Coming to visit my mother-in-law at Bourley Grange is a breath of fresh air. Beautifully clean and well-furnished, superb cuisine, friendly and helpful staff. Bourley has made me completely re-imagine what life in a care home would be like. Mother-in-law is receiving great care and is very happy. Thanks to all the lovely staff who work hard to make it happen.

Peter arrived at Bourley Grange in October 2025 after living in London since 1960. Due to personal reasons, he needed more care, and I was looking for somewhere closer to me.
From the moment my friend and I walked into Bourley Grange, we both knew straight away that it was the perfect place for Peter. The warm welcome, the friendly smiles, and the attitude that nothing was ever too much trouble made a lasting impression.
It's such a comfort to know that your loved one is safe, well looked after, and genuinely cared for-it really is a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend Bourley Grange to anyone, and I'd like to say a big thank you to all the team for the hard work they do every single day.

What truly stands out is the low turnover of staff. You regularly see the same faces, get to know them by name, and they get to know you too. That consistency really shows that this is not only a wonderful place for residents, but also a great place to work. It contributes to a truly pers

Bourley Grange offers high quality care in pleasant surroundings with comfortable rooms. Of course, of course. But the thing that really makes it a wonderful place are the staff and the spirit of love, fun and respect that pervades the place. I have been visiting relatives here for 2 years now and the team remains virtually unchanged - the sign of happy staff members. Every day they go above and beyond to bring laughter and love to residents and family. I really can't thank them enough. Even from the depths of dementia they can still coax a smile from my Mum. I don't want her to be in a care home, but if she has to be I don't think there is a better place.

The upstairs lounge needs smartening up, it looks a bit tired.
The grandstand area by the entrance which is used for a lot of functions would benefit from being extended.

Keep up the good work, my mother in law is well looked after, and I regularly tell people when discussing care homes how good Bourley Grange is. Your staff are also very caring and do a great job.

Initial greeting from staff was very helpful & friendly. Cheerful & inclusive atmosphere, plenty of light & bright well-maintained decoration of public spaces with great photos of 50s American pool life on the walls instead of usual dreary choice. Beautiful gardens. Plenty of activities. A huge improvement on her previous home.

A high standard of maintenance and cleaning is kept at all times. The food is varied and residents views are taken into account. Staff excell in engaging with the residents and families with wide and varied activities available every day. Families are kept up to date with any health issues and are also included to join some activities, if they are available to attend. You can visit when you want and I have found that you always get a warm welcome. The dementia care is excellent.

On the initial visit I knew immediately it was the right place for my father. The staff are all fabulous, knowledgeable, friendly and very adept providing the complex care my Dad requires. Best description is a posh hotel for old people. I've eaten there and you can tell the food is all cooked from scratch and is of a very high standard. A really lovely home and so glad I found it. Dad's really enjoys it here as they do so much with them its never a dull day.

My mother-in-law is well cared for at Bourley Grange. We feel she is safe and valued there. Residents are treated with respect and as individuals. The food is excellent and there is a good range of activities, run by the creative and caring Sajil. When we have had queries or issues regarding her care, these have been dealt with swiftly and sensitively. We are always given a warm welcome by staff, who address us by name.

My 102 year old mother spent 2.5 weeks at Bourley Grange while my husband and I went on holiday. She was very well cared for by lovely staff who were always smiling! She enjoyed all the activities particularly the flower arranging. As my father was in the army and fought in Nepal during WWII she felt very much at home with the Nepalese staff and the care for Veterans which the home focuses on. She told her friends she would be very happy to be at Bourley Grange again in the future if I went on holiday - which is very comforting for me to know

Mum was nervous about moving into a care home as she had been totally independent before circumstances changed and she needed to be in a environment where she was comfortable and looked after but still able to be a little independent.
Bourley Grange have been wonderful, within a week of mum moving in she was so happy and enjoying herself. Mums just celebrated her 97th birthday and she was made to feel special, with an absolutely beautiful cake.
Day to day activities and outings are always fun. Food is always great and visitors are always welcome to join mum for lunch.

I can see how much mum is enjoying her new home and we are happy that we made the right choice with choosing Bourley Grange.

My mum has been at Bourley Grange for nearly 3 years and it does not have the usual care home feel. This is a warm welcoming community. Every member of staff is engaged in giving afirst class service. The environment is like a hotel, the food is amazing, the nursing and care staff are always kind and professional. There is always some activities taking place and trips out in the bus

I asked my mum last week if she was happy and she said "very happy" what more can you ask for.

My mum came to the home for some respite care and the welcome that she received was amazing. The staff are lovely and friendly & it is clearly a happy environment. My mum has dementia but she was stimulated by acitivities, chats to staff & other residents and she came home more animated & interested in her surroundings which was lovely to see. My mum was very well looked after & we look forward to her visiting again.

Racquel MerdegiaJob Title:General Manager

I’m a trained nurse and have a passion for delivering high-quality dementia care and end of life care. I’ve been a care home General Manager for over five years and can’t imagine doing anything else, I love what I do. Care UK puts residents at the heart of everything – something that echoes my values and care ethos.

We’re a closely-knit team at Bourley Grange; residents and colleagues are like one big family. I enjoy guiding the team to do their best work, modelling great care and even providing hands-on care whenever the team needs some extra support.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling and getting out into nature. I also do some voluntary work, and I get a huge buzz out of raising money for good causes like the Alzheimer’s Society. I even did a skydive to fundraise for them!
