Edgbaston Manor

The staff are very welcoming, professional and friendly but mostly importantly respectful to the residents needs. All my visits to my family friend have become cherished memories, more recently the one I did yesterday 12 September 2026, and meeting Bal upon arrival. Thank you for the valuable and brilliant work you all do. xxx

I just want to thank Bal (receptionist & carer) for always being professional compassionate & caring which extends to me as the daughter of a resident. Cedrick the chef is so dedicated & makes my mothers textured meals look appetising. Just a lovely addition to the team. Troy for ensuring my mothers room is clean & safe. Always professional Shazia - always kind & caring to mum. Finally its lovely to see Jenna back from maternity leave.

She really does need that encouragement and would often prefer to stay in bed. When I visited she was alert, content + very chatty.

All facilities are excellent, building is kept to an exemplary standard. Resident entertainment is amazing. Food/meals are such a high standard.

If you want somewhere that looks beautiful and is well maintained this may be the place for you. I visit people in lots of private and council homes and sadly I would have to say that although there are some people who care a lot and try to do their best to cover the gaps in resources and staffing, it is certainly not what I would want for my relatives or friends. Care is haphazard and uncoordinated and the carers will tell you that they are not able to help anyone make best choices even if they have no capacity. No bed rails, walking or other mobility aids, doors that can be locked from the inside even if a resident does not understand the dangers, not enough staff to help with feeding or other needs. Apparently these are Care UK policies. There is a daily programme of activities maximum 2 hours per day and residents can go to the dining room on each floor for meals. Apart from that they are largely on their own. I hope mine was an isolated experience and that yours will be better.

My sister has settled happily in the care home. She and I find all the staff friendly and helpful. The food is very good too. Even in the very hot weather her room has been pleasantly cool. Visitors are made very welcome.

Met some very nice staff,had a sit down in reception with a coffee for a chat with my pal. We then proceeded to the rooftop terrace. Overall, it was a pleasant experience considering the circumstances.

Wow wow wow- amazing care home- 100%quality- from reception (Bal) to all staff - nothing is to much for all of them, met many staff ie danayell chloe- all good over and above their duty, would recommend this care facility to anyone, Amazing.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and treated the patients with care and respect however on my last visit in the evening there were limited staff on the floor and some of the patients were quite agitated and approaching my siblings and myself for support

The staff are so kind and supportive, and a lovely warm environment is created. I would like to write a special acknowledgement to Ball, she is always very upbeat and helpful! My grandad seems very settled here.

Very welcoming and attentive staff, from both the reception and the staff upstairs. My Grandmother is in very high spirits and is well taken care of, the facilities are made with her dementia in mind, including her room and I can rest easy with her being there.

I cannot speak highly enough of this care home. From walking into reception where there is a fabulous welcome station with refreshments for visitors and friendly staff such as Bal ready to greet you. It is really welcoming and really homely. Rather a home from home for all of the residents who live there. The atmosphere in this home is always calm and very welcoming. With plenty of activities for the residents to do with the co-ordinator Jan. The staff in the home are absolutely fabulous they are always patient and always willing to help you with anything. It is a very big transition to have a loved one in care but knowing how well my grandad is looked after at this home and how happy he seems is so reassuring for our family. We are grateful for all that the staff at Edgbaston Manor for everything they have done and continue to do for our loved one. Cannot recommend this care home enough as they truely care for our loved ones a second family which they definitely

Lovley staff always make us feel warm and welcome, so good with children coming in aswel they help with anything you need, there the best care home my mom has ever been too they go above and beyond to look after my mom and make sure she well and healthy the staff are truley amazing.

Staff are beyond amazing, they just welcome you in they care for my mom better than any other care home !! Always happy to come here and see my mom happy and in high spirits. Always offer cakes and hot drinks on them horrible winter mornings!

Knowing my mother is being well looked after brings real peace of mind. I'm very grateful to the whole team for the care, respect, and support they show every day

I visit every other day to see my mother to is a resident of Edgbaston Manor - I am amazed at the level of care, the staff are wonderful and give so much time to each resident who are treated with compassion and respect. Everyone is included in the activities which they all enjoy. The Reception staff are always helpful and cheerful when I visit, I cannot fault anything with the home and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Mum is getting very good care at the Home. She is very frail & bedridden and is being well looked after. Bal on the front desk is very caring & thoughtful and has come up with some good ideas about how to support mum.

Get the food right and you couldn't ask for anything more!
