Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

I am very happy with the standard of care my dad receives in the home, the staff, food and personal care are all fantastic and Dad is looked after very well by the nursing staff when it is needed. My only problem is the signal for mobile phones is very poor in my dad's room and we struggle to call him
at times, the coffee machine is often broken but the cakes/treats on offer are fabulous.

My husband moved into Perry Manor after spending 4 months in the hospital after a stroke, he has settled in well. The nurses and carers have been extremely careful in managing his needs and have done this in a kind and compassionate manner. He is treated with great respect, in fact, the whole ethos
of Perry Manor is respectful ensuring dignity and consideration. It is a lively and friendly environment. Visitors and family are really well treated too.

Mum arrived in Perry Manor after a fantastic welcome service provided by admissions after a long hospital stay.
Perry Manor have worked very hard to get to know Mum. I have watched as she has grown in confidence with support/care provided which is very often above/beyond. This collectively comes from
receptionists/nurses/cleaners/housekeeping and senior staff who all work very hard to bring a professional/friendly service which mum now calls home.
Mum suffers from anxiety as she no longer walks and feels frustrated not being able to get to one place or another the way she used to. All staff recognize this, are patient/kind/reassuring especially when family are not around which is extremely comforting.
Mum enjoys going to lunch/dinner with her new resident friends and spending quality time with family and friends drinking frothy coffee/cake and we all wonder what lovely cake is being made every day. We've all got s little bigger but hey it's Christmas!! Well done Perry Manor.

My parents have recently moved to Perry Manor and all staff have ensured that they settle in well. Whilst my Dad's room is on the nursing floor and Mum on residential, the staff do their utmost to ensure that they spend quality time together throughout the day. My parents are welcomed on both floors
by catering staff for meals and the food is excellent with plenty of choice. All the staff make my parents feel at home and visitors are made very welcome.

1) Lack of full-time Manager
2) Complete review of catering and dining room service required.
A) Poor food choices/very poor presentation of meals/staff helping themselves to finger food during service.
B) Very poor ambience in the dining room (Cromwell) - staff flying around all the time cf New

We appreciate you taking time to provide feedback on Perry Manor and are delighted to see your positive score on our activities and facilities. The home manager has recently been supporting a sister home for a couple of days a week but she is now back at Perry Manor full time. During that period we did increase the number of unit managers to provide additional management support. We acknowledge your issues regarding our catering - sadly we recently lost our head chef. We have now appointed a new chef who will work with residents to develop new menu choices. Our dining rooms do get busy and in Cromwell, we have appointed a new hostess to improve the dining experience. We are surprised to learn about your comments regarding communication. At Perry Manor communication is a key focus and we would expect that any concerns could be addressed in the variety of meetings such as the monthly community meeting, residents' “Perry Manor Voices” meeting and the monthly relatives meeting. The manager is extremely approachable and encourages relatives to come to her with any concerns - her office in the heart of the home and her door is always open.

My friend is a resident is very happy and contented in Perry Manor. The meals seem very good and the staff are very kind, thoughtful and understanding. Sometimes I feel they are too busy as my friend has had to wait quite a long time, sometimes several hours for a personal need to be taken care of.
This may be due to staff shortages or just a lot to be done at that particular time.

Overall, I'm very happy with the care my father receives. The only possible complaint is staffing but I realise that this is a problem in all homes and the staff you have are wonderful. The best thing about my dad staying here is that when I bring him home after a day out my father and I breathe a sigh

From the start of my residence, I have felt safe, comfortable and well cared for. The place is clean and well maintained. Any complaints are dealt with promptly. I can choose to enjoy privacy in my room or mingle with others in the lounges and during communal events which are regularly held here. We
have varied menus of reasonable high standard and alternatives are offered also. The staff are so considerate, caring and often go to the extreme. This is my home.

Excellent level of care. Both parents have dementia. Initially, they shared a bedroom and sitting room on the first floor. One is now on the ground floor because the other showed signs of aggression. It's great that they have been kept in the same home. The care on the ground floor is not tailored to
dementia so it feels less good.
Unfortunate that Care UK tried to increase fees by 6% more than inflation.

Facilities are very modern, good layout, very bright and airy. Rooms are a good size and again are bright and airy. Kept clean and fresh. Staff are very friendly, helpful and caring, both to residents and relatives.


Great choice of food, all freshly cooked. Also, any requests are catered for.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, and prior to joining Perry Manor in 2016, I was Deputy Hospital Director of a 63-bed psychiatric hospital in Bristol. I originally joined Care UK in 2006 and worked in its mental health division. The idea of returning to work for the organisation was attractive because I believed in its core values, and respected its ‘care first, business second’ approach.


Since joining the Perry Manor team, I’ve been making positive changes for both the residents and my colleagues. I was thrilled when we received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission at our inspection in late 2018. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this quality rating.


I’ve also been honoured to have won a couple of recent awards for my work. In 2019 I won silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards and in the same year I won the award for Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards.


I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic home we’ve created for older people in Worcester – none of which would have been possible without the commitment and passion of the team at Perry Manor. When you work in a care home you realise that it is organic, there will never be a finished product. It continues to grow, change and develop. Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to deliver the best care to every resident, keeping up-to-date with the latest practice and working with residents and their families to make Perry Manor a home from home for all of our residents.
