unwell staff have been very considerate and caring. Easy access to the Doctor and Nurse are important so her concerns can be addressed promptly and anxiety reduced.

The Manager is very approachable and accessible for relatives to raise issues .She has raised the standard of care since Mother took up Residence.

Our mum went into the home in March as, being nearly 97, she was very frail. She had not wanted to leave her home but the excellent food, wonderful care and entertainment she could join in meant she was happy to be there. She liked her room which was light and comfortable and joined other residents to eat and at other times.

Her care could not have been better so her last few months were comfortable and she was safe and well looked after.

We have been delighted with the way in which my father has been welcomed to the home.

He is 93 years old and had to travel from Australia to join us in England. He settled in immediately and has often told us how wonderful the staff are and how kind they are. We visit dad regularly so we can see for ourselves that this is the case. He looks ten years younger, is eating very well and is obviously content. Thank you to all.

Very pleased with the home, my husband has settled very well. Only a slight problem is that there are too many spicy main courses. Would prefer the English cooking that he is used to.

Reply from Sharon Adams, Home Manager at Wiltshire Heights Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to review our lovely home. I'm pleased your husband is settling well. Thank you also for your feedback about the menus. There are a variety of menu options available in addition to the main menus, including lighter bites and snack menus.

Charlie Osgood
Charlie OsgoodJob Title Home ManagerJoined 2023

Hello, my name is Charlie Osgood, and I am the Home Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.

I started my career in care in 1992, working nights as a carer in a nursing home. I loved the job, and it prompted me to undertake my nurse training in London and return to the same nursing home in 2000 in the position of home manager. I then managed this home for three years.

In the 20 years that followed, I have managed two other nursing homes, worked as a training and development manager and also been a regional manager for a small care provider consisting of five care homes.

I am passionate about care and the need to build positive relationships and work in partnership with our residents, their loved ones, our team, local professionals and advocates to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to manage a home as impressive as Wiltshire Heights.

Jaspreet Price
Jaspreet PriceJob Title Client Services ManagerJoined 2020

Hello, my name is Jas, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.

I have experience working in various customer service roles, from group reservations and event management to regional sales management. I loved working in events and organising weddings, corporate conferences and seasonal parties. I have also worked for the NHS in various hospitals as a clinical coordinator.

I came into the care sector hoping to use my experience to support our residents in living a well-rounded life. I am able to use my experience in events to plan special occasions for everybody in our home to enjoy, so not only do our residents receive excellent care, but they also have a great time socially as part of the Wiltshire Heights community.

I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this fantastic home.

Sally Bullock
Sally BullockJob Title Head HousekeeperJoined 2018

Hello, my name is Sally Bullock, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Wiltshire Heights.

I originally joined Wiltshire Heights as a night carer and eventually became head housekeeper. I loved both roles, however, I feel housekeeping is where my talents really lie. Before this, I worked in a senior school, however after 25 years I decided I wanted to try something different.

As part of my role, I have the privilege of spending time with our residents on a daily basis, mingling and chatting with them and finding out whether there is anything I can do for them. I am lucky to have a great team who keeps our home sparkling clean and shares my sentiment that nothing is too much for our lovely residents.
